Sitting behind the desk at the front of the lecture hall, her feet casually propped up against the desk next to the keyboard, Darcy kept herself engrossed in her book, her eyes focused and relaxed as she lazily kept note of all the students beginning to file into the lecture hall. Most of them arrived in groups, clusters even, congregating and conversing with friends as they arrived with nervous whispers. Some of them arrived with less people, or even solo; those were always the quieter ones, of course, but most of them were rather more wary of everything else that was going on. They were usually the monsters, as well; only the humans were prone to displays of such blissful ignorance and affability. The ones that knew of the world beneath their feet were usually rather more sombre. Except the werewolves, though; they were usually quite upbeat irrespective of the case. But it was always interesting to see who came and went, which monsters arrived and which didn't, whether there were more monsters this year or not. The fact that the human world was utterly ignorant to their cohabitation of this Earth with rather more dangerous species never failed to amuse her. But then again, she'd spent far too long removed from the human world to see most of them as anything other than ignorant babies. That wasn't grounds for ridicule, of course; simply careful treading. But where she knew every single student carrying the smell of humanity apart from the scent of monstrosity, most every monster that came through the doors did as well.
She hadn't been here a great deal of time; she couldn't be anywhere a great deal of time without raising suspicion about her eternal youth. But in the time that she had been here, she'd noticed a pattern start to emerge; some creatures hated her, some creatures feared her. Most often did both. But some seemed to be in awe of her, and others seemed to be utterly lost as to their perceptions of her. That was good; a single attitude about her was never good; made things predictable. Still keeping her eyes on her copy of War and Peace, expertly managing to capture every student's first impression of her that walked through the door as they made the assumption that she wasn't paying attention to them. Or the way that they stared at her chest. The morons were never exactly slick, but it was a wonder what thinking yourself free from repercussions will make you do. It was definitely a good way to get a feel for the students; some stared at her; one tiny human, she think, literally drooled when she saw her. Ego boost for sure, but useful as well. Then came the monsters. Some gave her a wide berth, some tried to get as close to her as possible. She knew what they were thinking, though; the most any of them would ever know about her was that she was a vampire. But a different kind of vampire; far more powerful, far more...dangerous. How they'd get to that conclusion, even they wouldn't know, but it was still nice to see her reputation hadn't diminished over time, even when they didn't know of it in the first place.
There was certainly a change in variation this year; a girl whom seemed rather unimpressive, an incubus that clearly thought they were smooth sending her a lustful wink as he walked through the door, making her fight the urge to shudder or even acknowledge his presence. She was pleasantly surprised by the arrival of the Wendigos; she'd always harboured a particular fascination for Wendigos. She faintly recalled when she torched a Wendigo and tore it to shreds back in 1907 to examine it out of curiosity; she struggled to remember being so fascinated for quite a while after that. A Blood High and an already injured Wendigo worked wonders for her, for sure.
Admittedly, her attention was caught when a couple of other vampires entered the hall; she had to struggle to remain appearing as if she didn't notice anything that came across her. Her sense of smell had only increased with age and skill, and she almost felt a shiver down her spine at the scent of these two vampires; both of them were younger than babes, hardly even alive. Granted, they weren't technically alive, but they were so young, so...fresh out of the gate. They had so much they had to experience. She was definitely still human when she was their age, and she thanked herself for it; being frozen in a body barely reaching twenty would certainly have its appeal, but it would certainly grow tiresome having to get ID'ed at bars all the time, not to mention having most of the world closed off to them already. She was lucky; she looked extremely close to her thirties, but the world would never accept respected academics or lawyers or doctors or politicians that looked like they were still in college. She almost felt pity for them. Almost. Especially the one that seemed to be avoiding her like the plague; the girl. The male seemed somewhat average as far as vampires went, but she'd heard about her since she'd been here, and she'd even seen her a few times, but she'd never been so foolish as to allow herself to be seen by the babe. Somewhat of a 'bad girl', from what she'd heard; preying on the weak and malleable minds of the foolish and the simpletons that hadn't even begun to experience what real danger looked like. She didn't blame her, of course; it was perfectly natural to create a persona of power, one that made you feel like you were important and strong. It was certainly amusing, but at the end of the day they were the actions of a child, actions that she would be content to allow to flourish as long as she didn't try to assert her dominance where she had none. That would not end well for her, but it wouldn't be the first time that she'd seen it. It was rare to sense a vampire with her potential, but time and time again, she had witnessed more powerful vampires than her taken down by the same brand of arrogance and hubris. She supposed that she would have to wait and see.
Now, most of the students had arrived. Looking at the clock on the computer out of the corner of her eye with her enhanced vision, she noted that it was extremely close to the hour, upon which time she would start the lecture with no exceptions. She's only been here for a few years, but she'd already garnered somewhat of a reputation for punctuality; you showed up on time, or you didn't show up at all. Some thought her a bit harsh when she extended this mantra to the freshman that didn't know of her, but if they weren't going to show up on time to the first lectures, then she didn't harbour much hope for them. Her time at Magdalen College in 1988 certainly resonated with her; more so than usual, she must admit. The dons at Oxford were quite prickly about punctuality and arriving on time, and she agreed. She felt it instilled a sense of discipline, if nothing else; she recalled Harvard being slightly more lax, but still quite strict. Of course, she wasn't a world renowned professor yet, and she would also have to leave relatively soon and start all over again, but she felt it prudent to give the best. If they weren't willing to, then they shouldn't be here, monster or not, gifted or not. Hearing the lecture hall quietly buzzing with casual conversation, she saw the clock turn to the hour out of the corner of her eye. The corner of her mouth turning up into an almost imperceptible smirk, she swiftly and loudly slammed the book closed, hearing the loud clap of the pages shutting with force and reverberating around the room, making almost half of the students jump in their seats as she put the book down and lifted her feet off of the desk, standing up to her full height and sharply surveying the room. Almost feeling every single one of the students squirm uncomfortably beneath her piercing gaze, she let her eyes wander over several of the monsters in deliberate acknowledgement before she opened her mouth.
"Hello, students of Introductory Mathematics!" she announced to the now quiet lecture hall, her tone charming and friendly as she morphed her face into one of amused concern. Almost immediately, she saw numerous students start to relax under her more convivial attitude. Her tone calm and confident, she continued, surveying the room and setting more students at ease almost at will with the seductive cadence of her voice. "Getting a bit real now that you're actually here, isn't it? I know what that's like, but don't worry; even with all of the studying and the stress to come, you'll still look as beautiful as me once you finally get through it all." she joked with a casual laugh, hearing the lecture hall ripple with good natured chuckles as yet more students continued to relax. It was the first IM lecture of the year, after all, and she was aware of what most of them were thinking; it was rather strange for someone to get to where she was at her age. The monsters knew why, but the humans tended to need good-natured ribbing about it; most of them let it slide, and it even gave most of them hope for the future that stress wouldn't reduce them to worn out husks by the end of academia, since a Doctor of Mathematics could look as good as her. She felt it provided a nice incentive, as well.
"Now, since it's the first actual lecture, most of you will have had some opportunities through the introductory period to get accustomed to the campus, but I also hope that most of you have taken the time to do the recommended reading that was suggested before you arrived. Have any of you done that?" she inquired innocently, raising an amused eyebrow. The responses were always the same; a mix of nodding heads, faces that suddenly turned white as they realised that they either forgot or didn't know there was any reading, and faces that tried and usually failed to look casually impassive to hide the fact that they had outright neglected to do it. It didn't really matter, but it was their future that they were throwing away. "Yes? No?" she spoke up innocently, scanning the room. Were she in their position when she was still alive, she would have done all of the recommended reading and far beyond by now; her enthusiasm would have taken over long ago. She almost felt the urge to cringe in disgust at the thought of such a lackadaisical attitude, but like always, it was squashed down in favour of genuine charm and confident friendliness, moving on to the next topic. "I know that most of this will be daunting, since it's a completely new environment and you'll be learning at a completely new pace, but there are some things I have to go through first." she continued, pressing keys on the computer and bringing up slides on a giant screen behind her, detailing to the students the various dates and times that they will have to attend over the course of the year, alongside the various assignments and percentages they will have to work towards. Already noting some of the uncomfortable and baffled looks of some of the students, she fought the urge to sigh in exasperation.
This was going to be a long year. Maybe at least some of them would prove to be interesting.

Lilly has been hearing rumours about how brutal this teacher is for the last few days from her friends. Upon seeing her now she can't really understand the animosity aimed towards her. She seemed pleasant enough and the work load didn't actually look that intimidating when mixed with her other class schedules. She had finished the recommended reading about a day after she bought her books for the class. The material wasn't exactly thrilling stuff but it wasn't hard to scratch out a few pages of notes on the pertinent sections. So she nodded her head as did a scattering of others. Lilly had always took to her education with a quiet determination. Her parents really stressed making a schedule that ensured she got ahead in work while not running herself ragged. To maintain her sanity and that she doesn't turn into a hermit, her and her small group of close friends get together every Sunday afternoon.
Overall Ms.Whitlock seemed to be pretty amiable so far. "As long as she remains as laid back as she is now I think this class will be pretty fun." She thought with a small smile. Once the professor had finished her introduction, Lilly raised her hand. She had a few questions about the syllabus that she wanted to get out of the way before they got into class today. She waited until she received a nod of acknowledgement from the teacher before lowering her hand. She preferred to always be respectful when speaking to instructors. "Ms. Whitlock, I was curious regarding some of the information in the syllabus. I was looking through it to see if we were allowed to email your school email any questions we may have regarding the material. However, I didn't see any confirmation as to whether or not that was allowed."

It took Ana a moment to realize that the incubus was addressing her. She felt his energy as soon as he entered the room, and perhaps if she were younger she would be more enamored but after a century of stumbling upon other monsters she'd become used to it she supposed? Although when he sat down next to her, right in-between her and the interesting human girl, the natural sexual tension her carried with him was heavy in the air. This was not how she imagined her first math class going but perhaps it was in her best interest to 'make friends' for the sake of studying. Ana wasn't sure if an incubus would be the best study mate but it was worth a shot. Just as she turned to him--his blue eyes were dazzling she had to admit--and opened her mouth to speak, her teacher slammed shut this huge book, immediately silencing the hall. Dr. Whitlock was a vampire who seemed to be even older than Ana was. Anaba could feel it in the energy she projected around herself, just like how the other two vampires in this class projected a youthful energy. As her teacher went into her little introductory speech Ana subtly tore off a bit of paper and wrote her phone number on it and a short message--"Let's study together sometime"--and then signed her name. She knew this incubus would get the wrong idea, but any message she gave him would give him the wrong idea so in the end it didn't matter all that much. Once her teacher's attention was focused on the other side of the lecture hall she placed the note on his desk, and readied herself to diligently take notes. The human girl had her hand raised as soon as Ms. Whitlock's last syllable of her intro was pronounced, and was quickly called upon. "She's a persistent one," Ana thought to herself.

Franky watches Ms. Whitlock with a guarded expression, this is the first time she has met the ancient vampire face to face, but is unable to work her out. She is good at reading people, some would say very good, but this one had hundreds of years to practice facial expressions and hide their true feelings, it is something Franky can't even hope to penetrate and analyse, she even wonders if she ever will.
When the book slams, many in the room flinch and jump, but she keeps her expression impassive as she can. The way she just commanded the entire room into silence with a simple move and no words already shows how much power she has over the students, the reputation proceeds her and people either respect or fear that enough to give their attention to her when she asks, or demands, it. Franky would be lying to herself if she didn't find that a little intimidating and instantly knew this isn't a place for her where she has an ounce of meaning. Franky loves her power trips, likes to assert it whenever she can and usually she can do it. This time? It would be an overly arrogant thing to even try to grab any control here, and that is why snarky remarks and verbally abusive attitude was left at the door. With her time defending for her life from hunters, werewolves and sometimes other vampires during her fight to survive, she is cautious, if incredibly arrogant and cold.
She read the books recommended. When you are a being incapable of natural sleep, you have much more time on your hands than humans do and it can be quite the task to fill in that empty time space. While part of her did out of her desire to learn everything, it was also done so she knew what was expected of her for the class, not wanting to hand a rifle to Ms. Whitlock and then painting a bullseye on her own forehead. She doesn't nod along with the other students, but makes doesn't silently panic, openly nor subtly, like those who didn't read it. The way she speaks in a charming and friendly manner is something Franky does whenever she wants to get something out of somebody and probably the only split second moment she could read the vampire. It is similar to her own style, but nothing in common with it at all at the same time. Hers was damn perfect, far exceeding Franky's own ability to charm which is already very well done, despite the ignorant and nosy little human from earlier but she will come around. The fact that her teacher is better than her in this specific skill frustrates and enlightens her. She doesn't like it when somebody does it better, but it means there are still ways to improve herself and be on the same level as her.
Franky holds back at rolling her eyes at the human from earlier instantly asking questions already. She would make an open remark for the professor and students to hear and call her out in humiliation as a usual thing for her to do to try hards, but her cautious instincts scream at her not to and doesn't make a sound as a result.
This class will be an experience for sure. Unknowing if it is for better or for worse.

A sigh of relief escapes Warren as Anaba walks away from him and Enola. He felt a mix of pride standing up to the beast, but also a weakness. This girl would destroy him before he had the chance to react if he wanted, why did he provoke her like that. He just felt so threatened, if he was by his lonesome he may have handled that better, but Enola was there. "I'm such an idiot she wasn't going to eat anyone here." He thinks too himself as he mentally kicks his own ass. "Fucking freak." He mumbles quietly as the girl escapes his view. "I'm sorry I dragged you into that." He says to Enola with his back to her, he whispers a bit even though no one was around he didn't want to say something others shouldn't hear. "She's a Wendigo, they are...disgusting. They kill and eat people, if..." He pauses a small anger in his throat makes it difficult to speak. "If I had my way I'd kill them all."
He turns around trying to soften his face as he looks at Enola. She is clearly distressed, something shook her was it his transformation? Guilt overwhelms him as he watches a tear fall from her eyes down her face. Pulling the left sleeve of his hoodie over his hand, he gently wipes the tear off her face. He's careful not to smudge her make up this time. "Hey hey hey," He speaks softly as if he was talking to a scared child. "Don't cry everything is fine, I'm sorry if I scared you. I just got worried is all, that Anaba girl is....something." His voice continues to be gentle, as he finishes drying her face he smiles at her trying to think of a way to make her feel better. "Hey please don't cry everyone is gonna think I broke your heart or something, think of all the rumors that'll get started." He chuckles trying to help, Warren was never good with people who were upset. Though his appearance wouldn't show it, internally he was awkward he didn't know what to do.
"Do you want to go somewhere and fix your make up? I don't have anything to do until our math class." He pauses remembering his truck was at the garage getting his brakes worked on and he won't be able to pick it up until later tonight. "Somewhere close by, I don't have my truck." He adds trying to keep the conversation going, keeping a friendly smile up. Looking around he inhales deeply, what a morning, it feels like every woman in this school has run into him today and he's exhausted already.

Carlos chuckled a little at the lecturer's jokes, mostly due to the fact that all the humans were thinking how young she was. He found it especially funny when he noticed out of the corner of his eye some kids staring at her breasts. 'Good thing they don't know how old she really is,' he thought to himself as he relaxed slightly in his chair. He remembered not to get too comfortable, seeing as how powerful she was, and the fact most of the vampires in the campus find him a disgrace due to running away from their stereotypical culture and all that. When she asked about the reading, Carlos nodded his head, remembering how long he had spent reading it and ahead. He had an unfair advantage, considering his tutors which felt it was necessary to teach him everything related to math and how he never needed to sleep. He had nothing to do that day, so he decided to read through the required reading and ahead, finding it easy to comprehend. He also was driven by the urge that wanted to not get on the bad side of an ancient vampire. He took ote of the slides coming from the screen behind her, trying to commit what he saw to memory. He kept his pen and notepad at the ready, watching intently for any further information.

Even though it was the first lecture already, the standards were pretty routine. She went through the introduction at first, detailing the topics and areas that they would be covering over the course of the year, and then moving on to assignment deadlines, percentages and expectations. She also managed to throw together some statistics detailing pass/fail scenarios over the course of the module; the course was undeniably difficult due to the subject matter, but the pass/fail stats were quite fair, in her opinion. Not a great many of them would fail, given that they decided to actually put the work in, although this was Introductory; in the legitimate course, it would be rather harder. But that wasn't the point of them being here, after all.
Coming to the end of the introduction, her smooth speech halted slightly when she saw a hand shoot up from the rows of people; numerous people following her gaze and the reason for her stopping mid-sentence, she noted the human girl from earlier earnestly raising her hand. Sending her a gentle nod of acknowledgement coupled with a reassuring smile, she noted everyone else look rather awkward at the mere fact that she had asked the question as the girl requested after contact details that she hadn't yet seen. Ignoring the various expressions of everyone else, she also expertly sidestepped the girl's mistitling of her; it had been quite a long time since she was a Ms. rather than a Dr., but she could hardly blame the girl for that. It wasn't like the honorifics truly meant that much to her, after all. They were simply titles; she'd let it slide, for now. It was hardly of major importance. Raising an eyebrow in amusement as the girl finished her question, a hopeful expression on her face as she ignored the looks from everyone else as well, Darcy simply kept her eyebrow raised in amusement as she clicked the spacebar on the keyboard and the next slide came into view, detailing both hers and the departments college emails and contact details, effectively answering the girl's question for her.
"Of course you can email either myself or the department at any time, should you wish to." she began, her voice becoming smooth as silk once more and easing some of the awkwardness in the hall. "I highly advise that you do, should you have any queries about anything, either material-related, or otherwise. Please don't hesitate; it is both of our jobs after all." she quipped dryly, earning another few chuckles from the hall. It was still rather entertaining to witness, sometimes; simply projecting an air of casual confidence and humour could do wonders. She didn't even think the quip was that funny, but she could see some of them were genuinely amused. Oh, what three and a half centuries of honing your skills can do. "Right." she spoke up once more, commanding the room into silence as she jumped onto the next slide, over with the introductory slides and moving onto the lecture material. "First topic of the year: Linear Algebra." she announced, almost cataloguing every single student that slumped their shoulders in either fear or reluctance to actually move onto the material. So, that was most of them.
---
The hour went by fairly quicker than she had expected; she was only touching on the basics for now, but still keeping it relatively challenging. It certainly wouldn't do to mollycoddle them at this early stage, or at any stage, for that matter. She kept herself confident and affable throughout the entire lecture; she spoke at the students, but she also engaged with them periodically, sharing several jokes and quips and making the entire atmosphere lighter. At this point in her life, it was more like a puppeteer pulling on the strings of their puppets, and how easy the strings were to pull to make everybody love her. Before the lecture had even gotten halfway through, she had enraptured most of the students; some of them were focusing on the material harder than they were or harder than one may expect them to, and almost every single student was hanging onto her every word, despite her words being about Algebra. Most of them already looked at her with awe at her character, but she also saw quite a few students looking at her with a bit more than awe in their eyes; she noted several crushes coming on. She'd definitely be lying if she said it wasn't an ego boost, but even after all this time, her appeal was undeniable. She recalled her early life, when her appeal was primarily physical in nature; she was hailed as a beauty then, but nothing else. Now? Now she had an undeniable power, a grace, an intellect that intimidated most everyone, according to the feedback that she had received. As narcissistic as it was, it certainly felt good to be revered so. Except when it went too far in vampire society, but that was besides the point.
"And on that note," she quipped after stressing a final mathematical aspect and making a point to look at the clock on the laptop. "It seems that we've run out of time for now. We've even run over a few minutes, but in fairness, we did spend about ten minutes at the beginning going over non-mathematical related things, so all things considered, I think we've done quite well for a first lecture." she announced, her tone self-assured and upbeat as she noted the disappointed looks of many students as they started to pack up, the silent lecture hall starting to rumble once more with movement. "Remember, it's best to start your studying right now, when you're ahead of it all and it comes to examinations. It is only the first lecture, but it never does well to be unprepared." she continued, having to raise her voice slightly in the face of the students getting up and readying themselves to leave, only staying where they were due to the fact that she was still talking. "Remember, if you have any questions, you can talk to me after the lectures, or you can come to my office during my office hours. But until tomorrow, have a fantastic day!" she ended with a cheeky grin, watching as many students returned her jovial sentiments before they all started to move towards the exits. Scanning the room once more as she took note of all of the creatures and humans currently leaving, she grinned again slightly at the prospect of things actually going smoothly now. There hadn't been a time when her charm hadn't been enough to soothe the most stressed of students or lecture halls, but there was a first time for everything. She was just glad that it didn't appear to be now. At least up until this point; even she didn't possess precognition, as much as some liked to believe she did.
Sitting back in her chair and propping her feet up against the desk as all of the students started to move to the exits, she reached over and picked up her book once more and returned to her page, awaiting any students with any queries of any kind and, barring that happening, her blissful ten minutes of silence before she had to go on the move once more. Even though it was the beginning of the year, she was looking forward to it.

Enola numbly listened to Warren as he justified himself while looking away. She didn't pay much attention to his apology, but the rest of what he said only made her feel worse. Suddenly, she began saying 'wendigo' over and over in her mind. She was pretty positive that it must be the name for whatever she and the other woman was. She'd heard the name before, but she knew nothing about what the creatures were. Warren's description of wendigos pushed her despair even further. It was obvious that she'd probably ended up with the worst possible outcome. The most troubling thing that came from Warren, though, was his proclamation of his desire to rid the world of wendigos. She couldn't really blame him, considering what she'd been turned into, but it seemed like she would ever be able to simply talk it through with him. The fact that she'd became the thing that her best friend despises weighed heavily on her. She decided that hiding her monstrosity from Warren was crucial from that point on. Eventually, though, she was able to push enough of the guilt from her mind to begin thinking of a plan. She needed to find Anaba and force her to tell everything that she knows about their kind. She seemed to know a way around murdering for food, so Enola needed to find her before the hunger becomes too severe. She had to make sure that her next meal wouldn't come from a living person.
When Warren turned around to look at her, she moved for the first time since the news was revealed. She looked up at him when he turned around, unable to hide the despair on her face. She obviously couldn't tell him why she was crying, but she wasn't able to come up with a lie this time. Instead, she remained silent as he began to try to comfort her. Paranoia caused her to flinch back when he brought his sleeve to her face, but she allowed him to dry her tears when she realized what he was doing. When he was finished, she sniffled and did her best to keep her face dry. She definitely couldn't let the makeup wear off, since she probably looked even worse beneath it at this point. She was relieved to find out that he thought that she was crying because he had scared her, so she decided to play along with that. She looked up at her friend with a worried expression, though she was led to believe that she probably more powerful than him at this point. Still, she needed to be convincing. She forced herself to look more relaxed after his comforting, acting like his words were calming her down from fear. "I'm sorry." She shakily spoke. "I just didn't really know what was happening. It looked like you were attacking someone for no reason."
She knew that Warren was probably pretty shocked at how she was acting, as he'd never seen her cry before besides fake tears. She'd always been able to show a certain strength before the new situation. She was worried that this would lead him to pry and try to find out if something deeper was wrong. She was too busy thinking to hear all of what he was saying, but she returned a small smile on cue when Warren smiled at her. She needed to stop seeming so distressed if she was going to remain credible. "Yeah? I think they'd be more likely to believe that you're my stalker or something." She smiled and forced herself to respond to his joke, but was still a bit shaken. She shrugged at him, trying to appear to be in a normal mood again. Suddenly, she gave him a serious look. "Just forget about that, okay?" She asked in a demanding voice, referring to her sudden emotion. She adopted a more comfortable appearance again, checking her makeup with her phone. She had to consider Warren's offer for a moment. She hadn't gotten any less hungry and she needed to talk to Anaba as soon as possible, but she was probably in class. It may be easier to just find her later. "Oh.." She checked the time before answering. She was beginning to feel more embarrassed by her fake justification for lying. She wasn't really the type to scare easily from something like that. Still, it was convenient lie. She made herself appear to feel uncomfortable for a moment before answering. "Uh.. Yeah, sure. Let's not stay too long at wherever we go anyway, 'cause I've got classes pretty soon."

"That wasn't too bad." Thought Lilly as she flipped through her new notes. Her pen had been in a constant state of motion since she had asked her question. She didn't show it but she had been in a state of mental panic when she realized she had just mistitled the instructor. "Luckily, she seemed not to take it very seriously. If Whitlock had wanted to, she could have torn me apart in front of the whole class. I bet that butch twat in the back would've enjoyed that." She thought as she put away her notebook and stood up. That hadn't been the only question she asked during the lesson. She raised her hand a few more times during the lesson when the instructor would pause and ask if anyone had any questions. She made sure to use the correct title this time. Most students simply nodded along as though they were mesmerized by Dr. Whitlock. Lilly didn't think much of it. Often students happily nod along only to find out they have no idea what the lesson was about when they have to do the homework. She did notice, however, that she got a few nasty stares from some of the more enamoured students towards the end. That she thought was rather odd, it was like they were annoyed that someone other than the teacher was speaking. In the end she thought the Dr. Whitlock was professional and a skilled instructor, but she didn't have quite the same infatuation that others seemed to have.
Since she was in the front row she didn't have much of a problem getting out before everyone from the other rows began to crowd the isles. She nodded politely to the teacher as she walked past, "I look forward to the next class, Dr. Whitlock." She said with a smile. She walked through the open door into the hallway, she stretched her back until she heard a satisfying pop. Her back had been stiff all day from constantly sitting down. She checked her phone and saw she had plenty of time to get home and get ready for work. Most of her other classes were on other days of the week or were already taken care of earlier today. She waved goodbye to a few of her friends who had just walked out of the classroom. "See ya guys, looking forward to Sunday." She called back to them. They waved back and replied, "Us to. Later Lilly."
With that Lilly started off towards the parking lot.

Frankie made necessary and crucial notes throughout the Lecture. The atmosphere was relaxed and the time went by quickly, the whole class was completely enamoured by Dr. Whitlock's words and they were in love with the sound of her voice. She was immediately jealous of this, her professor managed to get an entire room under a spell of charm and light hearted humour with her tongue of silver, it greatly outmatched Frankie's own abilities to charm and made them seem incredibly amateur in comparison. She did not like being out done, at all. But this also gave her some insight. This is an ancient vampire after all, Frankie could probably use her the knowledge she has gained from hundreds of years to further her own steps. Reach an equal level to her professor. She always wanted power, what better way to get hold of it than to seek guidance from one who has achieved a great amount?
But she must save this for another day. Her day at campus has come to an end and she has work coming up soon. She packs her stuff into her shoulder bag and makes her way down the the classroom and towards the exit. She sees the passive aggressive but dim-witted human exit. She spent most of the lecture asking questions which when thinking about it, were pointless since their professor covered those subjects eventually. The girl was over-eager, slightly impulsive and a wannabe teacher's pet. Honestly, Frankie couldn't stand her her type. But she will get her under her charm one way or another, she just needed a way for her to discover Warren's true nature and then the little human will realised that Frankie's warnings were entirely true... She inwardly grins at the image of the girl's face twisting into pale horror upon witnessing a beast of legend is in fact reality.
She leaves the class without a single word, leaving briskly and glad to have the rest of the day and the whole night in freedom. She makes her way to the parking lot and to her motorcycle. Frankie doesn't love much, living beings and inanimate objects included, but she really does love her Harley Davidson Softail, the only thing she kept before leaving her mortal life behind her. A gift from her boyfriend at the time, he was sweet for a hardened leader of a biker gang. It's a pity that he died at the hands of her turning phase. She puts the helmet over her head and kicks the engine to life, releasing a satisfying pur of power. She grinned behind her visor at the students ogling at the majestic beast of a machine as one of the more attractive students on campus saddles on top. She couldn't help but chuckle how easy it is to entice humans with a simple thing like a hot chick on a motorcycle. She gives a lazy salute to her audience before driving out of the parking lot and towards the garage, the owner mentioned to her there's a truck that needs it's brakes fixed up soon as possible since the owner wants to pick it up tonight. Not a problem for her.

Mallory returns to Campus. She made it in the butcher's with plenty of time to buy something. It took a lot of her willpower not to break out into a heavy sweat surrounded by all the meat. She made her purchase quickly and quietly, the shopkeeper is nice and knows she isn't very good with conversation, so he doesn't do much small talk. She knows that he wonders why a skinny little goth girl would buy almost daily from a butcher's shop. If he knew the truth, he would probably run her out of his shop. She brought a small package of ground meat and left in a hurry. It was the easiest thing for her to eat quickly, it wasn't too chewy and no bones. She felt embarrassed from her mouth almost watering as she made her way to a secluded area, that embarrassment only amplified when she devoured nearly three quarters of the raw meat in seconds of opening the plastic wrap of the package, she smudged her black lipstick and her fingers and around her mouth felt a thin layer of greade. She eats like an animal when starved and she couldn't do anything to hold back, she's a fucking freak... She could cry from the bizarre display she just did, even if she was the only one to witness this. But she has done it many times before and crying now will only make it much more of a task to reapply her make up
She took the time to clean up and reapply her make up and heads back to Campus. She never learnt how to drive, wondered if there was ever a point in bothering to do so now. She didn't have much energy to do anything other than prevent herself from going completely mindless from starvation and literally become like a zombie from the movies. She did her research and while it took awhile, found somebody with her same condition who explained what would happen if she went without meat for awhile. It scared her enough to never come close to that point, this is the only time it got this severe in months. She is normally good at keeping a routine, but today she slipped up and is mentally beating herself up over it.
She arrives back on foot and checks the time, she will have her advanced math class soon so she might as well head there early. She heard she had a professor for this one she didn't know much about. Little did Mallory know that her professor is actually a vampire, the monsters that always torment her and cause her to feel anxious every time. Blissfully unaware, she heads to class.

(OOC: Tom is fairly new to town and can only sense vampires and zombies so has no idea who any of the other monsters are)
Tome grinned as he picked up the note. Surprisingly only a hint lust coming from the girl next to him but he'd have time to work on that. Sitting back and listening to the lecturer he made sure to stretch showing off for the students he could feel staring at his back. This town felt like it was going to be fun.

Carlos' hand flew across his notepad, taking as many notes as possible. He was still a little wary of Dr. Whitlock, but her jokes and pleasant tone made it difficult. Once the lecture was over, he put his notepad in his bag and exited the uilding. Once he was outside he headed over to a nearby bench and took out a laptob from his bag and turned it on. He crossed his legs and laid back against the back of the bench. He had no more classes today so he was free. He opened up his email and noticed he had a new message. This one was from another student who was in the school newspaper, and was also in charge of making it digital as well. Her name was Lizzie, vut most of them called her Liz. He and the rest of his colleagues in the campus newspaper went through a lot of things together, so they all became practically best friends. They weren't the biggest group of friends, sure, but they were loyal. However he still never told them of his vampiric nature, and he hasn't told anyone about his old family. They were all humans, so they had no idea of him or any other monster in this school. He looked at the email, turning around when a beam of light hit the screen.
Subject: First Introductory Mathematics Lecture Article
Lizzie: Hey Carlos, the lecture's over, right? If so, we need you to write up that article about it! Also, don't forget that company trip we're having!!
Carlos chuckled at Lizzie's punctuality on her emails. He also looked forward to the trip that they were planning. It was exclusively for the Campus Newspaper students, and they had planned it out for days. Each one of them had saved up for this trip to really go all out with it. They were going to to go camping, but the woods around them were werewolf territory, so he had to convince them to go somewhere else. Eventually they decided on going to an amusement park together. All of them were excited for the trip, which they had chosen to be on their off-day so they don't have any classes. The amusement park was close by, so there isn't going to be that much driving. Carlos typed back his response quickly.
Carlos: You got it, Liz! And do you really think I'd forget the trip we'd been saving up for and planned out each single day? I may be forgetful, but not that much!
Lizzie: Lol. Fine, I'll stop bugging you about it. We're trusting you on providing food!
Carlos: Food? Fine. Just try not eating like a pig.
Lizzie: Go and make that article!
Carlos grinned as he typed back and forth with Liz, before reluctantly beginning the article. His fingers practically flew to each key as he typed up a summary of the lecture. A part of his job was to provide a slim chance of survival to students who couldn't attend for whatever reason, and to help others remember what was talked about in the lecture in case they didn't take any notes or lost them. How somebody loses notes they just took he had no idea, but he stil had to do it. He enjoyed being a part of the campus newspaper. Some may say it's a waste of time, but it looked good on a resume and it's fun. He felt a soft breeze come in, but he was too focused on his article to care.

Cass shifted her hair a bit as she posed for the camera with her math book putting a quick caption of ‘prepping for class’ with an exaggerated look before sending it to her friends. Some of the lucky ones were still on summer vacation, but a few were in their first week of classes too. It was nice to have someone going at the same pace at least, too bad most of her friends weren’t at New Haven. At least she had made some friends in the freshman dorms, her roommate was a bit on the quiet side, but that was fine, her neighbors were really friendly so far though so she’d probably be fine. She shifted through a few snap stories, the little notification of her friends snapping back drawing her attention back to the main screen to check them out.
She’d been reviewing some of her notes before lecture, but after glancing through a few times, she decided to just take a break and catch up with friends. It also helped one of her friends just got out of class so she knew she could bother her. Pressing the screen Cass opened her friend’s snap and laughed. ‘No bun today?’ her friend Sara asked. As tempted as Cass was to just wear her workout stuff and head to the gym after class she at least wanted to look nice for the first few classes. First impressions were important after all. ‘I wanted to look nice for the first day, first impressions and all that’ Cass snapped back, posing nicely for her friend with the bunny filter. ‘Now tell me I’m pretty’ she joking typed for the second picture as she opened her mouth slightly so the bunny teeth would sharpen and the eyes would go red.
Smiling to herself, Cass flicked the camera back to her face to check out her appearance again. Hair nicely straightened and laying how she wants it. Make-up? Perfect. Outfit, a fitted T-shirt, some dark jeans and nice boots. Casual, but nice. Teeth were clear and nails were still perfectly done. She got them done before heading down to New Haven and they were holding up nicely, not a chip or scratch anywhere. Smiling she eyed the incoming text from her mom checking in on her. She wasn’t even surprised as she recounted her morning classes for her mom and her boredom during her break. ‘Did you get to meet any of the boys yet?’ her mom typed back. Cass rolled her eyes, she would have told her mom already if she had seen them, besides she’d find them eventually. ‘Nope. I’ll probably catch wind of them soon enough,’ she texted back before checking the time. She should head to class. Packing up her books, she took a quick stretch before slinging her backpack on and heading to class. Occasionally looking down at her phone to see who was texting or snapping her as she headed towards the classroom. She’d probably get there on the earlier side at this rate, which meant she’d get her pick of seats. Perfect. She liked getting her pick of the second and third row seats anyway.

All things considered, today was a good day so far; granted, it had only just broke afternoon, but Darcy was feeling particularly positive about today. After a few students had stayed behind to ask her some questions, some of whom it was evident just wanted to talk to her, she was free until she had to provide several lectures to the advanced mathematical students. These were the students that were either capable of handling the advanced mathematics or were required to via their postgraduate goals, but those categories had never meant that much to her in the first place. To her, there were only two types of students; ones that passed, and ones that failed. Introductory versus Advanced didn't mean shit in the long run if the Introductory students were the ones that came out with a pass as opposed to their counterpart. A very final thought, to be sure, but one that she'd had time to dwell on during her time that she had to herself before she had to head back over to the other side of the mathematics institute.
She hadn't really done a great amount with her time, she had to admit. Merely retreating back to her office and working on some research that she was currently dealing with didn't exactly make for a great story, but the earliness of the year coupled with her desire to avoid people in general at this moment in time ended with her contently sitting silently in her office, headphones in her ears as she worked. After she had worked for a sufficient amount of time and kept checking on the clock, she decided it would do well to arrive earlier than usual. As was her prerogative as the lecturer, she mused as she fitted her laptop into her bag and raised from her chair, headphones still in her ears as she exited her office and headed towards the elevator, carefully ignoring most movements around her as she immersed herself in her daydreams, standing up on her tiptoes softly and humming with the music as the elevator door opened. Stepping inside and pressing the button for the first floor to catch a shortcut into the hall at the midway point, she fought the urge to snarl as three giggling girls stepped inside the elevator with her, their blonde hair almost whipping her in the face with their animated movements as they pressed the button for the ground floor. Well, at least she wouldn't be in here with them as long as she had to be, she mused as she stood wordlessly at the back of the elevator, her back pressed against the glass to get away from the incessant chattering and movements of the girls. As irritating as they were, she felt the feeling in her mouth with which she was all too familiar; her mouth drying, the soft skin of the girls' flesh shining brighter, the the heartbeat pumping the blood around their bodies almost audible from where she stood. It had been a while, she had to admit; she needed to feed, and soon. It wasn't something that she could spend time on deliberating right now, but it was something to definitely consider later tonight. Pushing the thoughts to the back of her mind, she felt the elevator stop, politely pushing her way through the girls as the doors opened and she stepped outside onto the first floor.
Turning left and heading down some corridors, she eventually came to one of the entrances to the lecture hall; definitely a short cut from the main entrance from the ground floor, she mused as she pulled the door open and walked through, coming out into one of the side entrances up the first set of stairs in the hall. Casting her eyes around the hall, she saw that for now, the hall was empty. She didn't expect it to stay that way for long, though; the Advanced students were usually the more eager of the bunch. Heading down the stairs towards the desk at the bottom of the hall, her mind began to cast back to the girls in the elevator. They were all blonde, athletic, outgoing...all good traits, all good traits indeed. Feeding from one of the college's students was always a risky move, but she lived for risks. And certainly defying them. She seemed the type to go out and party almost every night; it certainly wouldn't be unfeasible to bump into her somewhere and gain the trust of her inebriated state, leading her somewhere nondescript for a tiny bit. Tracking the victim's movements was imperative in order to retain anonymity, and effective feeding did often leave the recipients with a slight sense of amnesia; playing it right meant that she wouldn't remember a thing of what she'd been through. She'd go on with her night, while Darcy was left with a sated hunger, the metallic taste of blood still heavy in her mouth, her pupils dilated and her energy for the night fully rejuvenated. Who knows the next thing she'd do that night, or the next person. She was headed to Harvard in a few days for a lecture; she wasn't ashamed to admit that she was reveling at the prospect of meeting up with her blood sister once more. They always did better than feeding. It was exhilarating. Every time. Maybe they'd go even further. Maybe they'd-
-feeling a sharp pain on her outer thigh, she was snapped out of her thoughts by the pain and looked down instantly, grimacing slightly as she saw that in her daydream, she'd walked straight into the side of the desk. Taking another look around and thanking luck that she was still the only person around, she inwardly chastised herself. It really had been a long time since her last feed if she was daydreaming like that. But it mattered not, she mused as she walked around and propped her bag up onto the desk, taking out her currently closed laptop and starting to set up before the earliest of the students arrived.
Everything she desired would come. In time.

The sun had just began its slow westward descent when Lilly reached her truck. She hoped that it would still be light out enough for her to set up her stand after work. She had the pieces of it in the bed of her truck at the moment with the hood shielding them from any would be thieves. Some people say that she was paranoid for the way she always made sure her things were protected when she went anywhere. Her response to these people was always, "Have you seen the lengths people will go to steal the stupidest things? I have to at least give them a challenge if they're going to try to rob me." That usually earned a chuckle from her friends and an odd look from those who didn't know her.
She pressed the unlock button and opened the driverside door. She tossed her bag into the passenger seat and climbed inside. Another thing people asked pretty frequently was why a girl like her was driving a monster truck like the one she had. She admitted she must look quite the sight sitting inside her massive black 2015 Dodge Rebel. Her father helped her pay for it just before she moved out. It was practically her dream truck. She could take it anywhere and get back out just as easy. She pulled the door shut and put the key in the ignition. As she started her baby up, it's engines purring to life, she watched that girl from earlier peel off on her motorcycle. As much as she may hate Franky, she had to admit that the girl had some good taste when it came bikes. With that thought she pulled out of the parking lot and left campus grounds.
About fifteen minutes later she pulled into her apartment buildings parking lot. She pulled into her parking space that no one ever seems to take, cuts the engine, picks up her bag, and hops out. Her apartment building sadly did not have an elevator but she only lived on the third floor so it wasn't much of a walk for her. She unlocked her apartment door and immediately heard her Chevsky hop off of her couch and run to the door. She shut the door behind her and dropped her bag as she kneeled down to play with her hound. "Hey boy," She said scratching the East Siberian Laika behind the ear. He wagged his tail and licked her face. He was a big dog, one that had been used for hunting for centuries. His head and back were all black, whilst his neck and belly were white as snow. Today was a big test as to whether he could stay with her while she was at college. Usually big dogs like him needed lots of space and could get destructive when left alone. She was hoping that because she's trained him as best she could that he'd be able to behave himself. She glanced about and saw no obvious signs of destruction. "Have you been a good boy, Chevsky?" She asked as she stood up and walked around her apartment. Her kitchen and living room were connected and showed no major mess that her parents had warned her about. They both were as spick and span as they were when she left. Her bathroom and bedroom doors were still closed. Her loyal Chevsky followed her around the apartment as though to show he had been good. He panted happily coming to attention when his owner removed something from the cabinets.
Lilly held a big dog bone behind her back, "Sit Chevsky." He did as he was told and sat down. His nose sniffing to see what it was that she had gotten him. "Here ya go boy." She said before giving him the bone. He happily took it and jumped onto the couch with it. He was busy gnawing on his new toy while Lilly stepped into the bathroom and turned on the shower. Her body was simply running on autopilot as she cleaned herself up. Her mind replaying the days events at a dizzying pace. A lot of the people she had met so far had been really weird. Between the KKK guy, the insanely strong chick who used really weird insults, and the bewitching instructor, very little has made much sense today. Luckily, it seemed that the weirdness was confined to her math class for the most part. "That's a small price to pay I suppose. Could've been every class that's like that." Reluctantly, she pulled herself away from the warm embrace of the shower and back to her schedule. She dried herself off, tossed the dirty clothes in her hamper and slipped into her work uniform. The uniform was mainly just a t-shirt with the company logo on it, a hat, jeans and steel toed boots. The last piece was required for anyone working in the factory for safety reasons.
When she had stepped back into the living room Chevsky was still gnawing away on his bone. She whistled when she was at the door, "Come on Chevsky let's go for a walk." She said before checking her watch to see how long she had to run with her hunting dog. She didn't have to be at work for another forty five minutes and it only took five to get there. Should be enough to get everything sorted with Chevsky. Once the word walk had exited her mouth the big hunting dog was leaping off the couch to follow her. She latched a leash onto his collar and headed downstairs. Chevsky kept pace with her but didn't try to get ahead of her. Her father used to joke that he was her shadow. Out in the parking, Lilly was opening the passenger side door. "After you sir." She said with a laugh as he hopped inside. She got inside as well and headed out to the forest near her apartment. It wasn't anywhere near where the incidents were occurring but she preferred to not take any chances. She kept her handgun in the glove compartment in case she ever needed it. The air was starting to grow colder now that the leaves were changing. A fair few were already yellow and tan. Lilly played fetch with Chevsky after he finished his business until he started to get tired.
When she got back home and dropped Chevsky off she couldn't help but write off the townspeople's concerns about the forest being haunted as nonsense. She didn't feel particularly unnerved by the howling wind or the shadows the trees cast. Nor did it seem anymore malevolent than any other forest she's been in. "Ah well, their superstition is earning me an extra two hundred dollars when I bring down that bear." Checking her watch once more she decided it was time to head out to work. Once more she was on the road, however, this time to a much more dull but sweet smelling place.

"Why do I always have to be the stalker?" Warren fakes a pout as he is relieved that Enola is relaxing. He wasn't sure how much more sadness he could experience before he'd try to run away. "Maybe I should teach her more about our world." He thinks to himself hoping that a little knowledge would protect her. Just then he is snapped out of his head, by Enola's change in tone. "Oh, true classes. I'll walk you to your class at least, let me give you a small lesson on our...community." He says his face a little concerned, he grabs his backpack and follows Enola to her next class. After following her for a bit he begins to talk. "I've told you everything about us so, I guess I can tell you what I know about Wendigos." He says confidently, luckily any of the humans in the halls will either not be listening or think they are losers that are in the schools occult club. "They are really powerful, they can transform into hideous beast. Once one goes on a rampage its nearly impossible to stop." The halls were nearly bare as most of the students were in their classes. "They can be scary, but don't worry they are pretty rare. So she is probably the only one around here." He has a bit of confidence in that statement, there's no way another one of those animals would be in town.
After getting to her class Warren smiles and waves a little at Enola. "See you in math nerd." He yells out as he starts walking away, he sighs a bit. Unsure how to spend the rest of his time until his next class. He wanders towards the edge of the campus near the beginning of the woods, he feels the call. The wind speaks to him, as the smell of nature begs him to join them. His skin feels itchy his heart races, the call of the wild is intense. Its as if every part of his being is commanding him to come home. He decides to oblige his instincts, as he begins to jog into the woods, the world is at peace as he gradually begins to pick up speed running deeper and deeper into the woods. The birds sing songs the days were getting colder and soon they would all be migrating south.
The winter months were Warren's favorite time of year, the night comes faster he could run around the woods for longer. The cold doesn't bother him in fact he loves it, when the weather is so cold you can smell it. Lost in thought he slows to stop looking around to a normal human these woods would look the same, but he has run them since his first full moon at the age of twelve. His first turn the memories overwhelm his mind as he begins to relive those days.
"You can do it War." As the memory of a young Joey cheers him on with the rest of the pack. Everyone looked so happy and proud of their children, his mom was proud of Warren even if he didn't turn that night. His father wasn't present that night, some of the others were investigating a feral wolf was causing trouble. A feral was one who gave into the beast fully, truly wolves in human skin, and nothing more. Their feral nature made them more dangerous to the human population, so when one is discovered it is the duty of the local pack to hunt and kill them.
The Alpha known as Sarah Kline was standing near the giant bonfire they had created. There was always so much ceremony in the pack. Warren had wondered if other clans were that way, he's never interacted with a pack outside of his own. Sometimes a few members of other clans showed up, though it was for official business for Sarah only. Sarah stood by the fire her normally kind voice boomed through the woods, one were never guess she was the head librarian at New Haven University. Normally a quiet and reserved woman, with her red hair pulled into a tight bun, as a human she stood at five foot nine inches, she wore the thickest framed glasses. She always was one for cliches, she was calm and reserved woman, though that was all an illusion. Begin an alpha isn't just a title, it was an experience.
The legends say all lyncanthropy comes a single source, though many disagree who or what that original source was no one can say for sure. One thins is certain, the blood of an Alpha was more powerful than a standard wolf. The only way to become one is to kill one and eat their heart. Upon consuming the heart, the wolf quickly transforms into an Alpha. Growing to nearly ten feet tall, becomes stronger, faster and smarter. Now a days most packs no longer resort to such violence and have found new ways to pass on the line. In Warren's pack the Alpha chooses an apprentice, and slowly feed them its blood making them gradually stronger. Until the Alpha decides their time is at an end, and they willing end their lives in a ceremony, similar to a funeral. The apprentice then kills the Alpha with a silver dagger removing their heart. They then eat the heart, as the rest of the clan burns the body of the sacrificed wolf. Warren had seen this happen once in his life when he was a child. The Alpha before Sarah had been afflicted by grievous wounds from an extremely powerful vampire. Though the Alpha was able to slay the vampire, he was doomed to the same fate.
The pyre raged as the smell of burning flesh fills the air, a howl is let out from the crowd. A somber cry as they let their leader leave this world. Something comes over Warren at that moment his skin itched and burned as if it didn't belong. He fell to his knees scratching at his skin unable to find relief, he began to yell and cry for help. Then it happened, his fingers extended and turned to claws. His arms separate at the joints and become thicker and are covered in hair, his legs follow, and then his chest. Soon his mouth grows fangs and the transformation slowly becomes complete. A cheer comes from the crowd, as everyone notices Warren's first turn. The last thing Warren remembers is a proud look on the bloody face of Sarah.
Unsure of how long his trip to memory lane was Warren checks his phone, he still had lots of time until his next class. Unable to resist the itch he looks around one last time, and he begins to strip, not in the mood to ruin his clothes he places them in his bag. Feeling the air on his body he smiles, as he quickly starts to turn. In less than a minute he is fully turned, he stands near eight feet tall, his body is all muscle and fur. He lets out an excited howl and he charges into the woods, he runs through the trees dodging and weaving past them. Soon he hears smaller howls not far into the distance. A pack of grey wolves that live in these woods began running with Warren. Animals always loved Warren canines especially, they see and smell him as one of there. He spends the next while running and play fighting with the wolves, he gets a few scratches and bites here and there, though they will heal in time.
Eventually all good things must end, so he makes his way back to his belongings. He reverts back into his human skin, and quickly dresses himself. Grabbing his belongings he sprints for the school, his hair was a mess, there was dirt on his face and a little on his hands, but he didn't care. The smell of death was in the air again, he clenched his fist in anticipation of running into Franky he jumps out of the woods only to see Mallory a few feet ahead of him, slowing himself to match her pace he calls out to her. "Hey Mallory, its me Warren...you know from earlier. Heading to math? Mind if I walk with you? I'm on my way there anyway." He ask with smile his voice slightly out of breath, the bites and scratches still remain on his hands and face. Now they are scabbed and shrunken in size, looking more like he got into a fight with an adorable kitten instead of a wolf.

Mallory almost jumps out of her skin when she hears a voice near her, she was too busy in her thoughts to realise Warren, the boy who helped her out with Frankie, is now walking beside her. She shyly shakes her head, not minding at all that he walks with her. She doesn't quite look at him fully and definitely avoids any kind of eye contact, she isn't very confident with looking people in the eye when talking anymore. They walk for a few minutes in silence, in that time she looks at Warren's disheveled state. He has a few scratches on him, messy hair, dirt on his face and out of breath. He looks almost like he got mugged. Mallory doesn't know of Warren's lycanthropy, she likes to stay closed off from everything and as a result, knows as little as possible about her fellow students.
They walk some more in silence. She should say something... She's not only making it awkward for her, but for him as well. So she should speak, even if she doesn't want to. "Thanks..." She says in a voice so gentle and soft that it wouldn't have been heard if the atmosphere wasn't as silent as it is. "With Frankie, I mean... you really didn't have to." she looks at his direction as she speaks, but not towards his face, her shyness and lack of confidence very visible. She felt rude when she just ran off like that, but she didn't want to be around campus incase she started to rot. That wouldn't have been a pretty sight for anybody to see... still, she wasn't raised to not show her appreciation for people's actions.

The walk with Mallory couldn't have gotten anymore awkward than it already has. Mallory seemed to ignore Warren, "If she doesn't want to talk, there's nothing I can do." He thinks to himself enjoying the weather he barely pays any attention to the shy girl. Watching some of the students leaving for the day, going about their lives, Warren wondered where the parties were going to be this weekend. His mind traveling to how he was going to get his hands on booze, and how he was going to sneak out. Having a cop for a dad made things hard enough, but werewolf parents are surprisingly good at tracking down misbehaving children, and with the added fact that most of his friends also had werewolf parents made things even harder. Suddenly his ear twitched if it wasn't for his keen hearing he may have never heard the undead girl speak.
"No worries, I hate when people pick on others for no reason." He smiles warmly at Mallory noticing her going out of her way to avoid eye contact he looks ahead hoping that will relax her. "Just because Franky is a suck head doesn't mean she can do what she wants to anyone, even un..." He pauses for a second catching himself, this girl clearly doesn't want her secret out, he kicks himself internally, "Not everyone is open to who they are." He thinks to himself, before he speaks again. "even people like you. The kind, type I mean!" He blurts out trying to cover for himself, hoping she doesn't get a weird idea. "You seem nice is what I mean. If you were a complete bitch like her, I may have been a bit slower helping out." He chuckles a bit trying to save this conversation. "So, math class...." The awkwardness has consumed Warren mind body and soul. "You any good? I guess I've always been good at it, I just want to play hockey, but mom says I got to get a real education. In case I get hurt or something." That's what she told him, but the truth was he was a werewolf what if he had a game on the night of a full moon, how would he be able to cover that up. Sadly the life of the modern werewolf is, getting a desk job, marrying another wolf, having a few pups and retiring in the same small town you were born in. Well that's not entirely true, but that's how it feels, he sighs slightly to himself hoping Mallory didn't notice.

"I'm sure she has her own problems going on.." Mallory responds quietly, referring to Frankie. "My mum always said that people usually bully others because they're insecure about something going on in their own lives.." That was one of her best and worst traits, she always tried to see the goodness in everybody even if that person is malicious by nature. Frankie was very intimidating when she picks a target, preferring to tear them apart mentally over physically. It makes Mallory wonder what her issues are that made her so cruel. Then again, all vampires are cruel in some way...
She turns her head to Warren when he almost utters the word undead. He knows? But... How? Now she feels really insecure, her hands gripping the straps of her bag tightly and her eyes look down to the floor. She thought she was doing well to hide it, vampires always knew what she was because they seem to be able to 'sense' an undead as if they have a distinguishable thing about them. Warren didn't look like a vampire nor an undead, his skin is a healthy colour and his body is in good shape too. Oh goodness, she's checking him out unconsciously! She immediately turns away, praying that he didn't notice. She didn't mean to, she was just... looking to see if he was one of her or a vampire... It was innocent, right? God if there was any blood in her body, her face would become bright red right about now. Luckily, Warren seems to drop the subject of her current state as if he never knew. She silently appreciates this, it's not something so easy to talk about...
She is suddenly becoming overwhelmed by the conversation as it continues. What is she supposed to say? She can't give one worded answers, that will make it awkward again. She's starting to feel some regret speaking first, this is the first time she has ever spoken to a student longer than five seconds since being here and she has no idea what to do. Well, she started this so she has to commit.. He asked about maths and if she's good at it... Let's start there. She nods her head, but that can't just be her only answer so she forces to add some words. "Yeah... Maths has always been pretty easy for me. Neuroscience is my major though... I need that for medical school." she says with a tiny smile, almost unrecognisable.
There, that was good! Sure, she stuttered here and there but she didn't fumble over her words and . It reminds her when she had that wonderful charm in social situations about her and is happy some of it lingers enough to still speak half decent to a stranger. She should force herself to converse more often... Maybe regain that confidence... Maybe...

Work was, well, it was agonizingly dull if Lilly was being honest. Her job consisted of looking from one line of identical chocolates to another in rapid succession to look for abnormalities. Most she saw got tossed into a bin that was beside each conveyor belt. Others simply got knocked off of the belt and the janitor would come to throw them away sometime after his shift. Those that went into the bin were used in the oatmeal cookies that the company made (Actually true). The ones the janitor picked up were put into a separate bin and shipped off to be used in animal feed (also true). The management had to allow for people to listen to music during this part of the job because people were getting so miserable that they quit. She remembered the hell shift when she had to sit atop an elevated platform and just watch things go by with a button beside her that would shut down her line. She only had to do that twice so far but God was it even more unbearable. When you have that position you can't sit down or move, you just have to stand and watch, for hours.
She had seen people simply tumble off of the pirch and onto the line. It was only during the night shift that that had happened though. It wasn't too high up so they weren't usually injured too severely. Unlike that poor bastard who fell in the boiling chocolate vat in 2009. That gave her chills just thinking about it. The longer she worked there the more she heard about similar incidents. A woman was minced in a similar vat in Russia in 2016. At this point she had practically sworn off candy altogether. The magic of it completely ruined for her.
As she switched from belt to belt her mind kept creating more gruesome images for her. That was probably the worst part of the job. Because the job was so simple she didn't have to think about what she was doing. Instead her mind wandered from subject to subject. Sometimes these subjects were terrifying and left her feeling weird for the rest of the shift. Most of the time however, she worked on the campaign she had been writing for the last few months. Her players had just defeated Varsisk, a blood cardinal of the demon Prince Damien. They were recovering in the local tavern at the moment. Their cleric, Shayne, was killed in the fray which had the group pretty emotional by the end. She felt bad for that but that was part of the game. She'd been texting her friend Felix, about what character he wanted to reroll as, if they didn't resurrect Shayne.
Before she knew it her replacement arrived to take her spot. She had been so wrapped up in her D&D campaign making that she almost didn't notice them. "I know the job is boring Lil, but I didn't think it was that bad." Came the chuckling voice of her colleague. "Sorry, I was lost in my own mind for awhile there. Thinking about that campaign I'm working on. You should think about stopping by for another guest appearance. The audience really seemed to enjoy your Dragonborn character." She said mentioning the small audience they've gained from streaming the sessions. He scratched his chin, "I'll have to check my calendar but yeah if I'm free I'll be sure to stop by." She nodded and headed to punch out. "Alright man. Shoot me a text if you're up for it. See ya." She said with a wave goodbye as she stepped outside.
The sun was beginning to dip a little lower in the sky.

Carlos let out a sigh of relief as he finished typing up the article for the newspaper. He sent it in an email to Liz and shut down the laptop. He looked up, noticing that the sky was darkening already. It seemed he spent more time then he though he would. Noticing not too many people, Carlos walked calmy to the parking lot. His car was right in the corner, still relatively clean. It was a dark red color, and looked quite quant from the outside. He had worked hard for it, and he was proud of hat he managed to purchase.
Carlos took out his keys and unlocked the door as he got closer, and slid right in. He closed the door and started the car. Taking a quick glance behind him, he deove torwards the road. There wasn't that much traffic luckily, so he was able to get home quickly. He glanced at the time and went inside. His home wasn't the fanciest thing imaginable, and to be fair it was a little empty. He promised himself in his mind that he'd make an effort to spruce up the place as he walked torwards his room. He passed by the kitchen, which was mostly for show considering his particular diet. He set his bag on the bed as he relaxed for a few minutes on the bed. While he never slept, he kept it there for three reasons. One being it came with the house and he'd rather not go through the hassle of taking it out. The second being it would be weird to not have a bed, and the third being it was comfy.
With a sigh, Carlos got up as an alarm began to ring. He picked up his phone and swiped, banishing the repetive noise. It was the alarm for his job at the grocery store. While it wasn't the most thrilling job ever, it got him paid and further distanced him from the snobby, rich lifestyle he once was supposed to lead. He moved to his car and ve torwards the grocery store he worked at.
Once there he punched in and put on his uniform, a white and green shirt with the store's logo on it and a hat, in the locker room. He then went to his section and waited or a customer to come. He was mindful of any vampires coming in, wary of them trying to insult him about is "commonfolk" job or whatever. He never really cared for being popular among their crowd, but it disrupted his customers so he intends to avoid it. He'd be lying if he said that it stung slightly, but he had gotten used to it up to a point where he was barely phased by it. Finally a customer came through, carrying a mountain of cans, bags, and random stuff in. Carlos straightened up as he noticed the lady coming in. Getting a closer look at her face, Carlos could determine she was around her late 60s. "Oh, hello..." She leaned in a bit, trying to catch a glance at his nametag. "Carlos! Yes, that's right. I'm just buying a few things for my granddaughter. You see, it's her birthday today!" Carlos struggled not to roll his eyes as she said a "few" things, but he looked at her interested. While some dislike these types of customers, the ones that feel it is necessary to say their life story when they buy something, he enjoyed their stories. It kept the job from being too boring. "Oh, is it? How old?" Carlos asked as he scanned the items, with a gentle smile on his face. Soon enough, the lady revealed to Carlos what her name was (it was Gloria), her granddaughter's name and age, where she lives, and her entire family history. Finally, he finished scanning all her items, and waved goodbye to the pleasant old lady. He noticed a w more customers, thankfully with less items, heading his way. Carlos stretched his fingers, ready to do his job.

Warren can't help, but smirk at Mallory looking him over for a second, and then immediately looking away embarrassed. "I still got it." He jokingly thinks to himself, a little bit of vanity rushes over him. He checks himself out a bit noticing his hands dirty, the cuts have nearly completely healed already. "Damn mutts." He mumbles to himself quietly, he swings his back pack off his shoulder and starts digging through it. "Wow med school, and I thought I was smart, you must be a genius." He pulls a bottle of water out of his bag along with a small towel he uses during workouts. Opening the bottle he pours it on his hands and starts wiping them down with the towel. "Being a doctor is cool, I'll probably be the accountant of someone successful." He lets out a sarcastic sigh, as he cleans his face. "How do I look?" He winks at Mallory playfully, she's easily flustered and Warren thinks that's kind of cute. The small cuts are completely gone, thank goodness he was a fast healer.
He takes a sip of the water, gargling it a bit he spits it out away from Mallory. "So where are you from, I catch a hint of an accent there. I was born and raised here in New Haven." He looks at Mallory trying his best to keep the conversation going, Warren had a bad habit of forcing people out of their shells, and poor Mallory was on his list now. "The Di Wulf's have been in New Haven before there was a New Haven. My great great granddad built the home we live in, of course back then he was the crazy hermit that lived in the woods and would show up at the trading post to sell deer skins." He runs his slightly wet hand through his hair. "God I'm lame talking to you about the history of this stupid town." He chuckles dripping with charm he smiles at her. "Tell me when to shut up or I'll talk to you all day." He jokes, but he feels like that might be a serious threat to this girl.

As soon as class was over Ana practically bolted out of her seat and made her way towards the exit. Stopping in a nearby restroom she changed into her hospital uniform, unable to contain the smile on her face. Working at the hospital, while it proved to be a daunting as she tried not to eat anyone that was still alive, was wholly rewarding in the fact that she could eat practically as many unidentified corpses as she wanted. In moderation of course, can't arouse too much suspicion. In a way, it was nice to talk to some of the elderly patients when she brought them new flowers, meals, or changed their bedpans. They lived closer to the time when she re-entered society for the first time. Most of them had wonderful stories about the protests, Woodstock, and all of those wonderful things Anaba had found herself drawn to in the past. Exiting the bathroom, she straightened out her uniform and began a brisk walk across campus to the university hospital. There was a slight wind now and it felt good for a moment on Ana's already cold skin. She thought she spotted Warren walking with that undead girl from earlier, and dutifully kept her distance, instead taking the slightly longer route to her destination. In about ten minutes she found herself inside the hospital, greeting her coworkers as quickly as she could. She didn't particularly like mingling with them; she hadn't adjusted to the colloquialisms of this century yet and talking to them only further proved that fact further. Besides, to them she was just the creepy volunteer who enjoyed helping out in the morgue.
Swiping her ID in the elevator Ana was granted access to the lower floors and soon found her in the poorly-lit if not a little dank hallway leading to the morgue. After entering the office of the coroner, Anaba found that she was just left a note with some small tasks to complete because Dr. Campbell had to travel to the next county over for a second opinion on a case of some sort. After placing her things neatly on a small table designated as hers, Ana set to work with the mostly clerical tasks such as reorganizing the file cabinet, making professional calls for the doctor, and checking the inventory of his various supplies and getting more if necessary. Overall it only took about an hour and she smiled devilishly as she approached the cooler where the bodies were kept. Pulling out the doctor's records, she located the ones that were going to be cremated on the public's dime in the next couple of days. Taking out a knife, Ana quickly and expertly took off a few pieces no one would miss and then stitched the body back up, knowing Dr. Campbell would never notice. She couldn't help but scarf down a few pieces right then and there, but eventually was able to practice some extreme self-restraint and put what remained inside some tupperware to add to the small collection at home in her fridge. With that finished, Ana returned to the upper floors and completed her rounds with renewed vigor.
Soon, her wristwatch alarm went off signaling the end of her shift. Grabbing her things she headed outside, seeing the sun begin to set she began the longer walk to her off-campus apartment. Once she was able to get to the more deserted part of her journey, Ana broke out into a dead sprint, probably little more than a blur if a human were to be around to watch. She used to be faster when she kept up a heavier and more steadfast diet but now she felt slow, even though comparably she was probably one of the fastest monsters on this campus. Within moments she was in front of her apartment building, not winded in the slightest. She began the short trek to her apartment on the second floor, already hearing the dog upstairs start whining and growling at her presence. She never saw many of her neighbors, she imagined the strange hours she usually kept prevented her from doing so. Once inside her apartment, looking over the barren landscape. All she kept inside it was a couch, a dining table, and a framed map of the area. Aesthetic and practical. In her bedroom all that was there was her bed and a standing lamp. Ana slid her leftovers into the fridge and sat down on the couch, beginning her nightly ritual of pulling out her laptop and began surfing this thing called Youtube. She was trying to not think of the hunt she had planned for tonight, because she had made a promise to that one plucky werewolf and despite her obvious desires, wanted to keep it.

Cass maneuvered herself through the building, checking her phone every few steps as it buzzed from different friends popping in and out of class. Cass focused on the pictures and tried to navigate the halls of little faster as she walked. She could pick up the smells of other monsters that must have been through recently, but she was trying not to focus on it. A vampire must have come through recently since it reeked like the dead, but she did her best not to think about it as she pressed her wrist to her nose for a second to take in the scent of her lavender lotion she’d applied earlier. She’d dap some more on when she got to class. It was one of the few things that helped block out some of the other scents at least. Having a sensitive nose could certainly have its perks, but magnifying gross scents wasn’t one of them right now.
Removing her wrist she typed out a quick response to her friend and tried to find the end of the hallway. It smelled like something dead had been wandering around. Probably a vampire, she hadn’t been around that many, but she certainly didn’t forget the smell of them. She just wished the smell wasn’t getting stronger the closer she got to her classroom. Brushing her hand through her hair again, she took one more subtle sniff as she followed another student into her classroom. Human and wearing too much cologne. She wasn’t sure if that was better or worse as she eyed the classroom. Most of the seats were unclaimed with only a couple students in the room including the one she walked in with. Well she wasn’t sitting with him unless she wanted to gag her way through lecture that was for sure. The other kid was hunched in the corner with grease hair and headphones already jammed in his ears. How did someone not care enough to let that happen? It was disgusting and she wasn’t sitting anywhere near them. Barely hiding her disgust, she turned towards the front of the room and away from the other students. At least they congregated farther away so she wouldn’t see heads or tail of them during lecture.
A few steps towards the front rows and she could at least confirm where the heavy smell of vampire was coming from. Cass eyed her professor for a moment as she took in the scent before turning down the third row to take a seat and dropped her bag light, wasting no time as she fished out one of her moisturizers. There were a few different scents in her bag, maybe a nice vanilla scent to go with the lavender lotion she’d put on earlier. Setting her phone on the table she eyed the new incoming texts, while rubbing in the lotion. The smell hit her nose almost instantly in relief. She was so glad sniffing one’s hands after rubbing in lotion was a thing, because she was really looking forward to it. Sure the smell in the room wasn’t that bad, but why force herself to endure it if she didn’t have to? Besides her lotions smelled way better than anything else here.
Another buzz from her phone had her picking it up to answer texts and snaps again, it certainly helped give her something to do while she waited for class to start. Opening up snapchat she flicked the camera facing away from her towards her professor, but posed herself and angled the camera as if she was taking a photo of herself. She smiled and clicked the button, the phone silently taking a photo as she started captioning ‘Now I know why math’s such a dry subject. Someone had to suck the fun out of it’. Several bad vampire jokes in the group chat later and she was trying not to laugh, but she couldn’t stop the grin on her face at a few of the better insults and jokes being passed around. At least this was better than sitting around in silence until class started.

Mallory just smiles slightly at the compliment, looking away from Warren so he doesn't see. She hasn't received any since her revival. Her family except for her mother and aunt disowned her in her undead form and said less than pleasant things her way. It still stings to this day. Family meant everything, having them abandon her in her most desperate moment is a fate worse than death. Hearing it feels her with a pleasant warmth. She looks over him when he asks her how he look and shrugs awkwardly, unsure what she should say but she knows whatever she says will just embarrass her further. This is one of those moments where silence is the best answer, at least for her...
"London. It's where I grew up." Mallory says fondly, remembering some pleasant memories when she was growing up. "I spent most of my life there, had some great memories and friends. Never thought I would move away until..." her words trail off with a frown. until that drunk driver crushed the life out of you. She thinks to herself. Damn it she was getting more confident! She was starting to have a real conversation until she reminded herself of that.
The rest of the walk to the class room is in silence. She turns to Warren, not quite looking him in the eye. "Thanks for walking with me... Not many do, but thank you." She admits softly. She hopes she sees more of him, he seems nice. Perhaps she could make a friend during her education here and it won't feel so lonely, he certainly did a good job at penetrating through her shyness and getting her to talk in more than one worded answers... She makes her way into one of middle rows of seats. She can pay attention to her tutor and keep a good distance still, it probably does nothing when others look at it but for Mallory, it does a ton of good for her composure and anxiety. She pulls out her notebook and waits for the lecture to begin patiently.

Warren lets Mallory talk as much or as little as she wants, he notices her embarrassed smile, but he lets it go. She's sensitive either because of her condition, or something else. Not trying to push her to hard, or else she'll run away. She reminds him of a hungry frighten kitten, it requires a gentle hand to convince this stray not to leave. Out of kindness he lets the rest of the walk remain silent, a strong scent carries from their class down the hall. A mix of scents, some nice some awful, and one unfortunately familiar. The stench of death is masked well, but its there Warren scans the classroom. He nods politely at Mallory as she walks to her seat. One of the humans needs to learn that cologne is a poor substitute for a shower, closing his eyes for a second as he focuses on the smell. It lingers slowly, but directions him towards the teacher. He turns his head and smiles politely at her. He nods again keeping his smile genuine, even is she's a sucker no point in pissing off your teacher. He looks around the room trying to find Enola, she isn't here yet so Warren begins to look for a place to sit for the both of them. There's a girl in the third row that looks oddly familiar. After staring for a moment suddenly a light bulb goes off in Warren's head. He pulls his phone out and starts scrolling through a few messages from his mom. Eventually he stumbles upon a picture of this girl 'Cassidy Reed' was her name, mom said he had to be nice and help her get settled since she was a long way away from her pack. The only thing he was told about her was that she was good looking and rich. The former was certainly true so the latter might be as well. Warren starts to walk towards her his cheerful smile present on his face, hoping to make a good impression while also texting Marco and Joey. Guys I found the exchange student. -War Which one? -Marco Cassidy. Dude she's hot too. -War Pic pls -Joey Yeah take some creep shots for us...SMH Joey -Marco LOL chill dude was a joke -Joey I'm on fire with the ladies today lol -War ?!?!?!?!?! Since when? -Joey Since birth bitch. Gonna talk to her now tell you guys how it went later. -War DIBS! -Joey You can't call dibs on someone you never met pendejo -Marco Warren's phone keeps lighting up, but he decides to ignore it. Those two will just go back and forth and he doesn't feel like getting caught in the shade being thrown. He approaches Cassidy he sits down next to her and introduces himself. "Hey are you Cassidy? I sure hope so or otherwise I'm gonna come off as a creep." He smirks with a light chuckle as he continues. "I'm Warren Di Wulf, my mom says I have to be friends with you." He fakes a pout as if the request is such a chore, he grabs his notebook out of his bag and places it in front of him. "Welcome to New Haven." He says in fake boredom, complete with sarcastic jazz hands. "My mom says you should come over tomorrow night. Sorry, I'm jumping the gun we only just met and I'm trying to get you to meet my parents." He has a sly smile as he raises his hand to cover his mouth finishing his act of mock embarrassment. "Seriously though I guess I lucked out with you being in one of my classes, I was worried I'd have to run all around campus to find you." He says as he begins to scribble a note down on a piece of paper, 'We're friends now Mallory you don't get a choice in the matter! Here's my number." folding it into an airplane and tossing it gently at Mallory. It lands a little short from his shot, as it slowly falls and bumps her in the back.

Cass glanced up when she heard her name called by… whoever this chatty weirdo was. Warren? Cass watched for a moment as he continued speaking, her face remaining composed as she watched him try and run through some sort of comedy bit before pelting someone in the head with a piece of paper. Charming. Cass resisted the urge to roll her eyes and instead smiled politely. “Yeah, it’s nice to meet you,” Cass started forcing a cheerful friendliness into her voice, “I heard you and a few of the others went here, I figured I’d run into you all eventually,” she continued with a light hand wave and a laugh, locking her phone so the screen went black as she talked. It continued to buzz, but she left it in front of her, screen facing down so nothing could be read.
She could at least smell that he was a werewolf, unfortunately she wished that was the only thing she was smelling. Normally she didn’t make a fuss about what people ate, but when you kept bits of it on your shirt for the rest of the day, people notice. The scent of pizza sauce, though a little old, definitely clung to him and a subtle appraisal of his outfit showed exactly where the smell was coming from. It didn’t even look like he tried to get it out. Cass kept her polite smile fixed. The full moon was tomorrow and she needed to know where she was going. She’d deal with pizza boy later. “So where should I head tomorrow night?” Cass asked, plucking up her phone so she could take down an address or number or whatever. Maybe if he didn’t have something stuck under his nails and didn’t smell like he took a dirt bath with wild animals before class she might have handed it over, but she wasn’t about to do that so easily now. She really hoped all the werewolves here weren’t like this. She’d play nice for now so she didn’t need to scramble come the full moon, but she really hoped the rest of the pack weren’t slobs like this.

As the class that Warren walked her to came to an end, Enola wrapped up her part in a conversation that she was having with a group in the back. She was having some trouble concentrating on either the lecture or her classmates, considering how everyone was starting to look more like food than people. As her concentration was slowly slipping, some strangeness was noticeable to those around her at this point. The shakiness from before was becoming more difficult to hide and she was unable to maintain her usual charm. The people who she talked to were also a bit concerned by the fact that she was acting a much more agitated than usual. The hunger kept her from realizing that these things were even happening at all. Still, since most assumed that she'd gotten ill, she was mostly successful in her attempt to blend in to the conversation. She was also able to salvage her makeup earlier, so she still looked good enough. The hour had been a bit of a struggle, but she felt that she still had enough strength to make it through the class with Warren that would come right after it. She had gone without food for a longer period of time once, so she felt that it would be fine as long as she found Anaba before the day ended. The pain was getting worse and worse, but she could manage for a while longer. Unaware of the increasingly negative effects that her hunger was giving her, she decided that she'd be fine for the duration of the next class.
Someone she was talking to before tried to ask her something and drag her into another conversation as the class filed out of the room, but she ignored them and immediately started on the path to her next period. She kept her head down and quickly walked down the halls, denying any of her friends who noticed her the chance to talk to her. She did her best to make it appear that she was simply in a hurry to arrive on time, which was actually true considering the distance between the two classes. She'd start actually trying to act normally when she arrived to the next class, but she was much too exhausted to put forth any unnecessary effort at this point. She felt that she had enough energy for one more conversation with Warren or others before she'd have to begin the hunt for the other wendigo.
She eventually walked into the class with a few minutes to spare. She was about to take a seat at her usual chair beside of Warren, since he was the only person in the class who she really talked to, but noticed that he was talking to an apparently new girl. She considered sitting in her usual seat anyway, since it would be an excuse not to talk to anyone, but decided to take another free seat near them and join in. If anything, the conversation would at least take her mind off of the pains. Warren appeared to be talking to the new girl with an odd sense of enthusiasm and familiarity, but she seemed less thrilled. As she approached the two, she wondered if he was making a failed flirting attempt and smiled at the thought of it. The exchange student seemed respectable enough to require a good first impression, so she took care to fix her hair back to the style it was in before she let it go a bit. She smiled between the two of them and lowered herself into a chair next to them. "I see you're already attacking the new girl." She said playfully, smirking at Warren. She turned her gaze over the the new girl, unsure of her name. "You don't have to worry about hurting this guy's feelings. He's used to being denied by now."

Warren was taken aback by Cassidy's disinterest, she seemed bored with him already. Unsure of what to do since he's never struck out so fast in his life he begins to scribble down the address of the lodge the pack likes to gather in on full moons, or any other official business. He adds his phone number to it as he rips the paper from his notebook and places it in front of Cassidy.
Suddenly he notices her nose twitch curious he follows her eyes and spots the mess all over his shirt. Embarrassed Warren begins digging through his bag looking for his towel. "That's embarrassing." He comments out loud in a neutral tone, while internally cursing himself and threatening to kill Joey. "I swear I'm not normally this much of a mess." He pleads as he pulls the still damp towel and begins to scrub his shirt. A moment later he feels confident he's cleaned up, folding the towel neatly into his bag he sits back up. Remembering the awkward talk he had with Mallory just moments ago it felt weird to be the cause of the silence. Things like this never happened to Warren he was completely out of his groove now and was thinking of an exist strategy. "So yeah that's the places and my number in case you get lost or need something. You can head there whenever you want there is always someone there."
Just then as if delivered by God himself his escape route appeared in the form of Enola. She starts to head to their usually spot Warren smiles as he's about to attempt his getaway...until Enola sees him and walks toward them. "No no no I need to get away Enola what are you doing..." He pleads in his head begging her to stop what she is doing. "Enola if you have psychic powers now is the time to use them."
His prayers falling on death ears Warren keeps his smile on even though he's dead inside. Enola sits down next to him and the teasing begins, hopefully if he teases back he can get back into his groove and salvage this first impression. "Enola this is Cassidy she's new in town, our mom's are friends so she told me to play nice." Technically a lie but Warren didn't want anyone to know he came out to Enola he wasn't sure if he'd get in trouble or not and just figured it was for the best. Turning back to Cassidy he continues the introductions. "Cassidy this is Enola, she was the weird girl in sixth grade nobody liked, I was nice to her one time and she's been clingy ever since." The playful insult helps him recover from before giving his confidence a boost. "My best friend here seems to have this suspicious ability to show up whenever I'm talking to girls." He sticks his tongue out teasingly, "You'd better stop doing that or I'm going to get the wrong idea." He laughs a little as his phone begins to blow up he unlocks the screen. It seems the conversation between Joey and Marco has changed they are talking about a last minute practice tonight. "Fuck coach is really going to call a practice now." He mutters out loud annoyed by the timing, he begins to text back his annoyance.
