Alice grinned as the glowy girl touched her hand. She talked funny like Mrs Bumble, before she dissapeared. The glowy girl asked if she didn't like the cold which made Alice giggle. "No silly I love the cold it's when you get pink snow! I shouldn't touch people's skin cause I might use my power and then they start seeing my friends but sometimes they see too much and then bad things happen." Alice's face falls as she remembers her brother trying to strangle her and her mother lying in a hospital bed with strange tubes in her body. Harvey whispers in her ear. "Except me of course I remember how you touch me..." That makes her smile a bit. When she looks up the glowy girl has dissapeared. "No! No! Smiley saw you, you must be real!" Alice suddenly feels very afraid; what if she's dreaming again! What if none of this is real! She needs Smiley! She rushes away from the group but stops as she spots a strange man in a chair talking to himself and wonderful music starts playing. She wonders over and watches him as his hand seems to move in time to the rhythm. "Do you have invisible friends too?" Alice asks her panic forgotten replaced by interest this fascinating new person to talk to.

Quinn enters the room carefully not making any sudden movements and places a calming hand on Alex's shoulder. He'd seen this before shame turned to anger because it hurt less. He can't stop himself from feeling a guilty twinge at the thought that in this case some of the anger might be justified in a way he had abandoned Alex but Alice had been even worse off as everyone close to her slowly went insane, he'd hoped Alex would find another therapist and continue his progress but clearly that hadn't been the case. "I am sorry Alex I never meant to leave you without help but Alice... Alice has some quite severe problems of her own and bringing her back to even some semblance of reality took several years of hard work. You know I don't judge, ever. If you need someone to talk to or support away from the cameras I'll be sticking around to keep an eye on Alice but she seems to be doing okay so I'm here for you if you need it." Quinn doesn't openly accuse Alex of anything just gently reminding him that he is a friend. "As for painting Alice's wall I think you'll have your work cut out for you trying to keep up with her imagination she sees things that would put Dali or Magritte to shame every day."

Darrius was lost in thought as he played. He thought of his adoptive mother and what she was up to right now. Little Erika probably was starting to begin her training. Erika was another refugee that Francesca had taken in. Erika came from Poland which was suffering under immense economic strife. From what he had heard, Francesca had found her trapped among a decrepit building in Warsaw lighting a small fire with her hands. The girl had no family to speak of which meant no one was going to provide for her. That was how Darrius' new family grew by one more member. She was shy at first but after a few months she started talking to him more and more. She would be twelve in a month. He'll have to find something for her while he was here. Ielele spoke up, "Perhaps you should send her one of those American movies she likes so much? It takes months before they get to Eruope." Frumos shook his head, "Come now, you know he should send a box of candy. You know how much of a sweet tooth she has." The two spiritual beings glared at each other while Darrius chuckled at their antics. He'll settle for getting her both but he wants to keep her name out of the show. He doesn't want her to get harassed by the people he's about to speak with.
As he was in this train of thought he heard a voice of a girl before him. He hadn't noticed her approach despite his echolocation. It's what happens when he lets himself get lost in thought. His music stutters for a moment before he resumes his tune. He smiles politely to the woman. Her question was rather interesting as it meant she did have invisible friends. He thought for a moment thinking how to respond to her question. "Oh do you mean my music? No, I don't have an invisible orchestra following me about. It is part of my power. Ah, but where are my manners? My name is Darrius Andramache. Did you like the song? I take requests."

Alex places his hand on Quinn's wrist he can't bare to look him in the eye. "I'm sorry today has been stressful." He offers an apology, I don't know if they are going to let you stay here, if not I'll look after her. She's basically the little sister I never wanted." He smiles as his Me chip starts blinking. He watches the interview in silence, and then lets out a small smile. "Oh never changes you two." He says with a sigh, though he keeps rewinding the part of Highlight dancing, his mood saddens. "Tell me everything you can about Alice. If I'm going to be a good big brother I need to know what to look out for." A moment later his Mechip perks up again. "Hey dude, its the boss he sounds pissed." Jenny says looking bored while popping a her chewing gum. "He's not my boss, he's my agent." Alex sighs out loud, "One moment Quinn I got to take this call."
A moment later an angry voice begins to shout at Alex. "Alex you were in there for five damned minutes and you already got caught using. What the hell were you thinking?!" It was his manager Marcus Kohen a short balding man in his forties that could stand to lose a few pounds, before the stress of this job goes to his heart. "Do you know how much I had to spend to bribe the editors to 'lose' that footage?!"
"First of all its MY MONEY you are spending. Second how did you know about that?" He is worried how was he caught so easily, they must have hidden cameras they seemed to have forgotten to mention. Opening his sketch book he turns to Marissa, a Victorian era ghost holding her severed head. "Marissa if you could find all the cameras in my room." She smiles at the request as she pulls herself out of the book, her 'body' is a pale blue as she floats effortlessly through the air. "Thanks Marcus won't happen again. Also can we sue? We should sue." Alex adds while waiting on Marissa.
"I'm way ahead of you kid don't worry. Just stay safe out there." With that the call is ended and Alex turns to face Quinn. Marissa floats back over and smiles as she puts her head on back where its supposed to go.
"I found eight in your room and three in the bathroom. I'd take care of them for you, but you know. Being a ghost has its limitations." She speaks in a soft sweet tone, Alex smiles back.
"Go to Alice's room find any in hers. I'll have screech take care of hers as well." With that the ghost nods and flies through the halls in search of Alice's room. "Bastards trying to break the rules, I hate when people invade my privacy oh well." He says out loud to no one in particular. "Come on out Screech we need to break a few things." A small bird the size of dime hovers in front of him. The bird is made of copper its beak resembles a drill made of iron, as he sings in a robotic tone. "Take out all the cameras please. Quinn lets keep this between us right now, it may be useful for us if the others don't know about these little hidden toys." A small drill can be heard as Screech gets to work. While Smash, and Crash melt away and return to their page in the book. "Ok I have about two hours I can get started on the Phoenix, at least before the interviews. I meant it if she wants her room painted I like a challenge."

Sven simply stands in the corridor watching the TV broadcast without reacting. He cares little for the media but watching these broadcasts allows him to gather additional information on the others. Intel pops up from his wrist appearing as a woman in military uniform. "I have recorded this broadcast for further analysis later." She reports with a salute he nods and ignores the rest of the participants to go and recon his room. So far he's most worried about Livewire but he must remember even the seemingly innocent Wonderland or Matrix have the potential to develop BMS and if they do their powers make them far too dangerous to be roaming free this is why he is taking part to remove any infini-powered threats before they become a serious problem. Sven examines his room it is too decorative and furnished for his tastes he prefers his spartan bunker back in Sweden but it will do for now. There where almost certainly hidden cameras but he doesn't care, let them think they know what he is doing if he ever needs to move against them they will never see it coming. Only HE can protect the world from BMS and those who get in his way will pay the price.

Dylan was about to walk off before Darla spoke in his mind. "Hey darlin', you might wanna check out this news review. You seem to be getting fans! Don'the let it get to ya, though!" Dylan chuckled, always a fan of Darla's antics. A video began to play in front of him, thanks to his MeChip. Apparently you can get fans just by doing nothing, Dylan thought to himself as they mentioned his gaining of fans. However he couldn't help but feel his cheeks turn red as they noted Highlight checking him out. It probably was just some exaggerating of minor details, but he couldn't help but blush. Darla, ever the teaser, said in a teasing voice, "Awwww! I totally ship you guys! Hashtag Orbit-light for life!" Dylan simply spoke in his mind to the Mechip, saying, "Shut up! If you want to tease, fine, but at least come up with a better ship name than Orbit-light!" Darla didn't respond, instead choosing to appear as a sassy woman with a hmm hmm face. Wanting to get some food, Dylan heads off to the kitchen. There he finds a girl, Matrix he believed. He remembered the broadcast, in which she was called socially retarded. Harsh. Dylan decided to see for himself how she is. Especially if he's being watched right now, he wants to show his fans that he isn't one of those guys who judge before even meeting a person. He looked at his stats as he headed inside the kitchen: 84 Fame. Dylan smiled as he opened the fridge and reached for a sandwich. When he took out the bread and cheese, he spoke up, and said to Matrix, "What do you think of those interviews later? Personally, I'm a tad nervous. I've never been on a reality TV show before, but I've watched enought to know to be careful what you say." He said all this with a friendly smile on his face, as he created a sandwich to eat.

Sharna brings her dancing to a halt when Antonio is heard in her head. "Hey sweet'ums. Guess who's talking about youuuuu!" He says playfully and brings up the broadcast. She stops her dancing and the music fades away as the host's voices replace it. She hits the camera privacy switch, causing the camera's lenses to shut down and fly out through the open doorway.
She frowns when they talk about her and Alex possibly getting together. She opens a separate hologram of a social media page. A lot of people are wishing for this to happen, already trying to think up a ship name... She sighs, she doesn't want to go there. She only sees Alex as a friend, a relationship wouldn't go anywhere, it was a silly crush... And what if he gave her Jeremy as a gift? A subtle gesture of his feelings for her? In any case, she needs to return him soon.
She shuts down the broadcast before it finishes, hearing enough. She quickly checks her legend rating, which has boosted by five from this relationship speculation, at least there's some positivity from this. There was also the mention of her looking at Orbit. That's gonna make talking to him awkward... "Hey Jeremy? I'm gonna go talk to the other heroes, I think the room is looking gorgeous now." She smirks at him. "And what you have asked.. I'll be there for Alex, he needs a friend in here, and I'll give him that." Maybe he's right and should leave the media out of this, she shouldn't exploit him like she did in the past. She shakes the thoughts away before speeding out of the room. She halts her speed abruptly when she almost crashes into Matrix, she really shouldn't speed in here, too cramped...
"Ah.. Heh, sorry about that." She says with a sheepish smile, goggles over her eyes but her lower mask is absent. "Sometimes I forget my own speed you know?" She walks to one of the kitchen sides, grabs an apple from a bowl and leans on the edge, looking at the two. "So anyway, sorry I zipped off earlier. I like to always be moving around... Anyway..." She points at Matrix and then Orbit. "Matrix aaaaand... Orbit right? I'm not good with names..." She laughs a little nervously. Why on earth is she nervous? She's dealt with more difficult social situations than this.

"You have to talk to your power?" Wonderland giggled "That's weird." Harvey was grinning his Cheshire grin from behind the man called Darrius. "I think someones telling porky-pies... Get him to play that song your mum used to have on the radio!" Wonderland's face lit up even more. "Can you do Bohemian Rhapsody? My mum used to like it a lot and Harvey wants to hear it again." She smiles at him hoping he'll say yes.
-
Quinn smiles gently. "It's ok Alex I understand." He sits down beside him. "I won't be allowed to stay here but I'm allowed to pop in every day to check up on her. I'd really appreciate you looking out for her." He sighs. "Where to begin... Alice's power revolves around altering brain function through electric signals unfortunately when she was younger she couldn't control it and no one even knew she had powers so she started to sink into a world of fantasy as it affected her own mind and the minds of everyone she touched. Please don't tell anyone but essentially all of her friends and family are now in psychiatric wards. She wears those gloves so that she won't accidentally use her powers on people and she also dislikes being touched without being asked for permission first. She's more in control now and as long as she takes one pill in the morning and one in the afternoon she can mostly distinguish between reality and fantasy. The exception is Harvey he's... essentially her imaginary boyfriend or something no matter what we try she's convinced he's real so we've more or less given up on convincing her otherwise he doesn't seem to do much harm. She's spent most of her life in a hospital so don't be surprised if she has trouble dealing with situations you'd consider mundane on the flip side some of the traumatising things she's seen in her own head have basically eliminated her sense of fear about things like monsters so she won't be a hindrance if it comes to combat. So to recap she has to take her pills, don't touch her without asking and don't be shocked if she starts talking to thin air." Quinn pats Alex on the back. "Thank you for doing this Alex it means a lot to me. Now shall we o introduce you?"

Rounding a corner on her left, she briefly recalled her way to the nearest kitchen once more before she headed off down the corridor; she was nearly there, but it was exhausting having to walk everywhere. But it wasn't completely awful, she mused as she looked down at the ground and fiddled with her jacket with her right hand, her left hand occupied with holding the phone up to her ear, patiently listening to a voice on the other side with the only genuine smile she thought herself capable of. She wasn't alone, for now.
"-hell is her problem?! I mean, 'socially retarded'?! That is...I can't believe she would...sweetie, are you sure you're okay being there?" The worried voice of her mother floated through the phone, her mere voice setting her at ease even if the distress in her voice ensured panic instinctually rose up in the bottom of her stomach. Mom always told her to be strong in difficult situations.
"I'm okay."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm okay. Come home if I'm not. Told you." She softly reminded her mother of the promise she made to her before she left, her distant voice completely at odds with what she was feeling as she stopped at a door on her left, the door slightly ajar so she could see the contents of the room. The kitchen. She was here.
"Okay, I...don't be afraid to come home, okay? No matter what they say to you, no matter what they say about contracts or anything like that, if you don't like it, don't hesitate, honey. I love you, okay?"
"Won't. I love you too." She responded disconnectedly, her heart thumping in her chest as she pushed the kitchen door open and headed inside, ending the call and slotting the phone back into her pocket as she scanned the room, her head darting around for what she wanted. Security cameras made this place look smaller as well. But the food looked less appealing. Her eyebrows furrowed together in a slight frown as she took sight of the fridge. Heading over at a somewhat brisk pace and pulling the door open, her brow furrowed even more in thought. She didn't know how to do any of this. Mom had always cooked. Maybe she should ask Mom how to make a sandwich when she gets back, she mused, before her eyes focused on a plate in the fridge and her eyes narrowed slightly as she took sight of what was on the plate. Morphing her face into her best attempt at a grin as she reached in and grabbed the plate of raw red bell pepper slices off of the shelf. Mom always made these, she recalled with a soft grin before she shut the door and headed over to the kitchen island, placed the plate onto the marble kitchen island and jumped up onto one of the stools before her disconnected grin widened as she picked up a pepper slice and bit into it, the nostalgia coming in waves as she sealed herself away in her own thoughts, as she often did, continuing to eat.
As she continued to eat, however, the noises started to buzz sometimes, interfering with her thoughts from time to time. She usually found it unworthy of her consideration, and so set it aside to focus on what she was doing and the daydreams in her head. Mom was usually there; it was them two usually doing something different every time. Usually, the same buzzing happened in her daydreams, though. Usually when somebody was trying to talk to her, it sounded the same. But as she furrowed her eyebrows slightly in confusion, she realised the connection between the two. Someone was trying to talk to her in reality as well. She often didn't catch that for a multitude of reasons, but it still sounded the same. So lost was she in her thoughts that it took several seconds for her to realise that the matter hadn't actually been attended to, and her head shot up like a meerkat, taking in the man standing across from her on the opposite side of the kitchen island. He was looking at her like she expected an answer about something; it would make sense since he was the only one in here to have made the noise. It had only been a few minutes since she was alone, she noted. Probably close to ten seconds since he'd actually asked her the question. She was almost out of peppers. But he had asked her something; something about the interviews, if she was correct. Usually the background noise found a way into her daydreams enough for her to respond accurately. Sometimes not. She hoped it was a completely different topic than what he had actually asked as she swallowed the only bell pepper slice still currently in her mouth; she'd been eating while disconnected. Again. She hoped her blank stare wasn't creeping him out as well as everyone else.
"Nobody can take you down unless you let them." She spoke up softly, her distant voice carrying further than she'd thought. It was something her mom had said to her a lot of times when she was younger. The context seemed appropriate. She hoped it was; he said he was nervous. Maybe he needed motivation. Blinking once as her mind ran, she faintly recalled researching him before she came here. She still had the knowledge of what she had found out in the bank. Mom said people bond over significant personal experiences. Perhaps she should ask him about one to set him at ease. "Have you ever crushed anybody to death with your powers?" she asked innocuously after several seconds of what her mom called awkward silence. She didn't think it was awkward, but other people did, apparently. She was going to be good at the friendship thing this time.
Before the man across from her could respond, however, the door behind her blasted open and a woman materialised on the side of the kitchen island, electric neon trails streaking past her through the door, outlining the way she came. As the new woman looked between them with a state of visible awkwardness, or what she thought looked like awkwardness. The woman's goggles still over her eyes as she seemed to make what mom called 'noncommittal small-talk', the woman picked up an apple from a bowl in the middle of the kitchen island and took a large bite, leaning on the edge of the island and looking at the both of them with a slight grin on her face as she asked for their names.
If her mom was here, she might tell her to stop looking at the woman with a blank stare, but she often said that. She often said it with reason, but sometimes 'looking at them as if you were trying to stare into their soul' felt somewhat unfair. She thought she was doing fine; she was engaging. People engage when they talk. It's what happens. Oh, but they should probably talk as well. It's been over five seconds and she still hasn't responded. Blinking once at the lady at the counter, she recalled her as well as the man. Highlight, famous hero and sidekick to Ice Queen; that wasn't hard to find. And pornographic actress, as well; that took some digging. But it wasn't anything to be ashamed of, after all; it was a job. Showed pride in her body, she imagined. And she was sure that the woman felt the same. But she still needed a way to respond; mom could always do this so easily. But it was like she drew a blank every time she tried. Blinking once more, she ran her memories to try and find an in...wait, mom would offer food as a way to 'break the ice', as she called it. Perfect; she was eating food right now. And the woman probably ate food. To survive, if not for enjoyment. Slowly, she tightened her grip on the plate of bell pepper slices and held them out towards the woman, moving her arm slowly until it was outstretched in front of her and in front of the woman, still looking at her to show her good-will.
"Pepper?" She asked softly after her arm was outstretched, making it very clear through her daydreamy, detached tone that she was offering the slices and not just showing them to her.
She was acing this. Mom would be proud of her.

As the heroes in the room began to scatter and get involved with other things, Audrey's difficult to manage excitement caused her legs to hastily move her to her assigned room. During the run across the mansion, her mind coursed with everything that she hoped her room would be. Hopefully, it'd be just as grand as everything else around her. Before she could take off, though, she saw the face of a hero who hadn't been with the rest of the group earlier. He was one of the heroes who she'd recognized from the media as well, but she hadn't really paid much attention to his career. Her fist impression of the new arrival was pretty positive compared to hers of the rest of the group. She subconsciously approved of the wellness of his dress and his general temperament at the moment. She was getting ready to turn away from him and resume her run to her room, but was stopped by the sound of music behind her. Turning around, she suddenly remembered the man's powers after seeing them performed. Somewhat mesmerized by the music for a moment, she stared at him in bewilderment. Snapping out of it and not wanting to seem like a weirdo, she prepared to say something to the man to make it appear that she hadn't just been staring for no reason. Before she could do so, the hero who she assumed was Wonderland moved in to introduce herself to him instead. To Audrey, Wonderland was one of the weirdest heroes above all of the others and felt uncomfortable by her talking to herself. She couldn't really wrap her head around delusions, herself. She listened to the girl attempt to introduce herself and decided that she should probably start talking to at least a few of the heroes in the mansion. Since she didn't intend to spend her time at the mansion lonely and that Crescendo seemed relatively cool to a lot of the others, she decided to join the conversation between the two. Leaving the path to her room, she briskly walked over to an opening between the two and looked up at the two taller people. After turning her head up at Wonderland and giving her a strange expression, she turned back over to Crescendo. After Wonderland made her song request to Crescendo, she waved her hand in a dismissive gesture. "Yeah, yeah. Hold it on that for a sec." Though she was smaller than both of them in size, she felt much larger than both of them combined. Knowing that the only was to win would be through having a few spare allies, she wanted to at least introduce herself to Crescendo before he'd get lost in playing whatever. "Well, I guess being a huge slowpoke isn't such a big deal when you have powers." She said with a sneer, though she didn't use a mocking tone in her voice. She turned back to look at both of them, intending to pretend to include Wonderland in on what she had to say. "Seems like we're either going to be working with or against each other for a while." She pretended to be lost in thought for a second. "I think we should probably try to stick together for a while. I mean, the others are probably plotting to gang up against us right now..." She said, hoping to possibly form some kind of a team. In her mind, gaining the trust of a few other heroes and making an alliance would be the best way to thrive in the competition and also genuinely make a friend or two. Of course, any new friends would have to accept losing to her in the future. She wasn't sure who she wanted to be in this team besides Crescendo, but Highlight didn't seem so bad either. She thought that maybe she could round up all of the normal and non-strange people into a team with her and ditch everyone else. Her ears picked up something interesting that had come on a television in the room and she prepared to break away from the two to watch it. She looked up at both of them once again, but quickly turned her head to focus on Crescendo. "Anyway, it's the best way to go. Just think about it." She said casually, talking to both but directing it at the man she was looking at. She'd originally planned on trying to make the rest of the heroes take pity on her because of her age, but she remembered that her fame would've led them to see through her act. That option wasn't completely out the window yet, but she decided that she'd just be herself for now even when lying.
Hearing the broadcast coming from a television in the same room, she quickly ran over to a couch that was sitting around it and plopped down into it. After realizing that it was a breakdown of all of the heroes in the game, she immediately sat forward in her seat and gave her full attention to the screen. As the heroes before her were being described, she only listened to half of what the hosts had to say. She immediately immediately enjoyed Lyndall's commentary and cared much less about that of the other host. She'd never really heard of either of the people on the screen, but she liked Lyndall's deprecating humor so far. While waiting in anticipation for her section of the broadcast, she slowly edged more and more forward in her seat. 'If I don't get a great description, there's gonna be hell to pay.' She thought to herself, this kind of thing being very important to her. As Lyndall mentioned liking her, she smiled a bit in relief. It looked like she had already made a good impression on at least one of the media people. It helped that it came from someone who she felt that she had a little bit in common with. As her commentary moved to advice, her smile lowered. "Oh, just as good as you huh?" She grumbled lowly to herself and folded her arms over her chest. "Yeah, whatever." Lyndall seemed cool, but she wasn't convinced that she was better than her in any way.
She stood up from her seat and looked around, feeling somewhat neutral about her portrayal on the promo. After looking around a bit, she saw another group talking to one another in a different room. From her position, she could make out Highlight and another hero who had been absent earlier. Based on what she saw from her description on the broadcast, though, she seemed even weirder than the other girl who she had just talked to. Still, Highlight was also there and she was next on the list to try to ally with. Deciding to brave an interaction with the creepy girl, she walked a short distance to the group. She arrived just in time to see Matrix extend a pepper to Highlight and saw that Orbit was also there in the process. Everyone in the room seemed to be acting sort of awkwardly and she found it strange that Highlight even knew how to act in an awkward manner. She thought to herself that it was probably out of fear of whatever Matrix was up to, so she crossed her arms and waited to see what would come of the interaction. If Highlight would actually befriend Matrix, she felt that allying with her would probably be a lost cause anyway. Leaning against the door of the kitchen, she stared at the group of three and waited before introducing herself.

Dylan was too stunned for words at Matrix's comment. He knew full well the strength his powers can have on people if not careful, and it's something thatkeeps him up at night. He remembered what happened when he first got his powers, which was around 14 or so. He woke up, and had noticed something was off with his room... and him. He felt a strange feeling- as if he was off on space. His body had no sense of weight. His whole room, and him, were floating. He was woken up to a shout of his name -"DYLAN!"- and had woken up to a gaping hole where his door was. Out of the hole he saw his parents screaming at him, but it seemed so... distant. For a few moments he was in a daze, and then he realized what was going on: his room was ripped off his own home, and it floated off. It took a few hours for his powers to stabilize, and then he was able to set it down. Unfortunately, during his powers awakening, gravity began to be defied around his block: cars, people, pets, even flyers. They all began to be held in place by gravity. Some... some people's homes were partially destroyed.
Dylan had a sadness in his eyes not many have seen him wear. However, before he could answer Matrix, Highlight sped in. Literally. She tried to remember both of their names, and when she came to him awkward silence ensued. That news broadcast clearly made them both feel a little awkward. Neither of the three spoke for a while, although Matrix seemed to be daydreaming. Finally, Dylan spoke. "So... what do you think of the team, and the fact we're a reality TV show?" He tried not to mention the broadcast, as not only did it mention her checking Dylan out, but also her breakup with Alex.

"Talk to my power?" He said with a raised brow. He shook his head and smiled at the hero before him. "Ah you mean what I was saying earlier. I was just thinking out loud." His face brightened at the request. "Bohemian Rhapsody coming up. That's one of my mentors favourite songs. Your mother must've had excellent taste in music. My name is Darrius. It's a pleasure to meet you." He said dipping his head to her in acknowledgement."I like your gloves by the way. They look quite good on you." He says trying to be friendly. This show may be taken extremely seriously by some but that doesn't mean that they can't be civil. Fromus and Ielele were having a chat of their own, something along the lines of what song is better Highway to a Danger zone or Take on me. As he is about to begin the song another young woman steps towards him. Ielele cuts her focus from Fromus to Audrey. She bares her fangs at the woman and hisses into Darrius' ear. "Stay away from her Darrius. She is going to be nothing but trouble."
The small woman interrupted him as he was about to grant Alice's request. She quickly says that being late isn't a big deal because he has powers. "Ah yes, I had a very long flight. I usually make a point to be on time. But as you know it's a long way from Naples to here and a thunderstorm had delayed my flight." The woman still had yet to introduce who she was. Still she forged ahead saying that they're likely going to be working together or against one another. This cause him to narrow his eyes and frown. "I suppose so, that is the nature of these events. What are you proposing?" He listens to her offer. Ielele still hissing in his ear, "She's being incredibly rude, proposing an alliance without even offering her name. And the way she's excluding this other girl from the conversation. I don't like this." Fromus cocked his head to the side at his snake companion. "Are you sure she is?" Fromus asked. "Sure she may be being rude but perhaps that's just the way America is?"
Darrius ignored the banter going on between the spirits and instead asked, "So you're proposing an alliance of sorts then?" It seemed a bit underhanded if he was honest. The games haven't even begun and she was already trying to divide up the heroes." She told him to think on it before walking off. "That was odd. Anyway, I believe you were wanting a song." He said, his pleasant smile returning. " I think I can do that for you. How's this?" He said before gesturing to a random point in the air. Instantly, the music started to play as though an invisible speaker had just appeared. He moves to stand from his seat, taking his bag in hand. "I'll be right back. I'm a bit parched. Please enjoy the music while I'm gone." He said before striding out of the room and down the hall to the kitchen. A few people were already inside. One happened to be offering pepper slices. Not wanting to intrude he steps around them and takes a bottled water from the fridge. He knew it to drink the tap water. The differences in what's in this tap water and the tap water in Naples would be enough to make him sick. He had learned his lesson when he went from Thebes to Naples. He unscrewed the cap and took a sip. "Anyone else want something to drink?" He asked casually.

Watching the rest of the broadcast Desmon forms a fist and sparks emits around his fist Don't fucking judge till you've walk a mile in my goddamn shoes you fuckin cucks. Desmon reaches for his face he takes off his mask none of the others saw his face changing into a black pair of jeans and a clean white tanktop. Walking into the bathroom he checks his hair and makes sure he looks good in-front everyone I swear if I have to hear diamond clit judge again I'm going to launch my manhole at her that will show her who is from the Fringes. Before walking out his room he turns to his duffel bag he grabs a old phone it turn off but it only take Desmon a second to turn it on this old thing required a hell of a kick-starter or a Techie. He navigates to the pictures the scrolls down to a certain of two heroes one of them was a English woman who was called M.Nat or Mother Nature she had powers to control the earth she was a Natural Resource Elementalist. The next was a black man who was called Freak he was a Gene Hazard he was able to both was a flyer and a Energy Wielder. The two were both working on a case together when they both up and disappear to this day this as knew as the missing legends which today haves enormous theories on how they disappear some saying Victon made them disappear others involve the Splice Circle.
He sweeps over towards the right to look at more pictures of the two knowing no one most find this phone Desmon walks over towards the bookshelf and places the phone behind it he didn't want anyone to find let alone actually be able to look at the contains of this phone but there only one person that's able to even power on the phone but Desmon isn't worried about her. Moving it back in it's place thinking on what to do now ah I'll go over to the living room to see who is chilling. Walking over towards the power outlet near his bed Desmon knees down towards the outlet, extending his hand he touches the outlet and disappears in a spark of blue then starts travels towards the living room. Appearing in a spark of blue in the living room Desmon looks around to see who is even in the room hey it's everyone and an who even is that Desmon starts to ponder who the new guy is. Placing his hand on his chin remembering everyone who is on the team ah yes that is Cresendo so looks like he is fashionably late but hey he's here now so who cares. Walking over towards everyone he smiles "So here liked the media of us?" Looking over Cresendo he has powers of Audiokinesis great this guy can just shatter my eardrums at a simple scream. Aww then there's Ruby Desmon always had a soft spot for kids but Ruby seems to be will a teenager in pre-teen clothes is what one could say about her. "So how everyone do also I hear we're making alliances why so soon?" Jokes Desmon as he leans against a cabinet.

"I guess so, why do you go get her. Mind all the crap in the hallway, I'll have the boys move it out of the way later." After Quinn leaves he turns on his rooms cameras seeing a few orbs appear. "Hello everyone, as you can see." He says slyly as he grabs one of the orbs and starts waving it around the room. "This room is bland, and we can't have that. So for the first time ever, I'll broadcast while I'm working. Pop on over to my social media pages and send me a few messages, and I'll give the ones a few shout outs." He puts the camera into a classic selfie pose and blows a kiss before releasing it. "Today's theme will be..." He draws out the sentence while he thinks of a topic. "Try to make me laugh. Who ever is my personal favorite I'll follow you on whatever social media you want." By the time the sentence is ended he is flooded with messages. "Jenny pick out some of the best and give me a few birthdays too, to keep the fans happy." He telepathically tells her while he begins sketching on his wall.
"While I'm picking my favorites how about a few birthday shout outs." He clears his throat as he begins. "Mega_Megan Happy sixteenth birthday. Also happy thirty fourth to SketchyGurl4." He winks at the camera, "How about you, SketchyGurl1 through 3, and I hang out sometime." He says flirtatiously. "Oh this is a good one from, Sinly_Envious 'Highlight X Sketch OTP #HIGHLight.' I get it 420 blaze it amirite? Loser, but that was a good one." He continues while switching between pencils until Mash drops off the last of his luggage, before melting back into the book with his brothers. Screech gives a call to let Alex know he was done with his mission and was moving on to Alice's room. "Enough with the shipping guys come on. Seriously...Me and Matrix come on guys she's like sixteen." Jenny quickly corrects that statement. "Wait she's my age!? No way, huh still stop with the ships." The next few minutes go by the same he answers questions playfully, and tries his best to have fun with his fans, every little bit helps. The rough outline of the left wing is nearing completion. "Ok that's it for now I got to socialize a little bit, I don't want a reputation now do I?" He blows one more kiss and shuts off the cameras, exhausted from the day he lays down on the bed rewinding, the scene of Highlight's dance over and over, with a soft smile on his face waiting for Alice and the doctor to return.
(Meanwhile)
Marissa roams the halls floating around trying to find Alice's bedroom, though this mansion is confusing and she admits to herself she is lost. Removing her head she puts it through the floor below. It seems she's found the kitchen and most of the others, her severed head floats gently by the ceiling fan. Like a periscope she holds her head by her hair she spins her head getting a good look around the room. "Oh drat I'm lost." She speaks up she notices Ruby and has her left hand cover her mouth in shock. "Oh please forgive me for such language in front of the child." She floats down and lands on the floor next to Orbit. She smiles politely as she puts her head back on. "Pardon me I am Marissa, I died in this very room two hundred years ago." She starts laughing the sweetest laugh unable to keep the joke going. "I'm sorry it was a jest, I'm one of Sketch's creations. I seem to be lost, but it is my pleasure too meet you all." She does an elegant curtsy as she introduces herself. "I'm looking for...oh I don't think I'm supposed to tell please forget I mentioned anything." She covers her mouth as if she was shushing herself. "I apologize for the masters lack of socializing, he wanted to get his room prepared as soon as possible. I'm sure he'd be willing to paint any of your rooms." She volunteers Alex with out his consent though he always has a soft spot for Marissa, so he'd forgive her she was sure of it.

Sharna smiles softly at Matrix's offer of a pepper slice and takes one an as a gesture of friendliness The girl is kind but also looks inexperienced when interacting with other people, she seems to be trying her best in being social and is doing pretty well. Since she didn't watch the rest of the broadcast, she didn't see the part where Lyndall called her Socially Retarded. "Thanks. Must be pretty nerve racking, changing places so quickly, huh?" She asks her before eating the pepper slice. She is subtly trying to encourage her attempts at having a conversation with other people.
She turns to Orbit and smiles pleasantly at him, somewhat relieved that they're avoiding what was discussed on the broadcast. "Reality shows are relatively easy stuff. I was in a one time show before." She says as she tosses the apple from hand to hand. "Sometimes producers and other top head guys purposely start drama between people for no reason but do it subtly, to give the show more excitement. It's lame of them, but it happens." She shrugs. "At least it's not a competition this time, am I right?" She smiles optimistically at the two. "I don't have really have an opinion on anybody just yet, too early to tell you know? The only person I know outside of here is Alex." She says it in a casual manner, sounding neutral about the situation and not eager to 'start a relationship' or cold towards him over the past. She doesn't want to discuss the two of them right now, already foreseeing her interview is gonna be mostly questions about him and her, but she also wants to hint to them that she is only viewing him as a friend from the past. She couldn't help the uneasy look on her face when she mentioned his name though. "How about you? Hope the cameras from every angle haven't overwhelmed you yet." She adds a playful smirk to the end of the question.
She turns her head to see Crescendo asking if they want a drink. She almost didn't notice him, thinking she got way into the conversation with the others and failed to see what's happening around her. "I'm good, thanks." She says to him politely. She turns her head a little to spot Ruby at the doorway. She's been a little apprehensive towards the young hero, mostly because her aggressive attitude towards everything conflicts with her own friendly one. Still, doesn't hurt to be polite... She sends her a friendly half hearted salute her way, hopefully that will be enough to encourage her to join the rest of them.
She turns to Livewire confused. "Alliances? There's no need. This isn't a competition like the Hero Project. We're all already a part of the Infinity League permanently. The reality show side of things is basically how heroes live with one another... Nobody is competing for anything." She takes another bite of her apple when she finishes. Is that what they're thinking this is? If so, people may start clashing together already... She almost instinctively brings up a hardlight shield when a literally head appears from the ceiling. She recognises it as Marissa, another one of Alex's creations. She wonders what she means by 'looking for something but can't tell you guys'. What is Alex up to now?... "Hey why doesn't he come down here while everybody is here? We could finally get a proper introduction instead of a makeshift gathering." She asks Marissa with a convincing smile.

Quinn came downstairs to find Alice dancing to... Bohemian Rhapsody? But he didn't see any speakers? Argh he was beginning to question reality! "Hey Alice I want you to come upstairs and meet a friend of mine. Is that okay?"
-
Alice had been leaping around the room dancing with Harvey when Smiley called out to her. She pouted and Harvey started booing but she followed Smiley up the stairs anyway. They walked past some junk in the hallway and turned into a room where three giants were taking things apart. Alice didn't even blink although she looked questioningly up at Smiley to see if he was seeing this too, just in case. Smiley nodded and she went in to the room where the Rainbow Cat Boy from earlier was lying down. "You guys met earlier but I'll introduce you properly; Alice Alex, Alex Alice. Say hello Alice." Alice stepped forward her nervousness counteracted by the sight of Harvey riding piggy-back on one of the giants. "Hello, Smiley told me a bit about you he said your like me but instead of making other people see your friends you can make them real. Is that true? I wish I could have made my friends real. Can I touch you." She again held up a gloved hand as if expecting a hi-five.

Darrius nods his head when told that she doesn't want anything to drink. He cuts his eyes to the others but they seem wrapped up in their conversation. He shrugs and leans against the fridge. One of the men in the room asked about alliances which caused Darrius to furrow his brow. "Yeah, one of the girls came over and asked to form an alliance with me. Couldn't hazard a guess to why, it isn't like it's a contest." He took another sip of water and shrugged. "Anyway, she walked off before I could say anything." He pushed off of the fridge and extended his hand. "Names Darrius or I guess you could call me Crescendo if you want to call me by my hero title." He offers an embarrassed smile. "Still feels weird to have a title. But I guess that's the way things are over here."
Halfway through his conversation he notices a head float inside the kitchen. He stares in its general direction for a moment before cutting glancing back at his spirits. Fromus replied with a confused look. "Don't look at us, that's someone else's doing." Apparently satisfied with this answer, Darrius sighed and shook his head. "I have a feeling this is only going to get weirder before the day is through." He mumbles to himself.

'Is that a ghost? No, it can't be... Oh! Alex must have made her!' Dylan began to have an internal conversation in his head about the ghost that came in with a decapitated, before silencing his thoughts. As Marissa explained her predicament, Dylan became both understanding and confused at the same time. Why couldn't Marissa tell them? However, his thoughts were once again silenced by the offer of Alex coming down. Now, he had a feeling the media would think that this would make him angry or some random nonsense like that, but in actuality he was happy that the whole team would be here. Dylan hadn't been able to introduce himself properly to everyone here, so this would provide an opportunity to do that. On another note, Dylan was considering asking Alex to paint his room. Hmm... what to get... what to get... Dylan wondered. Darla chimed in, speaking in herclassic accent, which for some reason seems to be changing constantly. "How about you start thinkin' about that interview, how bow dah? Sorry, I think my language systems are a little on the fritz! I need a lie down..." Dylan thought back to her, saying "That's a good idea, actually! Don't worry, though, I'll get you fixed up at the shop later."

Leaning against the door frame of the large kitchen, Audrey stood in silence as people talked and moved around her. The crowd in the kitchen grew when both Crescendo and Livewire filled into it after her. Though she wouldn't have entered the kitchen in the first place if she'd known that it was going to become so crowded, she supposed that this was a good enough time to introduce herself to the others. When Livewire mentioned hearing about her alliance proposal, she visibly jumped a bit and looked at him through shifty eyes. She nervously wondered how he had heard any of what she said to Crescendo and Alex. She immediately began to feel suspicious of Livewire and was about to tell him to mind his own business before she was interrupted. She looked over at Highlight when she was the first address her presence in the kitchen with a wave. Remembering that she was one of the heroes who she planned on trying to befriend, she responded to her awkward salute with a bit more sarcastic one of her own. At this, she kicked off from the place she had been resting against and stepped over to stand slightly closer to Highlight and become a part of the group in the center. Before she could introduce herself, she was surprised by Highlight's response to Livewire's question. She stared blankly into space as she began to explain that this wasn't actually a competition and that she had been completely wrong about the nature of the show she was appearing on. Come to think of it, she hadn't actually heard anything from the hosts that made it sound like a competition and the people around her weren't acting very competitive. Trying to suppress her anger and embarrassment at being so wrong and seeming so silly to Crescendo earlier, she wiped her eyes a little as many thoughts formed in her mind at once. 'That's a lie and they know it..' She thought to herself, beginning to grit her teeth a bit. She decided to calm herself down a bit before speaking and trying to defend her self to the people who had heard her request earlier. "Hmm.." She started, sighing in exasperation. "Even if they haven't set up some kind of game for this dumb show, you guys know that it's still a competition in a way right?" She looked up smugly at the people looking at her. "The cameras and audience means that some people are coming out on top of others." She still felt that the show was very much a competition, but the idea of teaming up seemed a lot less necessary now. "But, yeah, teaming up is a pretty dumb idea considering how different it is this time around." She looked over at the people who knew that she was the one who brought up alliances in the first place and gave them a grim expression, hoping that it would silence them from telling that she was the culprit. "I wonder who'd try that, though." She said, looking down to the floor in embarrassment. Since almost everyone was gathered around, she guessed that she should be bothered to introduce herself to everyone who didn't know. The people like Matrix and Wonderland were probably too busy being weird everyday to keep up with the important heroes after all, she thought. She looked up at the people still looking at her. "Call me Ruby, I guess.." She said, sighing. "If any of you know my real name, you'd better not call me by it unless you wanna piss me off."
She began to turn around to look at the heroes behind her and quietly gasped out of fear as she did. Her eyes widened at what seemed to be a ghostly head coming through the doorway of the kitchen. "W-Wah!?" She yelled slightly, backing up a bit and bumping into Highlight. Too shocked to try suppressing her childish fear, she simply stared at the head and leaned against Highlight. Her fear turned to bewilderment and shock that caused her to remain motionless. She would've normally told someone off for calling her a child, but in this case it was a ghost's head. Through her many dealings with villains and heroes, otherworldly powers like these still frightened and surprised her. Though her expression and thoughts normalized somewhat, she still kept her position and watched the head in a daze.

Furrowing her eyebrows in confusion as everyone began talking to each other, she started to feel a particular sense of awkwardness that she knew all too well, the nervousness bubbling up in her stomach.
Electing to back out of any conversations currently going on, she sent a simple nod of acknowledgement towards Highlight in recognition for her question in lieu of a proper response. She didn't like it, but it was getting too loud for her to like this very much. She hoped she understood. She seemed nice so far. More people had joined the kitchen, and it didn't do much for her sense of security. Sketch's ghost was quite interesting; remarkably so, to say the least, but she had the feeling that she'd be more equipped to be interested when she felt calmer. Her mouth twitching slightly in nerves, she didn't even notice when her hands came together and started rubbing together as if she was cold. None of the other kids ever did that, but Mom said it wasn't anything to be ashamed of. It helped her with the nerves, so she should never be ashamed of it, Mom said. Completely natural. It calmed her down in anxious situations. She did often wonder how she looked to other people when she backed out of such situations and acted in such a manner, though. They could talk among themselves, and they would enjoy it. She'd be fine blending into the background for now, she mused as she focused her attention back onto her plate and started picking up another pepper slice, almost robotically bringing it up to her mouth with her left hand as her right started to drum a soft pattern on the kitchen island marble.
Watching her own plate demurely, her attention was diverted once more by the entrance of another person in their midst; a young girl, apparently. More people had joined since, but she especially recalled searching the girl when she was at home. The age would be disconcerting to most. Also, her 'bitchy' reputation left her a bit on edge. Her mom often said that other girls that made fun of her were just being 'bitchy' themselves, so she wasn't sure what to feel now that she was here. She hoped the girl wouldn't make fun of her, she mused. The girl had started talking since she had been mulling on her thoughts, making various cryptic comments, making her eyebrows furrow in confusion at some of them. She apparently needed context, she mused further as the girl jumped back in fear at the acknowledgement of Sketch's ghost, still mulling over her words as the girl did her best to compose herself.
"Like Voldemort?" She asked the girl innocuously as she lifted her head up, looking past the girl at the door behind her. She didn't do well with eye-contact, but this was the best she could usually get, hoping her vacant stare wasn't too vacant this time. Even over a hundred years on, teenagers still read the Harry Potter series from time to time; not exactly classic literature, but sometimes it happened. Hopefully this girl had the interest she hoped she did; Mom always said common knowledge was the best way to integrate yourself into conversations.
"Pepper?" She asked inquisitively before the girl could answer, deciding to follow up her question with the double whammy of offering her the peppers like Highlight, whom seemed to respond favourably, she mused as she grabbed the plate and held her arm out once more.
She was doing great for now. At least she had a rhythm now.

He was happy to simply hang out until the girl from earlier stopped by. She started saying how the show was still a competition despite not being the kind she imagined. Ielele glared at her from her perch around her host's neck. "I knew there was a reason why I didn't like her. If any of these heroes is gonna stab you in the back it'll be her." Fromus however, not interested in discussing the manipulative girl instead took off from Darrius' shoulder and coasted to island. His talons make quiet clicks against the counter top. He tilted his head at girl enjoying her pepper slices. "Curious. She looks nervous doesn't she?" He said turning his head to look at Darrius. He turned his head back to the girl. "Maybe she doesn't like to be around this many people?" Darrius couldn't say whether that was true but she did look a little uneasy. He was about to go ask if she needed to get some air before she started talking again. He mentally chided himself, she can take care of herself.
There was a lull in conversation which allowed him to slip out of the room. He didn't go far, just outside of the kitchen near the steps. It was getting a bit too crowded in there for his tastes. He leans against the wall and starts going through his mental playlist. He lands on one of his usual go to songs. "When we were young the future was so bright. The old neighbourhood was so alive. Every kid on the whole damn street, was gonna make it big in every beat. Now the neighbourhoods cracked and torn. The kids are grown up but their lives are worn. How can one little street swallow so many lives?" He sings quietly with the instruments only making a small amount of noise near his ears.

"Smiley huh?" Alex questions while looking Quinn over. "Yeah you can touch me, just keep it PG-13 for now." He winks and laughs a bit, pressing his hand against hers. "I guess that's a way to describe my powers, but I have to draw or sculpt them first. Jeremy my cat is actually made of play-doh but I made him real when I was a kid. The Rock brothers, screech, and a million more." He looks at Quinn and nods then turns his head to Alice. "Smiley, used to help me when I had problems. So I offered to be friends with you, since I owe him one." He smiles warmly at her trying his best to be as nice as possible, while keeping their hands pressed. "So if you need anything from me let me know, I'll always be here to help." He continues smiling. "Come on lets go meet the others, we are good from here Doc. Call me if something comes up." With that he pulls Alice gently with him out of his room and down the hall.
He looks back at Alice still smiling at her. "I'm sure this is all weird huh? All these super powered, super ego having heroes, and now they are our roommates." He laughs a little trying to keep the mood light, as they calmly walk down the hall. "Its a big place huh? Mine is bigger." He sighs a little homesick. "Though its emptier there so I guess its nice to have people around." He hears singing ahead of him and perks his head up interested.
"Offsprings cool." Jenny approves as she pops up, "That must be that Crescendo guy, not a lot on him." She shrugs answering the question Alex was about to ask. "Tell him his music taste is alright by me boss." She laughs and disappears from view as Alex and Alice are a few feet from Crescendo.
"Hey man I'm Alex, they call me sketch, but Alex is better." He waves and smiles politely at Crescendo, "This is Alice if you haven't met her yet. My Mechip Jenny says you got a good taste in music, and she wanted me to tell you." He chuckles a bit and walks down the stairs. "I gotta say I have a bit of a bone to pick with you. The pretty boy creative type, who shows up fashionably late is kind of my thing, you're stepping on my toes here man." He laughs as he's clearly joking. "Well I guess I got to meet the team. Nice chatting with you." He says sincerely as he had no opinion of the new guy yet, and wanted to be polite.
Upon entering the kitchen he sees the rest of the team, chatting he notices Ruby looking slightly scared, he scans the room and spots Marissa. With a cocky smile he walks past Ruby and rubs her hair tauntingly. "What's the matter Ruby, you look like you've seen a ghost." He obviously fakes concern at her fears. "Maybe we can get you a night light." He continues to poke fun at her while walking to the fridge. "Marissa? Why are you in the kitchen? Screech is probably furious by now you know how the little bird gets." He states curiously with no real emotion in his voice.
"Sorry I got lost, I'll go take care of that, now. It was very nice meeting all of you." Marissa says is a lovely tone with a smile on her face as she floats back up. Alex opens the fridge, "Oh I'm Alex this is Alice. Be nice now, she's a friend of a friend." He gives a halfhearted introduction. "It seems are Swedish nightmare won't be joining us." Alex comments on Night Terror not being around. "Oh sweet!" He yells a little in excitement, pulling his favorite beer Cerveza Chango. "I'm tellin you guys, get yourself a good manager. Makes life so much easier." He walks to the island in the center of the kitchen and sits on it. "Boooootttle Ooooopener." He says quietly while looking around the room, giving up he opens his sketch book, to a page containing a giant red dragon, surrounded by fire, gold and jewels. "Thorn, a hand please." Alex commands while tilting his beer over the book, a red scaly hand proceeds to pull itself from the book while it grabs the beer, and pops the cap off. "Thanks man." Alex gives a small salute, as Thorn gives a thumbs up while slowly melting back into his picture.
"Dragons make great bottle openers what can I say." He laughs to himself while taking a drink. "So yeah I'm Alex or Sketch as they call me, Alex is fine. I was hoping this place would be bigger, its a bit cramped, but hey at least there's a pool and a hot tub so that's cool. Um lets see, I've met Livewire already. Highlight and me go back a bit. Alice I already know, Ruby I've seen you around before, but it's nice to finally meet you." Looking at the odd girl offering peppers he can't help, but smile. "You must be Matrix, its a pleasure to meet you." He says with an honest smile on his face, hoping to not come off too nice but wanted to come off genuine. He looks over at Orbit and the voice decides to speak up. There he is, look she's eye FUCKING him right now. Don't take that shit show this old motherfucker who's boss. He visibly shakes his head while his eyes are still locked on Orbit. Never mind don't even try to compete with him, you're garbage complete trash of course she likes him over you. His free hand clenches into a fist and starts shaking a little, he hides it by putting it in his jacket pocket. "Sup?" Is all he says at Orbit with clear lack of caring, he doesn't want the question answered, their eyes meet and there is a clear animosity coming from Alex. Turning his head to Highlight his smile returns, the voice quiets and his hand stops shaking. "So I hope you weren't planning on keeping Jeremy, everyone seems to think he was a gift to you, but unless you can patch him up every now and again I think its best he stays with me." He says laughing a little bit at the misunderstanding, with Jeremy making sure the atmosphere isn't polluted by his anger towards Dylan. That bitch doesn't like you why do you try so hard? You're going to fail and get hurt like always, you're going to relapse and I'm going to laugh every second. At least this time lets kick the shit out of Orbit he's the reason things are so perfect after all. He takes another sip of his drink trying to tune out the voice, hoping it will go away without the need of something stronger. He folds his legs and begins rubbing his right ankle checking to make sure his supply was still hidden.

A few moments later, Audrey quickly stepped forward and out of Highlight's space. She quickly realized that no one else there had the same reaction that she did, so embarrassment promptly began to kick in. "W-what are you doing? Get off of me!" She exclaimed, looking at Highlight and desperately trying to pretend to the others that she hadn't cowered into her. She nervously hoped that the room's cameras weren't watching this for some reason, but knew that the chances of that were pretty slim. She continued to warily eye the apparition, but did her best to wipe the fear from her face.
As Sketch finally made his way to the kitchen, she briefly removed her eyes from the ghost to notice his presence. As she did so, she saw that he was directing his attention to her with a smug expression on his face. She watched him expectantly until he made it over to her and put a hand on her head. She jerked back immediately in response to his gesture and looked at him with an incredulous expression, backing up into the heroine behind her once again. With both a ghost being in the room and being approached by an almost complete stranger, she almost didn't know how to react. "What the he- Why is everyone trying to touch me!?" She exclaimed. After he makes it clear that he was responding to her reaction to the ghost, she glared at him grimly. "That's because there's a freaking ghost in the room. Why is there a ghost in the room!?" She hadn't yet made the connection that it was one of Alex's creations, so she was confused at everyone's nonchalance. After Alex commented about her needing a nightlight, she began visibly seething. She hands balled up as she began to defend herself. "I'm not scared. I'm just shocked about a flying head appearing in the kitchen." She said through gritted teeth. Alex had more than landed it on her 'bad list', but she was too embarrassed about the conversation to let it continue by saying anything else.
"Druggie asshole.." She growled lowly, as Alex left her to introduce himself to everyone else. She started to quickly run her hands through her red hair, thinking that it would wipe off the grossness of his hands from it. Even though she hadn't really done anything physically demanding, she was exhausted from all of the recently spent adrenaline. Her embarrassment led her to consider leaving the kitchen and finally checking out her room, but she was stopped when approached by yet another person. Her inward thoughts were soon interrupted by a strange question that mentioned something with a strange name in it. Turning around to find the culprit, she found that it was the strange girl from earlier. Audrey's mouth went agape, as she hadn't heard the name in question clearly and had no clue what the girl had meant by it. For a moment, she thought that the girl may have been talking to herself because of the fact that she wasn't looking at her directly. As her mannerisms slightly leaned towards ruby, however, she became sure that she was. As glamorous as this place was, she was beginning to wonder if it's worth living with crazy people in it to experience the luxury.
"Excuse me?" She asked with a slightly rude tone. "What are you trying to say to me?" Her patience for the girl had seemed to end as soon as she spoke to her. After a little while of playing the sound of the question back in her mind, a light bulb went off. "L-like Voldemort..?" She asked. "Is that what you said?" She had found out about the series from school and had loved the books from it that she'd read so far, but she couldn't think of why the character was relevant. Since it had been a long time ago since she had mentioned her name, she couldn't think of why Voldemort was relevant at all. "Um, y-yeah I do like Voldemort. I guess..?" She stammered a bit. She was too concerned by how the girl was acting to act rudely towards her and she was more confused than anything at this point. "Um, d-do you?" She asked her. She briefly felt afraid of the small girl in front of her, wondering if she'd attack her or something based on her answer to the question.
She had been to shocked by her first question that she didn't realize that the strange girl had been holding out a pepper and offering it to her. She looked down at the pepper and then back up to the girl's face in shock. She didn't really know how to respond, but she was feeling kind of nervous and confused. "C-could you tell me.. What the hell is wrong with you?" She asked sincerely even though the nature of the question was rude. She hadn't asked the question with bullying intent, but was genuinely concerned. There was something innocent about the girl's nature that made even Audrey hesitate to respond harshly towards. Even though she was a bit creepy, she didn't seem to have a malicious bone in her body and seemed to only want to make a friend. Though Audrey sometimes enjoyed bullying people, she found it hard to be mean to someone who seemed so emotionally incapable. Her shocked expression had been statically frozen in place at this point, as she looked down at the extended pepper once again. "Um, I.." She began to hesitantly extend her own hand, warily watching for any sudden movements from the girl. When none came, she carefully grabbed the pepper and pulled back quickly. "Um, yeah, fine.." She said awkwardly, holding the pepper and truly not knowing how to react. She kept her glance and strange expression on the girl. Even though she weirded her out, she was sort of intrigued by her mannerisms. "Now, um.. What's wrong with you?" She asked, genuinely curious and with no other way to ask her question.
As Alex yelled across the room to introduce himself to Ruby in a more formal manner, she hesitantly broke her stare at Matrix enough to quickly flip him off. She wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic or actually genuine, but she was still pissed off about earlier. She returned her attention to Matrix immediately after, still a bit baffled.

Katie walks into the kitchen, holofile in her hands as always. She peers up to look at everyone one."Excellent. You're all in one spot." She says with a smile, then gets to immediately serious. "The reporter has arrived a little earlier than specified. However, I reckon we have the time to get this all done. I'll call you up one by one. His name is Richard McCree and a reporter/writer for What's Hot! Magazine, probably the biggest magazine in Millennial City and therefore, you will get noticed right away from this. I do not need to remind you that Top Class will get exclusive access to the content before publication and will review later in the day. Whatever you say will have an impact on your name, you must behave and use your words carefully." She now relaxes again and looks back down at her files. "I will take you one by one. Night Terror bluntly refused his. His choice I suppose. Who is first?"
----
Highlight immediately jumps for the first chance. "I'll be up for it! Might as well get mine done while I can." She says cheerfully as she lifts her goggles from her eyes and onto the top of her head. She is confident about speaking her story, as well as giving her other team mates some time to prepare themselves for their turn. Katie nods and leads her towards the room where the interview takes place.
(Later.)
Highlight returns with Katie. She is growing, feeling that interview couldn't have gone any smoother. She said everything she wanted to say, mentioned her love for her fans and got to answer some questions that everybody wanted to know. All in all, she thinks she passed with flying colours. "You guys have no worries. McCree is an awesome guy to talk to." she assures the rest of them, grinning widely. Regardless with how well it went, she does feel a little tired from it. It always puts your mind through a lot when talking about heavy subjects with full honesty. She leans on the kitchen counter and rotates her neck, three audible cracks as she does.
Katie looks to the rest. "Alright. Who is next?"

Upon hearing the girl's sharp tone, a bubble of panic rose up in her chest; perhaps she'd gone about it the wrong way. Perhaps she should have clarified further what she meant, rather than expecting her to make the logical leap on her own. It was a pretty obvious link, given that both the girl and Voldemort despised their regular names, but there was a lot of things that she got that other people didn't. Just like there was a lot of things that she didn't get that other did pretty easily. But the girl seemed to get it eventually, giving a response to the question and returning one of her own. Maybe she hadn't done so badly after all. She found him interesting as a villain; she understood in theory what made him tick, but not in practice. That happened for a lot of things.
But upon hearing her subsequent question, she felt her heart cave inwards, her face crumpling in mortification bit by bit. It was times like this that she hated having such a good memory; instances of being pushed around on the playground, followed home and having things thrown at her, being called names, her Mom being cornered in the shop about her, they all hit her like a tidal wave as she valiantly tried to conceal her feelings. She was never very good at it, though; she was probably failing. The others were probably looking her like everyone else did. As the girl nervously reached out to take a pepper from the plate she'd offered, she felt her arm locked in place; shock at her comment had rendered it unable to move. Still doing her best to marshal her feelings as she swallowed once, she blinked twice before she cast her eyes to the girl's chest; she still couldn't do eye-contact, but she could try the closest thing. She thought she'd build up her conversational skills bit by bit with these people; they all seemed nice, but they were a lot worse than she'd thought. Maybe the girl was having a bad day, and maybe she was in the wrong for not trying harder to be more accommodating, but her original plan had gone out the window, now.
"Mom said there's nothing wrong with me." She responded in an even softer voice than usual, hoping nobody could hear the slight wavering in her voice. "But everyone else says that I'm...retarded. Like the woman on the show said." She added on, bringing the plate of peppers back into her chest and setting them on the kitchen island, the porcelain clacking on the marble a split second before Katie pushed open the door behind the girl, causing every set of eyes to swivel to look at her. Except for hers; her eyes remained fixed on the plate in front of her, her hands coming together and rubbing softly to try and rid herself of some of the anxiety threatening to overwhelm her. Once Katie had mentioned something about interviews and Highlight volunteering to be the first as they both left, she breathed deeply once before she jumped off of the stool on the kitchen island and quickly followed Katie and Highlight out of the door, keeping her eyes fixed on the floor as she speed-walked past several people and out of the door, leaving the pepper slices abandoned on the island.
"Next?" She asked quickly, catching up to the two woman chatting as they walked down the corridor, causing both of them to stop in their tracks and turn around inquisitively, looking down at her with slight surprise. "Second." She clarified softly, keeping her eyes fixed on their abdomens and rubbing her hands together, awaiting their response. The two women exchanged what was most likely an affirming look between them, before Katie nodded slightly, smiling at her as she turned back around and started walking, moving slightly to the right to allow her room in the middle between the two taller women; eyes widening slightly in nerves, she deliberately slowed her pace to stay behind the two women. Both of them taking the hint rapidly, they both resumed their regular pace and resumed talking between themselves, periodically casting a concerned gaze at the girl walking steadily behind them, her head ducked and her eyes darting around. Walking for close to a minute and turning a few corners, they eventually stopped at one of the living room entrances, Katie taking the initiative and reaching forward, grabbing the pristine doorknob and opening the door for Highlight to step in. Rattling off what sounded like an obligatory disclaimer as Highlight swanned inside the door with purpose, Katie sent the woman one last smile before she gently closed the door, turning towards the smaller woman with a perturbed expression.
"Are you okay?" Katie frowned, pulling the tablet she held against her chest, fixing her with what she supposed was a concerned expression of some sort; she couldn't really see from this position. "I wouldn't have expected you to be one to jump at the opportunity to talk to people."
"No...no." She responded softly after a few seconds, wringing her hands together. "It's not..." She trailed off, stammering slightly.
"Chloe...what happened?" Katie narrowed her eyes, her question dangerously calm; something had happened before she'd got there. Met only with frantic shakes of the smaller woman's head and more vigorous wringing of the hands, she immediately set to reassuring her, muttering soothing acquiescences as she bent her knees slightly, bringing her height down to the smaller woman's view. "No, it's fine; it's fine, okay? I won't pry, you don't have to tell me." She comforted the girl in front of her. "Look, there's a room right across from this one; you can use that as a waiting room, okay? While you wait for your interview, you can be on your own, okay?" She pacified, her feelings soothing slightly as the smaller woman awkwardly stood there for a few seconds, and then shortly nodded. Reaching out a hand softly to direct the woman to the room she had outlined, she shadowed Matrix as she began to walk towards the room at a relatively slow pace, reaching out with her hand and opening the door as they got there, allowing the smaller woman to enter the room. As they both entered the room, she noticed the smaller woman's eyes still fixed on the floor as she shuffled over to one of the leather chairs and sank herself into it, drawing her limbs together as if she was halfheartedly trying to curl up into a ball. As she did, Katie realised that she had been holding something for the girl in front of her; just something to help her when she wanted to block everything out and make everything easier for her in this place.
"Look, Chloe, I have something for you." Katie started, her voice gentle as she reached into her uniform pocket and pulled out a fresh pair of headphones, no longer in the packaging, but still clearly unused. "Your mom told us that you enjoy listening to music when everything else gets too loud, or you can't handle it. I thought these might help for that." The taller woman raised her eyebrows slightly in an attempt to display warmth, reaching out and placing the headphones on the chair arm next to the girl curled up in the chair who, after a period of several seconds of refraining from moving, reached out slowly and picked up the headphones, handling them with care. Smiling softly once more at the soft actions of the smaller woman curled up on the chair, Katie slowly started to back away, starkly aware of her duty and she turned around and quietly headed for the door, heading through the door and closing it quietly, leaving Matrix alone in the room.
Registering Katie leaving the room as she held the headphones in her fingers, she furrowed her eyebrows slightly as she pressed each headphone into the corresponding ear, running her fingers along the cord until she reached the jack and pulling her phone out of her pocket at the same time as she pulled the two of them towards each other and inserted the jack into her phone. Quickly activating her phone, unlocking it and opening the music on her phone, she selected a song and gently set her phone next to her left thigh, letting out a literal breath of relief as the music began to flood her ears and sooth her nerves, the turbulence bubbling inside her beginning to subside already. This was better; this she could do. Music blocked everything out; nothing was as confusing as it was before, it was just her in her own world instead her in another that she didn't understand. She almost felt free.
She continued to feel like that as the minutes went by, and the song ended, the replay function ensuring that the song restarted from the beginning once more, doing that for a few loops before she saw the door open through the corner of her eyes; reluctantly moving her hand down towards her phone beside her thigh, her fingers glowing a soft green as she rested her middle finger on the locked screen and instantaneously pausing the music, she turned her head slightly to see the Katie's form in the doorway as she softly reached up to take her headphones out of her ears to listen to Katie gently calling her name.
"Chloe? Highlight's done; it's your turn, okay?" The woman informed her kindly, smiling softly.

With Highlight returning to the kitchen and Matrix is in the interview, she can now confront Ruby without Matrix having to witness this and possibly get caught in the cross fire. She walks over to her and just looks completely perplexed at her. "Snapping at her because she offered you something? Really, kid? Come on, Ruby. We're supposed to be a team here, looking out for one another. You verbally insulted that poor girl who will have your back I'm the future and said that this is still a competition in a way so we shouldn't count on Teamwork... Dude, not cool." She shakes her head in a disappointed manner. She can't believe somebody could be so selfish when it comes to a team and harsh to such an innocent girl.

"Rich McCree?" Alex ask Highlight after she's done laying into Ruby. The girl deserved it, who's bright idea was it having a kid be on here anyway. She should be a sidekick to some C-list hero, not thrown in this group in front of cameras. "He's a good guy, he'll take it easy on us I've been on the cover of his magazine a few times. I've done a bunch of interviews with him so no worries here guys." Alex says confidently taking a sip of his beer, he looks over a Livewire. "Say Live let me ask you a question. You gonna be able to talk about your past, cause they are gonna bring up yours and mine. Its inevitable they are going to poke at those wounds. My advice either refuse to answer or be as stoic as possible. Don't let them think they are getting to you." He nods at Livewire trying to be friendly, now is the time to make friends so life will be easier.

Wow that little brat needs an fucking leash on her month serious with someone as nice and well in Live's case cute as Matrix, then again she a pre-teen and well pre-teens do stupider shit that teens I myself bring an example. Looking back at Ruby he wants to say something but well he doesn't want to step on anyone's toes like everyone else aside from Night. Night to him was a person who takes things to serious and I just love to miss with his seriousness. Turing over towards Alex "Yea I know that the media just loves to poke part at the story of people from the Fringes look at Static being one of them. I want to tell my story but well there's certain elements of said story that will cause a shitstorm in the media and either way it will one it would damage my legend stats for good or two solve a certain mystery that's yet to be solved." Hearing the words come out of his month Live says "Disregard that if you could Alex?" He likes Alex as a friend but he would rather not any anything that will give any hints. Looking over towards Highlight worry in his eyes "Hey High do you think Mats is going to be alright I mean with happen and what this little imp said..." Great I had to fucking ask why the fuck do I always do this!? Holding his head down for a bit Live doesn't look up yes like there going to trust me and my hellion ways. Self-doubt is a tool of learning for the many who overcome it Live was confident in his powers and such; But self-doubt was an object of torture for the unlucky few Desmon just happen to be one of those few.

Her steps slowing slightly once she'd left the room in somewhat of a hurry and headed several feet down the hallway before Katie caught up to her, she turned her head slightly to catch the taller woman in her peripheral vision; keeping her gaze fixed to the floor as she vaguely listened to Katie's reassuring platitudes, she began mulling over the events that had happened as of when she'd arrived in the mansion; so far, she'd been insulted twice (once to her face), and the rest of them seemed to be bonding much better than she had ever come close to. It wasn't exactly a surprise; she wasn't the best at it. But still, finding out where she stood was interesting at the very least. Even if it was entirely expected. Seeing a soft hand arrive in her field of vision, her eyes snapped towards the appendage pointing out towards the end of the hallway, leading back down to the kitchen where she came. Katie wanted her to go back there. This was also expected, but her track record had rather proven that she wasn't doing so well as of now with the bonding. Perhaps she needed to recap, she mused as her eyes fixed on the pad tucked under Katie's arm. Or, the more likely explanation, she just wasn't ready to deal with it right now.
Her decision already made, she looked past the hand attempting to helpfully guide her and shot her arm out, resting her fingers on the screen of the pad with practised delicacy as her skin started to glow green and she disappeared into the pad, diving into the network headfirst as Katie reeled back in shock. As the taller woman looked around wildly and fixed her gaze on the pad currently glowing green in her arm, she watched as the pad swiftly faded back to a dull black, returning to a mundane pad in her arms as quickly as it had been elevated, leaving her alone in the hallway and waiting for her to regain her senses, take the hint and return to the kitchen once more.
As she surfed the networks, she felt a familiar sense of calm envelop her currently dematerialised being; it was still a strange sensation, feeling things through avenues that no longer existed. But she had felt trapped earlier; she needed to be free for a period of time before she could be comfortable enough again, she mused as she exited the mansion system and headed off into the vast unknown of the Internet, leaving the mansion and her teammates behind.
It wouldn't take long; she could go around the entire Internet several times, far more than she needed to clear her head, and be back in time to materialise in her room in isolation before Katie had the time to take a single step towards the kitchen. But it was less about the trip than anything else; she enjoyed it in her body, but in her body she had strings. She had strings, but now she was free.
There were no strings on her.

Ruby noticed that a lot of the room's attention was on her after Matrix had left for her interview and wasn't completely sure why. Picking up on several disapproving glares, she began to tense up a bit and tried to think of any reason for her vilification. Usually, these kinds of stares would only come along when she actually tried to stir trouble. The feeling that everyone else in the room knew something that she didn't caused her to become antsy. Her confusion was answered by Highlight, who she saw was beginning to approach with determination. Ruby looked slightly confused in her expression as the older hero approached, but she stood firmly in her ground. Before she could question Highlight, the woman immediately began to scold her for how she had been acting. Ruby stared at her defiantly for a moment, but tried to actually think of what could have set everyone off this much. It became clearer through Highlight's scolding that everyone was holding her in contempt for how she acted towards Matrix, which only made her more confused. In her mind, she had been pretty easy on the girl and had been feeling somewhat proud of herself for actually trying to appease her.
The second part of Highlight's response made more since, though. She'd expected to step on a few toes with her prior declaration of competition. Though she'd been used to dealing with large-scale contempt in the past, even from the media, she began to feel uneasy about making such enemies of people who she was going to be living with for such a long time. Her face was wiped of the arrogance and hostility that it had only been showing before. With how everyone seemed to be reacting to her, she began to feel like she'd bitten off a bit more than she could chew. At this point, she fought against the urge to yell at the woman who had gotten in her face in order to keep from burying herself into an even deeper hole. As she thought more about Matrix's reaction to what she'd said, she also began to feel a bit ashamed. She wouldn't have cared if anyone else there had started acting offended because of something she said, but something about Matrix's surface defenselessness made her feel frustratingly guilty. The conflicting feelings of guilt and anger caused her face to redden a bit. "Look.." She said, unsure of how say anything that would avoid pissing everyone off any further. She sighed and forced away negative thoughts, trying to restrain herself from yelling at Highlight. "I've been saying things because I assumed I was going need to be more competitive than I actually do, okay? I don't actually want things to be this way the whole time.." She said in a defensive tone, hoping that it would substitute for an actual apology. She was noticeably breathing somewhat heavily as she kept her emotions in check.
"I'll tell Matrix something after her interview too." She mumbled lowly. "So get out of my way." She said more firmly, breaking eye contact with Highlight and walking past her. That last part probably wasn't going to make matters any better, but she couldn't really help it. As she walked forward to wait for her interview, deciding that she would go next, she noticed that Sketch and Livewire were looking at her with particular scorn too. She sighed and wondered for a bit why everyone seemed to be so smitten with Matrix. Regardless, she felt that she needed to at least try to apologize to the girl after she was finished with her own interview. When Katie had returned to the kitchen, but without Matrix, Ruby volunteered to go next for the sake of convenience. She wondered where Matrix had gone and concluded that she probably returned to her room in order to retire from the crowd in the kitchen.
After Ruby walked out from the interviewing room that she had recently made tense, she looked shameless about the actions she took within. Even though she gave him a tiny light show, it was obvious to her at least that she wasn't gonna hurt anyone. As Katie was expressing her strict disapproval towards Ruby's actions, she batted away the woman's hand that tried to lead her back towards the kitchen. "Whatever." She said blankly, in response to yet more scolding. She'd been yelling too much at this point to get in Katie's face. From the way she handled the situation in the room, it seemed like Katie wasn't too intimidated by her anyway. "But I'm not going back to the kitchen either. See ya." She said, immediately turning her back to the woman and walking in the opposite direction. Ruby decided to check Matrix's designated room for her, feeling that she should probably get it out of the way quickly. She walked through the long hallways of a more practical part of the mansion before eventually making it to the area that housed all of the heroes rooms. After looking around a bit, she eventually found the door that indicated that it belonged to Matrix's designated quarters. She wasn't really sure what kind of reaction to expect from the girl, but decided that trying to force an apology would probably be for the best.
With her lack of manners still in tact, Ruby impatiently opened the door without knocking once. Regardless of whatever else was in the room, Matrix either hadn't gone to her room or hadn't gotten there yet. Ruby's earlier fear of the girl started to worm its way back into her mind, but she forced it back out. She was going to need to actually start trusting a little bit. She stepped a hesitant foot into the room and looked around. For all she knew, the girl could've been hiding in it somewhere.

As he was listening to his music one of the other heroes happened by. From what he could guess, that was Sketch. He mentioned that he had a good taste in music and having a bone to pick with him before hurrying off. Seemed nice enough, he'll have to try speaking with the man when he's not so busy.
Darrius let himself focus on the music while the others had their spat with the kid. So far things were off to a fantastic start. The team was already divided and they hadn't even gotten through their first day. But he supposed that was simply what was to be expected. Their personalities were clashing. He gave it about a week before they start getting a solid feel for one another. After that it'd doubtlessly take two weeks to a month before they start acting like a team. Unfortunately, the time that they have for these niceties is limited. They'll be called on to act on threats to the safety of thousands of people soon with limited Intel. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose at the thought of this team having to work together to get something done in the near future. The lives of thousands rest on their shoulders and people are acting like it's a game. "Are you alright?" He looked to the source of the voice. He had been so lost in thought that he hadn't noticed the approach of Katie. "Oh, yeah I'm fine. Just thinking. Matrix and Ruby all finished with their interviews?"
She nodded, "Yep, finished. You ready?" He shrugged and nudged himself off of the wall he had been leaning against. "Sure." He said as he proceeded to follow her to the interview. The interview itself didn't take time and wasn't particularly bad either. He thought that rather humourous given all the stories he had heard of awful the press can be. To him it seemed more like any other chat. He was polite to his Richard and was afforded the same courtesy. They couldn't really twist his words since he had nothing controversial to say. He walked by the kitchen and asked. "Do they have a place to train here?"
