Starcraft: Retaliation Missles streaked the sky, lighting it up as if it was some holiday. This wasn't a holiday, though. Cries pierced the destroyed land, and screams could be heard half a planet away. This was what war sounded like. The sides in this war? The Zerg, and the Terrans. Zerglings raced past the bullets, aiming straight for the shooter. The Terrans threw everything they had: All their soldiers, mecs, and jets they could build. The planet, Char, was rich with minerals and vespene gas, perfect for production, despite its hellish appearence. Off in the horizon, a Zerg stood, viewing the battle. Of course, Zerg is a broad term, as they came in many forms and variations. This one was a queen. This was Zindric, leader of her brood. Her brood ruled this section of the planet, and yet the Terrans dared to take her minerals? They tried to take her vespene gas? Her land? HER planet!?! The queen stabbed her leg to the ground, yelling her message across the battlefield. It penetrated the minds of her brood, and her enemies. Her psionic message was heard: Char is mine. "There's too many! We can't- Ahhh!!!" Mission command, back in the orbiting space station, could only hear in silence, as their troops back on Char screamed as they heard the message. The men at the desks manning the panels sighed, sensing that this battle had been lost, and bowed their heads in respect as the line died between the station and Char. The General, furious at this, banged his fist on the desk and yelled, "Send in the troops! All of them! We will not lose against these... cockroaches!" The whole room was in silence, afraid that a single would set off the angry General. After a few moments, nothing happened. Then, the world seemed to turn to normal as the General began to stand from his slouched position, and put his hands behind his back. Everyone turned back to their panels, making their best effort to repair the communications. Meanwhile, a message played into every speaker on the ship, saying the same message over and over. "Attention. Attention: All soldiers report to the docking bay. I reapeat, all soldiers to the docking bay for dropships. You will be briefed there. Attention..."

Toni is already on the move as the first few words are spoken through the speakers. She is already decked in her pilot suit and adjusting her clear blue visor over her eyes. As she does, a heads up display starts to fill the corners of her view. It shows her lifeline, condition and a small mini map. As soon as she is in her mech, it will then display it's integrity and ammunition supplies. It was about time she was called in, she wanted to be there on the first line and hold the ground but they kept her back. Her custom Goliath is designed as a Striker and support mech, not a defensive one she resigned in waiting. But now that the Zerg are gaining the advantage, they're pushing all troopers out.
She reaches the docking bay and spots her beauty. Her custom Goliath, named 'Firebug' stands tall and proud as it is winched onto the dropship, ready to be deployed within a moment's notice and hit the Zerg back with their retaliation. She has been paired with Team Zeta, one of the Strike Forces tasked with clearing out the areas and allowing the zones to be reclaimed. The firepower in the firebug as well as it's anti-personnel weaponry, it is the perfect tool for the job.
The cockpit opens up as she approaches, revealing her armoured cradle inside. She climbs in and buckles up. She gives her Goliath a few tests, moving her limbs in sync with her mech's, perfectly coordinated with one another as if they are one mind in two bodies. One flesh, one machine. "Automotive Systems all green. Weapon checks... Complete. HUD systems... Online. Welcome aboard, Corporal Powell." a computerised voice speaks to Toni as she adjusts herself. "Good to be here." She says with a knowing smirk, finally getting to see combat. "Keep the cockpit open for the briefing. Run a second systems check for double assurance." She instructs the voice of the machine, it responds with confirmation.
Now she waits. Her trigger fingers are already itching. These bugs think they can just take down her people without consequences? They got another thing coming. The only reason they have got this for is because Terran are yet to unleash their full force, which is about to happen...

The General made his way down the stairs, on his way to go to the docking bay to address the mission, and to inspire them. The doors slid open, and he was met with the sight of hundreds of soldiers. He briskly walked to the center of the room, acting as if his outrage minutes before had never happened. He made sure his speaker was on before he spoke, so his voice could be heard to everyone. For a moment he just admired his troops. He saw the towering Thors, the threatening Goliaths and the determination of his on foot troops. He spoke, "Today, is the day. It is the day where we defeat the Zerg brood on Char, and take back our planet! They are just bugs, only living to serve. They have no loyalty, no honor! We, however, have determination! Cut off the head," The General smirked," and the body will die. Clear the area, and find the leader of this... brood. The map is on your radar now." Immediately, all the soldiers radars lit up, showing the geography of the battlefield, and each other's positions in blue. In red were the Zerg. The General waited for everyone to be done aqquanting themselves with the map. Finally, he spoke. His voice echoed around the entire room. They knew what he would say. Then, he said it. "Go!"

"Close cockpit and intiate manual controls!" Toni orders her Goliath once the Commander gives the signal. Within a few seconds, she is incased inside an egg of steel and nanofiber. The rest of the squad pile into the airship. Toni feels the mech shake as it is hoisted into the air.
As they make their way, she checks the map on her HUD. They are moving towards Outpost B, looking reclaim the power generators there and bring their defences back online. The numbers of Zerg within that area are high levels, nothing the Firebug can't take care of. As if reading her mind, the squad leader radios. "Firebug. We are dropping you down first, cleanse the area of nearby Zerg to allow the airship to land safely."
She smirks at these orders. "Don't you worry. There won't be any left." She responds. When the outpost comes into view, larva and zerglings are swarming the place, trying to bring the remaining buildings crumbling to the ground. This boils her blood and fuels her determination to avenge the soldiers that died protecting the outpost, she primes the flamethrowers and autocannons. It feels like an eternity until she hears her leader's words.
"Dropping Firebug now!"
The airship releases the winch and the mech drops into the ground, mechanical legs absorbing the shock and scattering zergs around. "Turning up the heat." Toni says through her radio with a grin. The flamethrowers ignite, spraying fiery mayhem in every direction of the swarm. Flames spin and dance on their bodies as they screech in agony, it doesn't take long for them to fall but it certainly was a painful end to them. As the flamethrowers spray, the autocannons spin up and explode with gunfire, tearing the Zerg climbing on the buildings to bits and pieces of legs, abdomen and carapace. It takes only three minutes to clear out most of the area.
"You're clear. Land now!"
The airship does not need be ordered twice. It lands directly behind the Firebug, which is still firing it's cannons, and soldiers armed to the teeth begin joining Toni's side with wiping this are clean of bugs. They push toward throughout the Base, destroying insects as they move.
