They have a physical body as well as a connection to the ship. Think of the androids from Aliens. They are also connected to your Runefang and can exist solely there if their body I'd destroyed.

Oh, I'm imagining; I'm thinking of EDI from ME when she can come along on missions through her body, but also operate and maintain the ship at the same time.
And for the Runefangs, I'm just imagining a gigantic Iron Man suit with my characters voice speaking up inside like J.A.R.V.I.S does.
That reminds me; what are the capabilities for the Runefangs; are they just advanced mechs for humanoid creatures, or do they have any cool features? Like flight, for example?
If you haven't noticed, I'm kind of gunning for being able to play J.A.R.V.I.S in the Iron Suit.

On a basic level, yes they are advanced mechs for humanoid beings. However, if you want to add extra bits to it. You can in the Mech Design.

Hmm; I'll look into that. Thanks for the clarification; I'll post my character when I get home in about half an hour or so.

One more thing; do we get to name our ships and mechs? And if so, are there any specific ways in which you envision them being named?

I'm also wondering about social attitudes to the A.I.'s in game as well, but I can kind of take liberties with that if you don't have anything.

You do get to name you Mech and the ship transporting it. You may name it whatever you like, though basing it around your country of origin may be a unique spin.
