The name is Rebel Galaxy after a game I played that is similar to how the ships work in the RP. If you haven't played it, well you should. So the setting a cyberpunk world of deep space. Before I explain, I would like to thank Alexodia, Snoe and Deaths for helping me combine a trio of ideas into one bit clusterfuck of awesomeness.
The galaxy named Tethran II is infamous for outlaws, pirates, mercenaries. The navy have been trying to move in and tame the galaxy into civilisation and although they have some patrols and space stations scattered throughout, all attempts to fully take control have failed. Spaceships were deeply inspired by 18th century ships and evolved space combat forever. Broadside cannons upgraded to plasma shots instead of heavy balls of iron, lasers replaced swivel guns for accurate shots and penetration of the hull with added addition of rockets and missiles to break through and shatter energy Shields and disable engines. Fighter class starships brought future tactics to the traditional combat and became a vital asset for a frigate and destroyer and man 'o war classes. The smaller, agile ships maneuver through space and between the crossfire in dogfight fashion against other fighters defending their vessels while attempting to cause some damage to their opponent's.
Recently, pirates and mercenaries have been going crazier than ever, plundering and searching with more vigor and aggression, there is good reason why. The self-proclaimed Pirate King, the wealthiest man with the strongest fleet of spaceships finally met his end and lost to the abyss of space. Before his demise, he loudly announced he stored his vast wealth in a secret location and scattered fragments of the map leading directly to it across the galaxy, revealing the locations of some pieces while the rest will 'show themselves eventually.' The infamous Pirate King had nothing else to lose so there was no real reason for him to lie and this caused every pirate and mercenary, fresh faced and hardened veterans, to go into a frenzy to find these pieces and the treasure. Blood will be shed, violence will escalate. Pirates, mercenaries and the navy are not the only dangers out there. Alien space monsters that many named after sea creatures of legend such as the Kraken and Leviathan roam this galaxy and looking for ships to prey upon and rumours of a Literal Ghost Spaceship branded the Soulless sails through space without a single soul to man the vessel, feared for it's merciless lust for destruction of any ship that it comes across.
A Captain originating outside of Tethran II has come to search for this treasure and claim the fortune and fame that will be achieved upon it's discovery. Ambitious? Mad? Confident? Cocky? One thing is for sure, they arrived with enough wealth to purchase a frigate class ship and hire a crew to man it and fighter pilots to defend it. The only trouble is, to survive Tethran II long enough to find even one fragment, they will need to hire the best money can buy.

I have humans and four different alien species you can choose from, I shall write up those later on. So anybody interested? Any questions? I am fully open to ideas and suggestions.
