Cambyses walked up onto deck, dabbing briefly at the bloodstains on his overcoat with a bottle of Nikolas & Sons Instant Ablution Absolution, before addressing the group, " Well I was able to sew up our monster-hunting friend's wounds and he doesn't look like he is going to suffer True Death, so I suppose everything worked out in the end. That being said, he looks like he will be travelling with the Boatman for a while yet." Turning to face the forest of stalactites, he murmured. "So this is Gaider's Mourn. I've never been here myself, but I know a few people that have." Memories of spirals of verse, written on clay limbs and a voice oddly soft for such a huge frame flash through his mind. Shaking himself from his reminiscing he looked over at The Broken Zubmariner. "I confess that my knowledge of Gaider's Mourn is somewhat lacking, yet somehow I suspect that purchasing supplies will not be a simple as a trip to Wolfstack Dock. So where do we begin Captain?"

"Well then!" Jessica claps her hands together and speaks in her usual, cheery voice. "While you go ahead and collect what we need, I am going to attend to some business. I have some connections within Gaider's Mourn that I have not used for some time, who knows what excitement awaits me when I get into contact with them? I will be back soon!" Before anybody can protest her sudden wish to depart from the others, the redhead turns towards the bustling docks and makes her way through it. Her chosen outfit makes her blend in perfectly and she disappears swiftly from sight. It is just like her to wander off from company due to her own needs and wants, Jessica has a very short attention span and if everybody here is going to talk all about the essential supplies for the journey, she get will just die of boredom. Usually, she would just endure it if it would benefit her personally. However, it does not.
As she gracefully dodges through the crowds of clay men and zailors, who are keeping a wary eye on the redhead dressed up as a typical pickpocket, Jessica's faithful companion Fredrick joins her, hopping onto her shoulders to hitch a ride. "Oi luv, I think that wannabe Indiana Jones might be a problem for yer. Lil' bugger boy may make talk bigger than his boots, but somethin' ain't right in that noggin' of 'is." The feline warns her in a low voice, remembering how he spoke like a total psychopath in one of the cabins. Jessica merely smirks confidently. "Mr. Edison is clever and he is much more than he wants to reveal. But he is exactly that, my dear Fredrick; a boy. He lacks patience and sloppily revealed to me that he is not who he says he is. Rather careless of him." She speaks as she continues to dip and dive out of people's way, careful not to bump into any of them. Zailors and Clay men are covered in all sorts of filth, her tail coat was expensive and she's already lost one piece of luxurious clothing today, she will not lose another. "And of course he isn't sane, nobody in London is sane, but he is still useful... He wishes to learn everything and anything and the good professor only knows so much. Me? I know almost everything of interest, he will eventually want me to educate him. We shall see where it leads from there..." She ponders that thought. Would he be smart enough to see reason and come to an agreement? Perhaps not, but she has ways to make it impossible to show his face in London again without risking True Death. That would be a shame... She admires his bravado.
"If yer say so..." Fredrick mumbles skeptically, resting his chin on her shoulder and trying to nurse his headache. Damn rodent is a tough one... Jessica nods with a smile and leans close to his ear, whispering. "Indulge yourself, my darling. Find all the secrets that you wish, you deserve it after the rough-housing you received." She tells him. Of course she cares for Fredrick's wellbeing, but she also knows that he will share whatever he discovers with her. Jessica likes that about their companionship. With a grunt, the brilliantly white cat hops off the redhead's shoulders and onto a nearby ledge, walking along it and keeping those feline ears sharp for words of interest.
The redhead continues her way through the worn down streets of Gaider's Mourn, she will catch sight of one of her contacts sooner or later...

Another day, another merchant whose pockets are quite a bit lighter. Though if her calculations were correct he'd make triple what she took from him, from his purchase of those church candles. There is likely to be an influx in demand for them in the tomb colony if her previous customers' scheme was successful. However, it'd take some time for him to get back so it'd be best to find a new target to help her towards her goal. Most of the usual targets in her area were either waiting for a return on an investment she recommended or were rushing towards their destruction. The latter was common when they didn't listen to her suggestions. She had a head for business but why get into an honest trade and become a rival when you can steal other people's work and still have them love you?
But what will be tonight's target? Most people who walked past or looked admiringly at her outfit were far too poor or irrelevant to bother herself with. Though, who is that? She looked curiously at the woman dressed as a pickpocket. She may look like a common thief but the way she holds herself gives her away. Something else that stands out about her act is the way she seems to be looking for someone specific. She obviously isn't what she appears to be, but what could she be if not that? She licked her lips as the woman passed by her. Hopefully she's some naive noble that she can use to her benefit. She lets her hand brush against the young woman's arm, "Looking for someone my dear?" She asks with a raised brow.

The Captain nods as Lady Jessica departs. "I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours ma'am." Ze turns to the others. "It is a risky business Professor, there is a wary truce but the pirates are not fond of subjects of her Enduring Majesty so I prefer not to make the purchases myself because I'd be cheated or outright turned away." Ze paused for a second before continuing. "I have an... acquaintance, of sorts." And occasionally more ze thought internally remembering those days spent sparring both with blades and in bed. Ze wondered if the mark ze'd carved on her back was still there as the one she'd inked on hir was. "She still owes me a favour from the time I picked up her lifeboat and would probably be willing to act as an intermediary for us but it has been a couple of years and much can change here in that time so I would appreciate as many of you as possible to accompany me and watch my back less some rogue place a knife in it."

The redhead departas soon as she announce her plan, preventing Elisa to protest, the woman is still probably annoyed about her dress' state so it's best to let her do her business alone for now, Elisa might have to watch for gift to replace it, if that port have some nice clothing sotre around. With Jessica gone she have no other choice to indulge in the captain's request, the woman steps forward and clears her throat. "If I may captain, i could look for your safety while you deal with your task at hand." Bodyguarding was basically her second job by now, the burden of dealing with a curious alcoholic; She smirks at Cambyses and Edward. "Will you gentlemen help a lady in need or should I ask some of the crew to come along ?"

Jessica is incresingly getting lost... Of course this happened, her impulsiveness usually makes her act without considering a plan when it comes to trivial matters. She knows that whatever her contacts here know will probably benefit her much back in London, but you never know what you might discover. She pauses for a second and brings out her canteen full of Black Wing Absinthe, a drink rumoured to be sentient. Well, it's drinkable and barely kills her, that's all this redhead needs to know. It gives her quite a nice level of intoxication too.
As she ponders where to go next, she feels something brush against her arm. She looks in the direction of that feeling to see a pretty, short girl with brown hair. Her style of dress and the way she holds herself indicates to Jessica that this girl is a woman of pleasure for the lower class. She is rather attractive, though the look in her eyes says it all; devious, cunning and very ambitious. Quite like herself, she likes that... Oh wait she asked a question? She was barely listening... "Oh no, my dear. I'm not looking for sexual activities right now. I am currently looking for somebody!" She says cheerfully, the question that was asked of her completely went over her head and mistakened it for another she would guess a prostitute would ask... She picks a path and begins her journey again, taking another Swig of her canteen before attaching it to her belt.
