Lyvyne shakes her head to Desmond's question about if her own wound still hurts, although it is a slight lie. The pain still lingers and she will have trouble gripping things with the hand for a while, but it's nothing she cannot manage. Besides, the bleeding is staunched and the bandages won't be needed for now.
When the other human comes back with two pairs a clothes, one is handed to her... She tends to find ordinary clothing impractical at times... Restrictive of limbs. It always confused her why they wear so much coverage. She shyly takes the clothes with a smile, but begins to unfold the shirt. With a clawed hand, she uses her talons to create two slits in the back large enough for her wings to fit through, then cutting the sleeves shorter for more flexibility. Satisfied with the modifications, she begins to change into them by putting them over her current clothing. She then nods to Desmond, ready to move out.

With the supplies gathered and the party ready they set off on their journey south. The journey should take roughly a week to complete. Early into the journey the werewolf pack simply vanished. There was no sign of where they had gone and Desmond was content to move on without them. Lyvyne had taken some convincing to agree to push on but after the better part of two hours waiting for them it was decided they had to get moving. Desmond was glad for their departure, he felt uneasy enough around the Witch as it was. The journey was quiet for the most part so far. Desmond felt the Kerboa's eyes on him every moment of the trip. He'd not seen it so far but he knew it was there, watching for danger, watching him as well. For the most part Desmond tried to pay as little attention to Lucia as possible. For the most part he had seen hardly more than a handful of words to her. The young hunter was far happier to spend his time conversing with Lyvyne and Dorian. Lyvyne had seen a marked improvement in Desmond's demeanor once the wolves were gone. He'd gotten more talkative on the second day and by midday on the third day of their trip he had taken to humming a merry tune that Lyvyne had heard him hum back in the village. The extra clothes proved to be a great boon as well for both of them when a cold front rolled through on the second day. It was cold enough to see your breathe in the air as they traveled. The child had waned a bit by the time they reached the halfway point in their journey. During the trip they had passed a few different villages. They had not stopped for long in these places despite the hospitality the villagers offered.
However, during the third day of their travel the band of travelers arrived upon the city of Stockton. Roughly half way between where they started and their destination. The city was big by Desmond's standards. "Would you look at that." He said before giving a whistle at the sight of the city not too far off. "I've never been this far south before. Do either of you know what town that is?" He asked to both Dorian and Lyvyne.

The journey was a long one for the group. Lyvyne mostly kept to Desmond's side to watch over his state over time, she was happy with the result; he is slowly becoming more of himself. When the Kveldulf just somehow vanished, Lyvyne refused to make their travel without them. They protected her and Desmond in a dire moment of need, she felt her debt to them remains unpaid and the fact that they disappeared without a single word of action really bothered her. With convincing from the trio of humans and quite a bit of time, the Avalon just had to resign that there's no way to determine if they're coming back at all, let alone where they went. It is still bothering her now like a bad itch that can't be scratched. An incomplete debt of honour is a serious thing to her kind... But had to accept that she can't repay it they are no Kveldulf around to repay... The Witch, Lucia, tended to keep mostly to herself. She kept her distance from Desmond and he did the same with her, it seems she wasn't as social as the other two. In fact, it was very difficult to determine what she was thinking or how she was feeling being as closed off as she is, the only person who would be close enough to determine that would be Dorian, the other human stranger. He talks to her from time to time in their travels. Mostly it's one sided with Lucia giving short answers sounding bored and disinterested. Then again, there's the rare moments where she opens up more to him, beginning to lead the conversation with questions of her own and is less curt about her answers to his. Lyvyne can see why Lucia is comfortable around him, Dorian seems kind. Although still shy around him, the man seems quite intelligent and social. She admires that confidence around strangers, wishing that she could adopt the same outlook when talking to people... She's still learning their language every day, so it's an understandable circumstance why the Avalon falls behind within the conversing with Desmond being the only exception.
Keeping stocked on food and supplies was difficult with Winter coming in. The temperature dropped considerably, as did the amount of fauna to hunt. Desmond and Lyvyne as always, proved to be an effective hunting duo, though she has held back a little bit so it does not end up where the Avalon steals away every kill from her friend as before, allowing him to feel victorious in the hunt as well. Lucia proved to be quite an effective hunter on her own. The short sights of her Kerboa always appeared in these times, becoming her tracker and spotter. It was not just fauna she provided, but herbal plants and berries that are resilient against the cold weather. She treats gathering more as a survival habit than a mere job... Becoming quite serious about it.
In the present time, they arrived to what looked like a village larger than any they passed through so far. Desmond asks her and Dorian if they are familiar with this place. She notices once again, he left the Witch out of the question which he has been doing quite a bit.. Of course it might be that living an isolated life means rarely any knowledge of outside settlement, but the Avalon suspects it's a deeper, more bitter reason. Lucia seems completely unfazed by being left out as always so perhaps she does not care and is content with following their lead? To Desmond's question, Lyvyne simply shakes her head in decline.

Desmond stood in awe of the giant town, and it was giant by his standards. His village had been comprised of a few small huts with barely fifty people occupying it. But this! This place was a true town! It had a large wooden palisade surrounding it's large homes and shops. There had to be hundreds, maybe even a thousand people here. It was clear to see that the town was built around a large manor house atop a hill overlooking the river. The naive backwoods upbringing of his was certainly showing through with his reaction to the town. They had seen other towns, larger ones at that on the way here but even so Desmond is constantly surprised by how large they are. He looked at Lyvyne with surprise that she did not know. "Really? With wings like yours I don't know how you could keep yourself from exploring all of England. I don't think I could resist that kind of adventure." He said with excitement as they walked closer to the town. "You know, you never really told me what it's like where you come from, Ly. Is it a big city like this?" He asked curiously as the image of a large woman riding atop the strangest looking horse he'd ever seen came into view. This woman was flanked by two others whom he could not see very well. All of them looked quite strange. They were enormous even in comparison to their mounts, they had to be seven to eight feet tall. And the woman's skin was of a light bluish shade. Desmond rubbed his eyes in confusion as the figures continued to trot towards them. "What on Earth? Ly, what are those?" Desmond asked feeling overwhelmed by all of this strangeness. Lyvyne would know that these are Ankari.

The trip had been a long one for sure. Dorian had spent their time on the road helping with navigation and hunting. The maps he had brought along were a large help when the travelling group met fork in the path. The Kveldulf they travelled with had disappeared early into it, with no sign or tra e of where they had left. It took some convincing to get Lyvyne to go and stop waiting for them by the three, but they managed. Lucia and Desmond acted as expected, preferring not to talk to each other. Lucia wasn't very talkative to the trip, which was understandable. Dorian had talked to her time time during the course of the trip, with varying results. He also conversed with Lyvyne and Desmond as well. He had tried to have conversations with Lyvyne, although his manner of speaking were sometimes too fast-paced for the learning Avalon. During the nights where it was too late to move further but too early to sleep, Dorian told some stories of the places he's seen on his jobs and travels, mentioning the peoples and funny times he had during them. Desmond's demeanor had also changed for the better. He became more cheerful and talkative throughout the three days on the road.
On the third day they see a larger city on the horizon, Desmond asking Dorian and Lyvyne about it. Dorian nodded, pulling out the map he had kept in his bag. "Yeah, if I'm reading this map correctly, we should be heading straight into Stockton," looking up from the map to look at the city. He had seen quite the number of cities in his travels, and Stockton was on the larger side of the spectrum. "I've heard people mention it before when I had rested in some towns. It's a trading city," Dorian spoke, mimicking Desmond's whistle at the sight of it. It was clear Desmond hadn't seen cities of this scale before. He listened to Desmond's numerous questions about Lyvyne's village. Even Dorian was curious about it. Dorian peered at what Desmond was asking about as he changed the topic. It was an Ankari, judging from its mount, complexion, and height. As for the mount, he can't say he had seen it before. Perhaps he had and he couldn't recall. Lyvyne most likely knows more about it, so he didn't speak his thoughts.
