History: Amelia joined the Darmantine Army when she was a young girl and was given a harder time than most because she is a woman, but this only granted her far more respect when she excelled in combat and well known for her fast movements which resemble more of a dance of death than the movements of a warrior. She quickly rose through the ranks to Captain and collected herself a number of injuries and scars, which only strengthened her soul. Her magic began to conjure with her movements in the form of fire, gathering strength from her undying passion and refusal to die in battle, like a flame that will not fade away. One unfortunate battle, she suffered a severe injury across her stomach that almost killed her but her sheer will allowed her to finish her opponent and survive long enough to be given medical attention. Her injury left her unable to carry on in the army and was honourably discharged. During her time, she never really built herself a home nor a family and didn't have anything to go back to. The Queen of Darmantine was a kind ruler, and gave Amelia a room of her own within the castle in return for all her services and protection of the people of the kingdom. Unused to this sort of kindness, Amelia felt in debt to her King and Queen. During her recovery, she meditated in the form of practicing with her sabre as much as her injury allowed her. The Queen visited her often, the conversation was mostly one sided since Amelia was a woman of few words but regardless of that, they formed a close bond like family, both enjoying each other's company. The day she fully recovered was where they had one of their many conversations and Amelia's soul had grown in great strength from the near fatal wound and constant medidation, but it was also the day an Assassin has moved their way into the castle unnoticed and attempted to take the Queen's life. Amelia reacted faster than the Assassin could think and ended their life quickly. This single moment of protection granted Amelia the duty of the Royal Protector by the King of Darmantine for saving his beloved's life. Distinguishing features: a depiction of Lomalum standing together in a shield wall against a horde of Corpa is tattooed onto his back. Other depictions such as Calthok dragging his commander off of the field to the safety of healers is also shown. The oldest image is smaller and less detailed but nonetheless meticulously maintained. This is an image of three Lomalum crossing their weapons. Beneath is the simple inscription, "Brothers."
Dress:typically when not on patrol he wears hemp trousers and little else. He does this both so that those who see him know him. Also because he likes the sunlight. On occasion however he has been known to wear the soft silks of the human lands. Softness is a novelty that has always been something he'd been curious about. When on duty however, very little of himself can be seen beyond the beady black marbles of his eyes. He wears traditional lomalum full plate.

History: Born into House Urool, a house of smiths and warriors of some import, Calthok is the oldest son of the house. Due to his birth he is intended to take over as head of the family upon his father's death. His twin brother Koa, born only minutes later is intended to manage the houses affairs abroad. Until such time however the two brothers trained to become the same warrior as their father. This led them to join the border legion in their early forties. Here they saw true combat for the first time. It was spring when the Corpa came across in one of their raiding parties for the feast season. The carnage that they witnessed that day was nothing short of horrific. Both likely would have perished had they not been part of the first cohort led by Primus Pilus, Yzan. It was on that day ,when the battle had been won, that they made a blood oath to protect one another.
This oath was tested years later when another raid much stronger than before, attacked the border village of Snam. There they held the line for three days until the Corpa had grown tired of bloodying their face on the Lomalum line. During the battle though, Yzan was gravely wounded by a Corpan berserker. While he did not perish, thanks to Calthok, he was maimed too heavily to continue leading the first cohort. He nominated Calthok in his stead. The promotion was given without much deliberation. Yzan was forced to return to Duruma after that.
Fast forward to now and he brothers still are in the borderlands. That is until a curious note reaches them from home commanding for Calthok and Koa to return home immediately.
Personality: Generally a kind if serious man. He uses his strength to protect those who cannot to defend themselves. He remains respectful and understanding to the other species of the world. He's particularly fond of humans and their customs. He is brave but not reckless. He will not sacrifice himself and his friends if another way to get through a situation. He is slow to anger unless he be in the presence of a Corpa. When fighting against the vile creatures to the north he does so with a ferocity that is extremely uncommon among Lomalum. He sees the Corpa as a plague that will consume the world unless they are stopped.
