Ten's BioTen sat near the entrance of the training ground, atop a five story building in this underground simulated city. It was a very interesting build something reverse engineered from KRV and improved on. This city was fully functional even simulated citizens, "Dunno why she wanted me to run this little gauntlet." Ten grumbled to himself, though these people 'did' accept the invitation to work for Pride Initiatives, this test was all about figuring out where they'd best be deployed. Ten was chosen to test them, so it'd be interesting to see how well they stood up against him using his skills and an entire city. All that was left was to wait and read up on the 'recruits'. Ten pulled out his map and double heck he weapons caches and the traps he'd lain out throughout the city... non-lethal for the most part but with certain power sets one must go the extra mile. (OOC:this'll be a test RP to get you guys into the spirit so lets have a bit of fun! Remember to read the rules and create a character.)

Techint pulls up a invitation to work for Pride Initiatives. " I wonder will this be fun or will this be a drag? I do wonder indeed. " Techint looks at the invitation to find the address then starts to focus on the location almost as if he's pinpointing it on a map. He gets up and opens the door before leaving Techint remembers to grab his cane since he may need to have some rough play tonight. Then closes and lock the door behind him then walks off since tonight feels like a night to walk.

Greyman adjusts his tie and mutters "This is pointless, obviously I'm more than qualified." He strides towards the meeting place insuring that he doesn't bump into any of his inferiors who might cause unnecessary damage to his bones before he could get to the location.

Ten watches the entrance, they'll be here anytime now. So far he'd read through two dossiers. One Greyman and then Techint, both had unique powers, it was going to be sticky if he didn't respect those abilities... then again Ten wasn't the type to under estimate, people hell his powers were considered low end by most standards.
Waiting was such a drag, but these guys needed to show up at the office, given their keycards, shuttled toward the elevator and then they'd show up here in this bunker, trapped with Ten for a little game. There were a few mission types to run them through first was a sort of 'fetch' type of mission. Not a straight up fight... that'd come later toward the end of the test.
Ten pulled his revolver ad double checked, making sure they were the stun rounds... Vaihl was really good at the non-lethal weapons thing, no lethal weapons made it passed the lobby let alone down into the training dome. "They should be here soon... hope they're not expecting an inspiring speech."

Techint arrives at Pride Initiatives doing a quick scan of the tech nearby. Feeling camera nearby he deems anythings not a threat to him. Walking into the building Techint sets his glasses into search mode just in case. Walking up the the front desk he shows the invitation to the receptionist.

Seeing a tall man walk into lobby so others taken the invite well others will be coming so this should be great. Techint brings his bandana off of his face and let's out a yawn then checks his phone to pass by the time. " Man I wonder how long this wait will take? " Says Techint flipping his cane in a circle and looking at his phone.

Carefully stepping around the idiot (who for some unknowable reason appeared to be wearing a bandanna to a job interview) Greyman pulls his invitation out of his pocket and shows it to the receptionist "Inform your superiors that I'm here for the Pride Initiative test and do not like to be kept waiting."

A door opened, and then closed with a slight slam as Paradox entered his place with an almost silent sigh. Cruising as if on autopilot through the apartment adjacent to the library, he gently placed his bag onto the table and automatically turned to enter the bedroom, only to catch sight of the single letter pushed through his mailbox. Raising an eyebrow in surprise at the nature of the envelope, he stalked over and slowly picked up the letter, eyeing it with interest as he opened it and read the contents.
"Hmm. I haven't exactly been advertising my powers; I must have been watched. A thought that would be almost flattering. If it wasn't rather insulting" Paradox mused as his eyes glossed over the location printed in bold at the bottom of the letter. "Insulting...but intriguing nonetheless. It's almost enough to warrant interest on its own." As he mused, a wave of panic began to rise in his stomach, only for it to be slammed back down as quickly as it arrived and replaced with his usual cool detachment. "One may think I've been isolating myself for far too long. I can control my powers better than ever, now. The patrons of the library don't even notice anything abnormal about me. And I certainly can't deny the appeal of trying again, after so long. Perhaps...I am ready to give it a shot, after all. Either way...there's only one way I can find out." His eyes darting upwards to the date on the letter, his eyebrows raised slightly in surprise once more. "It seems I've been away...longer than I thought. I do so love the quiet, though. I suspect the other applicants, assuming there are any, have likely already arrived." Paradox continued to stare at the letter before looking upwards. "It seems I must make haste."
Turning around sharply, he marched forward and placed the letter on the table, before going to the bedroom and lifting a rucksack from the cupboard that he kept safe for emergency departures, before bringing it to the table and placing the letter inside. Slinging the bag over his shoulder, he fished his phone out of his pocket and called the speed-dial.
"Mrs. Moore? I need a rather large favour," he declared with a ghost of a grin, opening and shutting the door behind him on the way to the airport.

The faint but insistent beeping of his laptop roused Vergil unwillingly from the depths of sleep. Grumbling to himself, he pulled himself into his chair and stared blearily at his laptop until he was awake enough to make out what was on the screen.
"An invitation to work for Pride Initiatives huh?" He murmured faintly to himself. "I doubt I'll get past the interview, given their hiring policies. Still, doesn't hurt to try and if I got in, their knowledge of Darwin syndrome is extensive to say the least."
After a few minutes fruitlessly searching for a more formal shirt to wear, Vergil gave it up as a lost cause, pulling on his favourite t-shirt instead. Pausing only to lock up and grab his doctor's bag, he set off in the direction of the Pride Initiatives Tower, the building towering over the surrounding landscape.

Arriving at Pride Initiatives' lobby Vergil could see that people were already starting to arrive. One gentleman, clearly a Darwin (no one had that shade of skin normally) was already speaking to the receptionist. Vergil decided to wait for him to finish before speaking to the receptionist himself. Instead, spying a chair in the lobby, Vergil sank gratefully into it before reaching into his bag and pulling out his notepad and going over the research notes he had written down the night before.

She'd been passing through the lobby carrying her briefcase when coming upon a group holding invitations. Held up at the desk for registration most likely. These were her employee prospects? An eclectic bunch but Darwins were rarely the 'average' type of people... except Geo.
Walking to the desk the woman behind the reception desk suddenly straightened up and grew nervous "Uuuuhmmmm me miss Barbas!" She squeaked and rambled an explanation to the towering feline CEO.
"That's fine just call up the elevator I'll be showing these individuals downstairs..." Vaihl turned to examine each face trying to align them with the dossiers she'd red "Good afternoon gentlemen I am Vaihl Barbas, I see you've received the invitations now let's be on our way to the training facility we can talk on the way."
Vaihl was as direct as ever and was soon at the large elevator doors opening as if to greet her approach "I've assigned this recruitment session to Ten as he is the least likely to injure or kill any of you by accident." She spoke as if it were a night impossibility for them to maim her prized body guard.
Waiting for them to enter the elevator she spoke as they moved "I ever extensive files on each of you and you all have talents that would benefit my company, some of you more directly than others. Some of you if you wish are eligible for R&D benefits having your powers analyzed for biotech purposes of which you'll be entitled to profits garnered from such technologies." Barbas was being up front as always "That being said I will be watching this test of your abilities with that and other practical jobs in mind... are there any questions gentlemen?"

Having neglected to sit down, Paradox stood in the corner of the lobby of the Pride Initiatives building, silently observing his fellow applicants with interest. Some of them he would have very little complaints about, that he had to note. Some of them...more so, but then again he hadn't lasted this long by letting people get under his skin. Most people don't like that to begin with, but for him, the consequences were much more dire should he succumb. Call it an incentive.
Something caught on his finger, breaking his concentration, and he shifted his eyes down to see his locket that he had been twirling caught between his fingers. He felt an emotional smile threaten to break across his face as he studied the steampunk pattern of the locket, still slightly cursing the fact that he'd brought it with him. Merely bringing it was enough of a liability. Or so he thought; apparently he had a better grasp of his emotions than he thought. This wouldn't leave him, though. Not this. He wouldn't allow it.
Suddenly, his reflection was broken by a spike in emotion resonating in the room like somebody had banged a cymbal; he swiftly shifted his eyes up to study the culprit, the receptionist. Such a sudden spike in fear always caught his attention. The smell was unmistakable. Something was about to happen. His suspicions were proved correct when the receptionist started stammering around the same time a behemoth of a woman strolled into the lobby. Not anybody of common status, that was rather clear. She walked with purpose; with authority. Managerial position seemed rather insulting to the feline giantess, which funnily enough, he had only just noticed. A testament to her rather unique character, he supposed.
His suspicions were proved correct when the feline turned to address him and his little motley crew, speaking with clarity and brevity, everything about her betraying no opportunities for interruption. Declaring herself Vaihl, she sharply turned on her heels and motioned for the group to follow her to the elevator, almost everybody standing up rather quicker than they would have had they been addressed by anybody else. He allowed a single solitary eyebrow to raise in bemused surprise, before tucking his locket safely in his front shirt pocket and pushing off of the wall with the bottom of his foot, following the group with a slight delay and listening to their questions with renewed focus.
This was beginning to look interesting.

Greyman narrows his eyes at the implication that some rent-a-guard might be able to match him but nevertheless puts his paperwork back in his briefcase and stands up. He stretches his legs incredibly carefully making sure that the muscle was loose and ready for action.
"Despite her insulting attitude this Vaihl might actually be worthy of some respect." Greyman thought. "Certainly one does not come to run this kind of organisation without a significant amount of skill and ruthless calculation but she will soon discover that there are few who better understand the mathematics of power then me."
The others in the lobby were barely worth his notice although he did wish that the fool in the corner would stop twirling that blasted piece of jewelry.

Vaihl smiles toward the small one... well they're all small comparison. The one spinning a cane so comically, words so playful aswell. She liked the ones that enjoyed a little fight, "That depends how much Ten likes or dislikes you, it may end prematurely if you managed to upset him." Which was rare "But on a more serious note, this test consists of several phases, the bunker is two miles of simulated cityscape, coincidentally created by a very Powerful technopath that specializes in mimicing reality in enclosed spaces." Vaihl lets her words sink in for a moment "So the holographic landscape is further enhanced to seem like a real city, citizens, weapons, vehicles and we can even simulate some famous Darwins although I don't think anyone here is ready to take on some of the top names... Ten is in control of the entire system so its hard to say." Vaihl was being very forth coming, though she was always in favour of giving her operatives as much information and support as humanly possible. "So you'll have free reign over two miles of city to complete the missions set to you... to answer your question lots of fun." Vaihl chuckled.
The second that spoke was the human of the group "OH yes Doctor Virgil, to be honest I rarely hire humans but there simply is no substitute for talent and intelligence; you needn't take part in any violence but with your skills its hard to pass up your expertise in the field." Vaihl had chosen these men with their skill and abilities in mind everything had a plan and purpose even if some of those invited hadn't shown up yet "Researchers for Pride Initiatives work in the field whenever the opportunity arises, to see how Darwin abilities are utilized in real situations, add to that a researchers experience to logistics and information gathering... and medical assistance." The purpose of having someone like Dr. Hargrave was coming into focus "In the field you can help in deducing an rogue Darwins abilities and help formulate a battle plan as well as learn more about your teams abilities and later use that in practical inventions, does that allay your worries Doctor?" Vaihl finally regarded the two quiet members.
"Paradox is it?" Taking note of the "Or do you prefer Benjamin?" Vaihl saw potential in this one but there was a specific set of reasons she sent an invitation to that one "I know someone very similar to you, if you have a moment I'd like to speak with you in private their may be something you'd be interested in." So much like Empathy, Vaihl had a few ideas for her though the two of them were never on the best of terms so prototypes were the best she could manage.
"Finely, you're awfully silent Mr. Greyman... not looking forward to testing your abilities?" Vaihl was curious about this one though according to his file may need some humbling. Ten was going to have a field day with this one.

Techint similes as soon as she utters the word technopath so this was worth it maybe now I'll have some fun or maybe a real job instead of black hatting. Techint stops spinning the cane and hooks onto his back he takes of the bandana from his neck. Then ties to his wrist Techint ankh tattoo starts to glow azure as his powers start to boot up. Listening to all of the questions asked by his compatriots and the subsequent answers by the behemoth of a woman, he remained silent throughout; hearing them say anything was rather a good indicator into their character. And if they happened to say nothing at all...well, that could be just as good. Whether they seemed to take the potential exercise seriously was strangely enough rather lost on these fellow applicants; most of them were facing the prospect with a rather noticeable amount of jokes. Granted, most attempt to cover up their nerves with jokes, but there was little to no nerves actually present; most were rather excited or anxious to get the show on the road. Interesting; then he was either working with the best...or the most foolish.
All of a sudden, his name cut through the din. The giantess was addressing him. Merely asking his preference of address, it seems. He'd enlighten her to that later he mused, when his attention was captured by what she said next. Somebody like him? Impossible. There would obviously be people with powers similar to him, but surely not the potency of his powers. Nor the extent to which it has cursed his life. Although this wasn't merely an offhanded remark; she had seen his file. She knew him, she knew his powers. And yet still she spoke of a kindred spirit. A wave of emotions threatened to come up to the surface after hearing this; fear, concern, hope. He crushed them all down before they even began to take shape. He had to. But he couldn't pass this up, even if it turned out to be nothing. Maybe this person would understand. He highly doubted it...but then again, that's better than the certainty he'd possessed for as long as he could remember.
"Of course", he acquiesced with a slight, somewhat demure forward tip of his head. "At your convenience." He watched with slight bemusement as the eyebrows of everybody in the group raising in surprise, some more than others, but still occurring nonetheless at the deepness of his voice, his RP accent cutting through the silence. He wasn't actually entirely bothered that most seemed to expect him to have a higher pitched voice due to his small stature; it was rather entertaining to see their surprise at the contradiction. Still, he could feel the eyes of the feline giantess studying him intently, before moving onto the next applicant. Shaking off the slight wonder that arose at the thought of a kindred spirit, he renewed his focus on the applicants and their responses. He did have to work with these people after all; it didn't do well to not have an idea of who they were.
After the applicant turned to address the doctor, he started to let his mind wander for a second. Fighting the urge to scoff at the arrogance of the applicant to believe that he could harm one of the giantess' clearly favoured employees, he fought the urge by reminding himself that he wasn't quite aware of his powers. Appearance was often an abysmal indicator of power strength. After all, he was the poster boy for that. His marked lack of fear was also interesting, but had the potential to be quite foolish. Although, one often does not become arrogant without an ability to back it up. He would have to take note. He would have to take note of all of them; he doubted that the gentleman with a bandana and the apparent doctor were any less dangerous, given the chance. If there was ever a time to be totally and utterly on guard, it was now. It appeared it was time for first impressions.
"Oh, and Ms. Barbas?" he added in his soft-spoken, yet monotone and somewhat intimidating voice, deliberately taking the time to slowly study his surroundings once more rather than level her citrine eyes with his own amethyst, before doing exactly that after he completed the first part of his request. "I have a preference for title and surname. Call me a traditionalist."

Vergil was taken aback slightly at Paradox's surprisingly deep voice, before mentally scolding himself, "You live in a city where most of the citizens have some form of superpower, whose entire power needs are met by a single man who barely comes up to your shoulder and yet you're surprised by a little vocal dissonance? You really need to work on your perception of what's unusual Vergil."
Having suitable chastised himself, Vergil elected to double-check his medical supplies, faintly concerned by Greyman's apparent intent to cause serious harm to somebody. After satisfying himself that there were indeed a couple of splints in his bag, he moved on to check his supply of morphine and epinephrine was sufficient, before closing his bag and returning his attention to his prospective employer.

His backpack quickly unzips it self and out flyes three fold up drones, 2 mini hopper drones, & leaves his favorite drone in his bag while it zips up in the process. Picking up the two hopper he hooks them onto the upper part of his cane while the drones fly at his sides. Vaihl watches the door to the elevator open and leads the group out. The late comers would be shown the way as long as they remembered their invitations. “This way please,” the elevator opened into a the armory, “If you require any equipment you’ll find it here.”
Greyman... seemed to have reservations Vaihl seemed somewhat annoyed “I’m not one to invest in anything without putting it to the test, and if you’re not comfortable with this then sit it out.” Vaihl stated a simple logical fact, though she trusted that this man understood what ‘sitting’ out meant. It meant he wasn’t getting the job. And again he proves confident toward meeting Ten, this would be interesting.
Vaihl smiled at the interchange between the doctor and Greyman. Lets hope that confidence proves sincere. Though the medics may need to on stand-by these guys were definitely going to get on Ten’s nerves. “Equip yourself with what you need the only restrictions are lethal ordinance, if you attempt to use lethal force I cannot garauntee your personall safety and Mr. Bell come with me.” Vailh kept prototypes locked up down here for testing purposes “Like I’d mention’d I have an acquaintence that is like you, an Empath.” Vaihl had designed a little something for ‘directing’ such abilities “She has inspired a little something,” She reached out with a clawed hand and opened a weapons case “This is a dampening device.” It looked like a fancy chrome collar with a steel cable “And this is a directed amplifier.” A gauntlet of sorts “With this activated you may be able to nulify incoming signals and scan at range for specific emotional signals... I’ve yet to test it fully but I imagine there may be more function to it in conjunction with your specific brand of empathic ability.”
Ten on the other hand had taken notice of the arriving group and clicked on his radio “If you stopped for pizza and didn’t bring me any... someone getting shot... oh... Hi I’m Ten... I’m the guy out here with the rifle.” Ten waved from his perch.
