"We'll continue our discussion another time. Now I must tame the Qunari again..." She mumbles to Lauren as she gets up and sets the book on the floor. She walks over to Yonet.
"Since lecturing lessons seem to have a habit of evading you, we're doing this in practical Sense." Iris says, looking up to the towering woman. "You still remember the first steps of preparing dispelling magic yes? And the how to cast such a spell?" She asks. If she does, perhaps what is about to happen next will get her to focus.

"Sort of..." Yon says honestly she hadn't really been paying attention last time they'd done this and as it turned out alcohol did not aid memory.

"Perhaps this will jog your memory." Iris says stoicly before she something Yonet definitely wouldn't be expecting. She deactivates her security barrier raises both hands towards the Qunari, conjuring a spell of constriction onto Yonet. Light blue wisps of spirit magic materialise around Yonet and wrap tightly around her, snaking around her limbs and neck which successfully restrain her. The spell won't kill her nor sap her energy, but it can be extremely painful and will cause the strongest warriors to pass out from the agony, so she hopes Yonet will break out soon. Yonet is strong and resilient, but Iris' magic far exceeds hers and is confident she can hold down the large woman.
"First thing that is needed to focus a dispel?" Iris asks in a neutral tone as she focuses effortlessly at holding the spell.

After finishing her prayer Clara stands and dusts the grass off of her britches. She glances over and sees how the dispel training is going. Since she had nothing better to do she stepped over after putting her weapon belt back on. She marched over and crossed her arms as she watched. She didn't offer her thoughts, instead just wanted to watch.

Yonet struggles against the sudden bindings. "Now, now Iris I like to be tied up as much as the next girl but isn't this a bit much for your first time." Yonet teased but there was an edge of panic in her voice. She really didn't like being vulnerable like this. She strains against the magic bringing the entirety of her massive strength to bear but the bindings just seem to tighten causing her to let out a low-growl of pain and frustration. "Right now I'm focusing on knocking a bitch the fuck out."

"Focus your energy on a single point." Clara said, her eyes intensely following Yon's movements. "Stop thrashing. Focus on a single point. Imagine you're trying to press through thick armour. Bring everything you have to bear on that point. She has to maintain all of the tendrils around you, if you can break one point in the chain you'll be free."

"Focus Yonet." Iris growls back, irritated that her mind is not where it should be right now, the bindings bring the large woman to her knees. "Focus all of your will. You need to find where my spell is being harnessed, I've made it easy for you this time." normally Iris harnesses every spell inside her fortified mind thanks to her natural talent in telekinesis, but she is using her hands this time around.
"Yonet, you have only a minute or two before the pain overcomes your body and you pass out. Act quickly." She says sharply.

Yon tried to follow Clara's advice focusing her energy on a point on her forehead to try and break the spell but the bindings and her rage stopped her from focusing. No one trapped her like this! Her magic started to roil within her lashing out randomly causing burst of light where they met Iris's spell. Her growl turned to a roar all of a sudden she was back in Seheron in the jungle surrounded by mud and figures locked in combat the first time she'd used her magic turning a fog-warrior into a screaming charred figure. The others in the group had bound and gagged her for three days to make sure she wasn't a threat before they'd met a Tal-Vashoth mage from another group who'd agreed to train her. She pushed against the bindings even harder actually managing to stretch them till she thought they might break before they snapped back even stronger turning her roar into something more like a scream.

Iris increases the pressure when she sees Yonet start to forcefully move them, using more power to contrict. "No. Brute strength won't break you out of this." She scowling her, ignoring the screams and roars from her companion, this is a hard lesson she must endure. "Your rage is a barrier preventing your focus. Abandon it and use your mind over your brutish strength. Where I'm harnessing my spell will reveal itself as a glow once you are focused, then use your own mana to cut through the connection from the source and the binds."

Clara watched her nearly break out of the bindings before she was launched back into place. That inner rage, she had seen it many times just before a mage went mad. She cut her gaze to Iris all she said was, "Stop." She kept her tone even as she looked at the mage.

"Why? She can't do this." Iris says without looking at Clara, gaze fixed on Yonet. "That's the problem with Qunari, mindless brutes that can focus on nothing other than violence! You were overpowered by a Genlock mage! Easily dispelled! Pathetic!" The words are harsh, venomous but not without purpose. Taunting Yonet always makes her stubborn to accomplish whatever you doubt she could, the criticisms will yield the same results.

"Iris, stop, please ! It will end badly and you know it." It was Lauren's turn to intervern. The woman get up and approach Irs slowly. If she didn't dispell the spell she will have to, by any mean if she have to. The way Yonet was acting, she was mad, really mad and either she will harm herself by trying to dispell her bindings or she will get free and get her revenge and both options are not that good at all.

FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCKING BOOK-WORM AND HER FANCY FUCKING CIRCLE LEARNING! Yonet gritted her teeth against the pain focusing on the point closest to Iris's hands letting the magic flow through her in a surging tidal wave. The spell resisted for a second then shattered dropping Yonet to her knees but she didn't stay there for long. In one furious stride she had Iris by the front of her robe and lifted her up so they were face-to-face Yonet growling so fiercely that spittle flew onto Iris's face. Then she started to laugh. "Book-worm you bitch! You're almost fucking Tal-Vashoth! We know pain is the best teacher!" Laughing she hugged Iris her feet still a couple of feet off the ground and murmured in her ear. "But pull that shit again and I'll shove your staff so far up your ass even the boss's cock won't find it." She put her down still smiling.

Yonet feels a burst of wind brush the back of her head. Clara stood behind her, the point of her warhammer barely an inch from Yon's head. She had stopped when she realized that Yon wasn't about try and kill them all. Without a word she steps back and puts the hammer back in her belt. There is a coldness to her eyes that none of the party had seen before. Seeing that the training seemed to be at an end she excused herself and started walking back to where she left her armour.

The connection to her constriction is broken, it's flow of energy disrupted and the binds simply disappear out of existence. For a moment there, Iris thought it would have been hopeless, she is glad that she was wrong.
"There. Now that wasn't--" Iris begins, but is interrupted when she is initially taken off guard by Yonet manhandling her, lifting Iris off the floor effortlessly. Not that difficult with such a young and small mage. She doesn't show it in her expression, but she is very intimidated and braces herself for a strike... But then Yonet begins to laugh and pulls her into a fierce hug, praising her for the hard lesson. Iris feels more uncomfortable than she would being punched, she never enjoyed gestures of affection that involved touched. However, she allows it since she put the Qunari through hell.
Iris has a smirk on her usually blank face when Yonet smiles and delivers her threat. "Well I'm sure you won't forget so easily this time. Because next time, I won't hold back my power." She says, it almost sounds like she's teasing Yonet. She turns to Lauren and Clara, especially the latter who was about to incapitate Yonet. "You should have more trust in me. You think I would have done such a lesson if I wasn't sure my magic could stop her if she flew in a rage? That was an easy lesson with me holding back." She says sternly to the two. Without another word, she reactivates her mental security walls and walks back over to Teal, picking up her book and sitting down to read once again.

Clara stopped walking at the sound of Iris' voice. Her hands clench tightly into fists. She takes a deep breath and releases it. Every fibre of her being is screaming at her to tell Iris what she nearly did. Her fists clench so tightly that she can feel her nails cut through the palms of her hands. She took another breath and gave her head a slight shake. Her legs started to move again away from Iris, she both didn't want and wanted Iris to say something else.

"I saw that." Tristan snaps at Bherick, "You're lucky I'm afraid of your wife, or I'd cut your pay for laughing at your superior." He jokes trying to improve the mood, he leans against a tree trying to relax a bit. "Speaking of your wife, how did you know?" His phrasing is awkward, he clears his throat and tries to try again. "There's this girl...in Denerim, she works at a tavern, her name if Anna." He quickly makes up a woman, trying his best to lie to the dwarf. "At first we didn't really speak, but lately we've gotten along a bit. I think I like her, but maybe that has to do with us getting along? Most woman in my life were either servants or potential arranged marriages I got to meet once at the age of ten." He's a bit embarrassed as he shrugs at the dwarf. "I don't know what to do. No I'm not talking about that, you better not start talking like Yon, you know what I mean." He scoffs at the dwarf and continues moving awaiting an answer.

Bherick smiled beneath his beard the boy wasn't a good enough liar to trick someone who'd grown up with a con-artist. "Well can't say I'm the expert lad most of the ladies I knew in Orzammar were whores or noble-hunters, oh and a couple of silent sisters I suppose but they're not exactly open for relationships especially cause you know, no tongue. As for Mirta... look lad the bards sing a lot of crap about love-at-first-sight, undying-love and so on but it's all nonsense I met her when she was working at her father's stall and I was prepping for a job, this was before you joined us mind, anyway we got to talking and kept talking the next time and so on for a couple of months. When did I know? After about three months I saw some smarmy surface-born dwarf trying to seduce her in a tavern, wasn't working obviously, but I smashed my mug over his head and the whole place turned into a massive brawl, not that Yon seemed to mind. So I dragged Mirta out the back to try and escape then had to spend the next five-minutes getting yelled at for "unnecessary interfering" a month later I was asking her father if I could marry her." Bherick cocked his ear slightly, did he just hear a scream? Probably nothing. "My advice lad if you actually like her and don't just want to get her in bed just talk to her try and find out if she feels the same and if she doesn't then let it go like a gentleman. Now if you just want to plough her then you're better off talking to Yon although be subtle or she might do her damnedest to get there first just for the fun of it."

Yon turned away from Iris and followed Clara. Walking beside her she said. "Look I get it you're a templar I don't have the kind of dislike for your kind as Iris does, maybe cause I was never in some poncy circle, and hell if I was in your shoes I'd probably knock me the fuck out too if I thought I was losing control but I don't wanna have to be watching my back in a fight in case you decide I've gone off the deep-end so all I ask is you trust me not to get demon-possessed and if I do... well I'll consider it a pleasure to be killed by such an attractive warrior, deal?" She held out her hand. It was true she had little dislike for the templars compared to what the Qun did to mages the templars were a bunch of softies.

At the sound of Yonet's voice, Clara stopped and listened. With a visible effort she made her hands unclench, her fingertips had little rivulets of crimson dripping from them. She turned and looked the Qunari square in the eye. The bull woman had her hand extended towards her. Clara did not reach to take it. "Do you know why my order does what it does? It isn't because we're worried of every mage that can do a magic trick or burn down a house. Or that we have an irrational fear of magic. The army would be filled with them if that was the only problem. It's when they're put under too much pressure, aren't cautious, or begin meddling in things they shouldn't do, that they get dangerous." Her gaze almost seems to be looking through Yonet. The freezing look of her state stands in stark contrast to the fire that had been in them when they first met. "Those that get corrupted can lay waste to an entire regiment in moments unless a Templar is nearby. I've seen them do so myself. Each time they entered a state almost identical to the one you were in. The moment that you go into a blind rage will be the moment that malevolent forces will need to take you for themselves."
Clara's hand grasped Yon's in a vice like grip. "I don't hate you nor do I want to hurt you. But if I think you're going to snap I'll drop you. Keep yourself under some semblance of control and we won't have a problem."

"In case you haven't noticed control really isn't my thing." Said Yon not even batting an eye at the captain's grip. "It's why I don't use magic when I can avoid it and why I have Iris and the others to watch my back. Bhericks a big softie and my best mate but he'd slit my throat if he thought I was a danger to the company and if he failed Iris would turn me into a pile of ash. She wouldn't enjoy it, probably, but she would because it's what needs to be done. One day maybe I'll lose control and one of the others will kill me but I'll have lived a fun life without many regrets how many others can go to the grave saying the same?" Yon smiled. "If you makes you feel any better I'm pretty far down the scale as mage's power goes, fuck there are probably dwarves more magical then me. I don't hate you either, in fact in case you haven't noticed I quite like you, but then the people I hate normally die within a few minutes. So we still up for sparring? I won't use magic if you don't use any weird lyrium tricks."

"Thanks Bherick, I appreciate the talk." He smiles at the dwarf. "Think of this are practice for the baby, you're going to have to deal with these kind of questions sooner or later." Tristan pats him on the back. "Lets head back, Maker knows what they are up to back there. I swear I heard yelling a second ago." He chuckles as he heads back towards the camp, a few moments later and they make it back to camp. Yon was talking to Clara, Lauren and Iris were together the whole camp seemed tense. "Maker what happened? I could cut the tension here with my sword." He announces his return, he looks at Clara then at Iris. "Is this female bonding or did one of you do something stupid?" He states bluntly, trying to use himself as the lightning rode and take the brunt of the storm that was brewing.
"If I can't trust you guys to get along for a few minutes while I'm away, I'm going to let Teal be in charge, at least he has experience dealing with a bunch of bitches." He looks at Iris then Clara and Yon. "Except for Lauren, all of you have been behaving like children lately, and it kind of pisses me off since I'm the youngest here." He snaps at the group, prepared to take their verbal slings and arrows. Pointing one hand at Iris and then one hand at Clara, he looks at Lauren. "Lauren if you would, please tell me who's at fault here. I know one of them did something, involving Yon most likely. So what happened?" He lets out a fake annoyed sigh, giving himself the aura of an frustrated commander. He lowers his hands and straightens himself up, crossing his arms wrapping himself in an atmosphere of authority, for the first time in his life he feels like a leader.

Iris looks up from her book and rolls her eyes at Tristan's sudden frustration and sharp lecture. "We are not so childish that we would kill one another the moment your back is turned. Yonet failed to dispel the Genlock's life drain in the previous battle so I gave her a more practical lesson in willpower and anti-magic. It worked far more effectively than the lecture which inevitably was always ignored and Yonet was pleased with the results. So if anybody here must be punished, it would be me. Though, I don't see why I should be if it proved successful and no harm was done." She says in an exasperated, bored manner before looking back down at her reading.
It was not traditional Circle lessons she grew with, but those would just go over Yonet's head and Iris knew experience is the best form of remembering your lessons. The times she has battled in the Misfits made her learn far more about her magic than any lecture or example practice she did at the Circle and she was beginning to be fed up with Yonet's ignorance.

Well shit, Lauren never likes these moments when she have to throw a friend under the passing carriage and since Iris already admitted no point in taking the fall to herself without contradicting her, but like the shield warrior say during though times: We live together we fall together. "Iris proposed lessons about magic dispell to Yonet, she agreed and during that Yon couldn't free herself and it's made her angry but after some time she finally made it. I should have reacted sooner but I didn't moved at all, I'm at fault too in this."

"Stone remind me to keep him away from Yon once he hits puberty I don't need to be dealing with that mess!" Arriving at back at the camp Bherick senses danger in the air moving up behind the boss eyes looking from person to person.
Bherick watches the templar who had Yon's hand gripped tight and there seemed to be a challenge in how they stared at each other. "Don't suppose anybody had bacon for breakfast?" He asked his hand subtly shifting to the holdout knife he kept hidden in his belt.

Tristan face palms as Bherick blurts out his catchphrase. "Dwarf what is the point of a secret code when you use it all the time." He says with a fake annoyance in his voice. "Make sure everyone gets the rest they need, and that we actually get to eat tonight." He orders Bherick as Tristan walks towards Lauren. He grabs her left hand and sighs, "Stop being so hard on yourself, you aren't a Templar this wasn't your fight, it wasn't your fault." He smiles cheerfully while he keeps a gentle hold on her hand. "So get some rest, we'll need you in perfect shape in the coming days." He lets go of her hand and heads toward Iris his gentleness is gone as he grabs her by the collar and begins to pull her like a disobedient dog. "You and I are going for a walk come on." He commands his voice is stern but not to loud. He releases his grip and heads towards the woods.
After a bit of a walk he stops at a tree and leans himself on it. "Maker what are we going to do with you?" He ask though he was intending it to be a joke his voice doesn't carry that intent well. "Look I'm not going to pretend I know what happened, and who is in the wrong or whatever." He sighs unsure on how he can possibly handle this without any knowledge on the situation. "Just can you not agitate the Knight Captain? I'm sure your heart was in the right place, but I need your head to be too." That came out meaner than he wanted, but he stands by that statement. "Its like you're trying to make things harder for me. Look I'm doing everything I can to help you guys. Not just you mages, but all of you guys." He sighs looking away from her trying to figure out what to say next. He raises his hand with a frustrated look on his face. All these problems were piling up, on top of all the issues Iris is causing. Lowering his hand he points it at Iris accusatory. "Why can't you be more like Yon or Taethron? Yes they are mages, but they are capable of not being a...." He pauses for a moment taking back the words he was about to say. "capable of not antagonizing people." Calling her a 'complete bitch' would just make things worse, so he tones down his comments.

Iris just has a completely bewildered look on her face as Tristan speaks, as if he grew two heads. She was sure she would be yelled at, punished or submitted to a verbal beatdown once again... yet he does nothing like that? Yes, he sounds frustrated and tired of her already today, but not as angry as he was before. Safe to say, it's confusing the hell out of her.
She doesn't interrupt him and speaks when he is finished his side. "What I did was necessary. Yonet's magic is embarrassingly weak and it makes her a target for skilled mages and demons alike, you think I wanna see her become an Abomination? She is ignorant amd childish so my lectures go way over her head! I needed to be harder on her for it to get through her skull. I was using my head as well as my heart, you foolish man. It is hardly any fault of mine that the Knight Captain is paranoid, did you ever think to ask her where she almost smashed Yonet's head into red paste with her warhammer? Where she almost killed one of her own when I clearly had the aftermath under control?" that part is a small lie, but she knew Yonet would hit her in the face at the most but never use her magic.
"The real person you should be watching out for is Clara. If you cared for us mages then maybe you should have a word with her hmm? Both entitled morons, you two will understand one another." She sighs at her own words, looking apologetic for using them against Tristan but doesn't put it into words as she chooses to continue. She most offended at being asked to be more like the other two. "What? A half drunk Qunari that indulges in whores and attacking everything in sight and a idiotic elf that disappears at least three times every two hours? Please, tell me in what way are they any better?" She doesn't mean to sound harsh towards her two comrades, but it sure did. "And not antagonising? Just say it, you always do. That I'm a childish little bitch who needs to grow up." She says, speaking out Tristan's thoughts, she knew that's what he wanted to say.
She takes a breath to calm herself. She didn't yell or scream, but her tongue is sharp and looking to cut through Tristan. "I don't understand you, Tristan." She now sounds more frustrated with her own confusion. "One moment, you are screaming in my face like a disobedient Mabari, next you're being lenient and friendly to me... Why can't you make up your mind? You are a... Confusing little boy." She doesn't even realise that she inadvertently brought up his age by calling him 'little boy', she shakes her head trying to understand this.

Sitting down Indian style Taethron calms himself for the ritual's effects are ongoing right so now isn't the time to be stressed with fruitless things. Teal lays down next to Taethron the big mutt starts to snore for a bit as if he were trying to fall asleep, he ignores the war hound and continues on with mediating. He starts to think to himself the ruins and hopefully the Dalish lay in our path if we actually find the blade or if it's just a fib to chain the mages in the Misfits, either or I'm throwing that blade into the Fade. If Clara and he temple boys get the blade one could see it as a symbol of worship and if Clara said she found the blade herself it would only boost the reputation of the order. But for now I'll only think of the incoming dagger that's hurling towards the Misfits' back hopefully Clara isn't trying to betray us if so may her soul be bound to the deepest part of the fade.

"I'm sure you did what was correct, but you can't do that in front of Clara, or at least if she says stop you stop. She is a terrible Templar, the way she resorts to violence immediately, how easily she is tempted by Yon. What a cruel joke, aren't they all supposed to be just and for the people and all that shit." He sighs rubbing his temples with his hands in frustration. "I trust in your ability to help Yon. I don't think you'll do anything foolish." He lowers his hands and looks back at Iris, he looks tired trying to figure everything out.
His tiredness turns to anger, as Iris begins her assault. "How in the hell am I entitled?" His voice starts to get louder, though he tries to keep it under control. "At least those two live their lives. They go out and talk to people, they don't cry and hide in a library because of what they are." He starts his counter attack ready this time for her outburst. "Oh woe is me, born a mage so I can't have any contact with anyone, but my company, and even then I must be a complete bitch to them, even though they are all loving and accepting of me." He mocks her voice putting on a great performance he continues. "I can't act like a civilized person because that would make me tolerable! I can't be that I mustn't, it would make the lives of my allies bearable. Since I cant be happy I must go out of my way to make everyone else angry!" He laughs at Iris when he finishes his act, he feels like taking a bow but doesn't.
"YOU don't understand ME?!" He yells in shock, "You're the crazy one, we all are supportive of you, we all treat you like a family, but that isn't fucking good enough!" He steps forward a few inches from her face as he keeps yelling. "I don't know if you understand this, but I don't like yelling at you all the time! I wish I could be nice to you but every time I am YOU can't stand that! YOU push my buttons for no reason its like you want me to hate you. If that's what you want I'll give it to you!" He stops his face red, he never noticed how much smaller she was than him, it was hard for him to be angry with her she was smaller and much more fragile. He shakes those thoughts from his as he continues laying into her. "I don't know what's going on in that head of yours, but get it together. I'm sick and tired of you, your constant blaming everything else for your problems. How its never your fault, how if it wasn't because you were a mage you'd have a good life! Here's some truth for you." His voice gets low it is steady and unwavering. "No matter what you are, you will never be anything, you'd still be miserable if you weren't a mage, because you are a terrible person. People would barely tolerate you, now stop making everything worse for the only people that haven't thrown you out yet." His voice is cold, and dead he towers over her with a look of hatred behind his eyes.

And it happens again. The same Fear she felt the last time he began screaming in her face. She unconsciously takes a step back when he advances her, continuing to rant. Her instincts once again tell her to defend herself, and this time she listens. She refuses to be berated a second time and forced into a quivering mess. She is not backing down.
She shoves Tristan. Hard. Pushing him back a little away from her, an invisible force pushes him at the same time her hands do, giving her the strength to accomplish this on the larger person compared to her. Her magic is acting on instinct. "YOU want to know what's going on in my head so fucking badly!? You want to know why I'm crazy, why I'm such a terrible person?" She matches her own volume to his, shoving him again. "I may not show it, but I don't blame ANY of you for what happens to me or why my life is how it is! I care about the wellbeing of all of you! Why did you think I saved your life? Healed you!? Why do you think I put Yonet through that lesson!? For fun!?" Another shove, her screaming turns into vicious sarcasm. "You think I blame everybody, but I think that you believe everybody should owe you! With the money you spent, that you are leading us, that you think you're our fucking lifeline! I never meant it at first and I regretted saying it, but now I do not. You ARE entitled!"
She shoves him one last time. "Okay, so you wanna know me? You wanna know what goes on in my head? FINE." She grabs sides of Tristan's head with both hands, no gentleness in her grip at all as her fingertips dig into the soft spots of his temples through frustration. She conjures a one sided telepathic mind read, allowing him to see into her mind. Only she is forceful with what she shows him. It's glimpses of her past through her eyes. How she used to be a shy, but very talented mage. One that could become First Enchanter one day. She makes her Tristan feel everything she does, the warmth in her heart and the softness in her words. It flashes forward to a Templar, one named Eric. The words he uses against her with witnesses are subtle but humiliating to Iris, and they only turn even more vicious when they're alone. It flashes through many things such as the beatings, the accusations when she did nothing wrong, the cruel taunts that she will become an Abomination. The spell fools Tristan's senses that he can feel each hit Eric inflicted upon Iris as his own, each word mentally breaking him down. The warmth in his heart starts to die, becoming a cold and empty husk. A feeling of hopelessness and belief that Iris is exactly what Eric says she is, a belief Tristan feels as his own now. A feeling that death would be a sweet mercy.
The spell is only a few seconds, but it feels like hours and Iris finally let's go, reaching the limit she wishes to show. She looks drained of life and exhausted, she experienced everything that Tristan did, only to her, it was a second experience. Her hands tremble and her breathing is ragged. Tears stain her cheeks, but her face is stoic and emotionless. "Now you know why I'm a terrible person, why I don't deserve the support you give me. I hope it was everything you wished for." Her voice is angry, but she doesn't shout anymore, she lacks the energy to. She picks up her staff she dropped when she began shoving and starts walking back towards camp, having to suppress the terrible memories once more.
