Atlantus Accomadations is a recently built block of semi-communal flats in the centre of the city. Each room has it's own en-suite toilet however showers, lounge and kitchen are shared on each floor this is compensated for by the greatly reduced price and sense of "community". You'll find all sorts here from married couples to impoverished students though we at Dodgy Dave Ltd now assure you that after our most recent clean up none of the rooms are being used by sex workers any longer... that we know of (although we have our suspicions about Rachel). Every room comes with a double-bed (in case of *cough* overnight guests), a desk, bookshelf and wardrobe. Any further furniture must be supplied by the tenant and we are not responsible for any damage to that furniture from: rats, insects, fire, water, lightning, other acts of God or over-enthusiastic sex. You Ms Johnson have been given a room on Floor D we suggest seeking out Ms (soon to be Mrs) King upon arrival as she is the most responsible member of the floor and can amply prepare you for... Jack. We claim no responsibility for Jack.

Natasha sits on a chair at the living room table, in front of her is a few open envelopes with bills for rent, electricity, heating and all other essentials when it comes to living in the Accommodation. She holds a pen in her hand, writing down divisions of the bills with concentration and routine. She does this every time the day of payment comes in; calculate the total price of all bills and then divide it evenly into the contributions of the tenants. Many people would find this task tedious, frustrating and, at times, stressful. To somebody like Natasha, she really enjoys working out everything into an order that is simple and easy. People living on this floor always come to her when they need help sorting out schedules or payments, she's become the big sister here while some others are... Strangley infatuated with her, namely Jack. Though try as he might, he will not succeed evident by the engagement ring on her left ring finger. She is a taken woman who is loyal to the love of her life. The other striking thing about the petite, small woman is her work uniform of a Nurse. She recently got off a rather grueling night shift and hasn't had time to change into some bedwear so she can catch up with sleep. But alas, the sooner bills are organised then the sooner people can begin giving their contributions. Dedicated to keeping things in order, as Natasha always has been.
Natasha also scribbles down a note in the corner of the paper about a new tenant. One moved out recently into their own place and the open room has recently been assigned to the new Ms. Johnson. Her and Eve being the backbone of this floor, they were silently assigned as the heads and the go-to girls for settling in. In fact, most of this floor's tenants are women and has been for the last year. While all other floors in the Accommodation have a mix of both genders, Floor D is quite the exception. Natasha resigns to staying awake until the arrival of Ms. Johnson. Good thing she prepared herself a coffee to aid her patience in the wait.

Eve sat down at the table, sipping some coffee as she waited. She was wearing her usual outfit, having gone to work early that day. She decided to stay up for the new arrival that was supposed to come in today. The new girl would be the one to settle into the recently available room. She pondered how she may be. Perhaps she'd be smart and logical, or quirky, or maybe she'd be a great cook. She looked forward to meeting her.
Eve looked over to Natasha, who was counting up the bills. She had always admired how organized she was, but then again, she was called the "big sister" of the Accommodation. Tired of the silence, Eve spoke up. "Are you excited to meet the new tenant? I can't wait. It's nice to meet some new faces every so often." She smiled, sipping her coffee once more.

The slightly sleepy Natasha jumps a little at the sound of Eve's voice. Her remaining focus was on the bills and fighting to keep her eyes open, so she forgot her other tenant was on the table with her. She gives a small smile before putting her pen down and taking a long sip from her coffee while she speaks in excitement, the red ceramic mug has a coloured Arc Reacter of Iron Man presented on the front. It is the clear mark of her property and evidence of the smaller woman's geeky side. She's always been a Marvel fangirl, she has been saving the series of Defenders to watch with Matthew once he comes back from his business trip this weekend. She returns the mug onto the table once Eve gives her an opening to talk back.
"I am. Since Clara moved out it feels just a little empty, even with the amount already living here." Tasha's voice is naturally a little bit more quiet than the excitable girl's but her usual shyness is not evident this time. She feels the most comfortable around Eve and has the strongest bond out of the rest of them, both being the ones keeping things together and working close to one another whenever they are not at work. The Nurse is wondering if she would be interested in becoming a Bridesmaid at the wedding... She will be sure to ask her once the new tenant is settled in, it's better to ask once they're not so busy. "I hope she fits in well with the others. It can be intimidating technically moving in with a bunch of strangers... I was scared to death when I first moved here." She chuckles a little at the memory before taking another sip of coffee, hoping it will keep her eyes open.

Eve waited for Tasha to finish her thoughts before speaking. Her voice was more calm this time, lessening the contrast between the two's voices. The two of them probably had the strongest bond out of anyone in the Accommodation. "Yeah. I miss Clara, but you can't really blame her or be angry for her moving out. It was her choice." Eve paused to take a sip of coffee. She pit down the white mug, which had a cartoon baby elephant. It was given to her as a gift, and she has made it her most used mug. She often said that you can't go wrong with elephants!
"Yeah, me too. After a while though, you really start acting like family with one another. I'm not even sure how I became one of the backbones of the Accomadation! Luckily, I had you to keep me organized and sane," She said, smiling genuinely. She moved to sip some coffee, having her lips on the mug, when she realized it was empty. She got up to get some more coffee, hoping it'd be enough to hold her through. "You know, I was thinking of throwing like a mini party for the new tenant. Some pizza, a few balloons, and maybe some small presents. Nothing too expensive, of course, just something to say that we're nice people. Is that a good idea?". She poured some coffee in her mug, looking back at Tasha. She stopped pouring and went back to her seat.

Jack suddenly appears from the shower-room wearing only jeans his fiery red hair slicked down from cleaning himself up from the day's... exertions. "There's a new tenant coming?!" He asks excitedly with a wild grin. "Boy or girl?" Jack was the only man on Floor D a status he relished though so far none of the current residents had given into his constant flirting despite his best efforts, especially with Natasha, even Rachel only flirted back instead of jumping into bed with him a fact he found somewhat annoying. "Why did no one tell me?!" He exclaimed flopping onto the sofa with a big grin. "Hey we could make it a fancy dress party although..." He looked from Natasha in her nurse's uniform to Eve in her work outfit. "You two would look fine in anything!" He says with a wink

Natasha smiled sweetly at Eve's kind words to keeping her sane. "I don't think I would be sane without your help either. As much as I enjoy it, organising an entire household filled with people takes a lot of effort." She reveals to her as she places her mug back on the table and about to finish with organising the bills as Eve goes to refill her cup. "But a party would be a nice gesture! I have the day off tomorrow so it gives me time to get all of the supplies needed if everybody puts in a contribution." She thinks this would be a good idea, maybe help their new tenant get to know everybody, ease their nerves and show that they're welcome here with open arms. The sound of a door makes Tasha look up to see Jack enter the room wearing barely anything. Normally she would feel embarrassed seeing him like this but her friendly reminders and hints never work, sometimes it encourages his flirts. So she just gave up and grew used to it.
"Well... Only me and Eve know so far and um..." She tries to think about keeping it light without sounding rude. "Well you have scared other tenants away in the past with your... Very forward flirting and advances." She hopes that didn't sound rude as she pauses to sip her coffee again. "We wanted to give her a chance to prepare for you." It's true. Jack has had a bad habit of causing tenants to move out prematurely by being a 'perverted creep' and then having to cover for more rent until they find another which has annoyed Tasha on many occasions. Other than that, he's pretty much harmless and like a little brother if she ignores his flirting, something Matthew hates Jack for constantly doing even in his presence. Which he does with his suggestion of a fancy dress while looking the two girls up and down. As usual, clears her throat awkwardly and her cheeks go a little think not of flattery but embarrassment. She will never get used to that. "Um, thank you..." she mumbles while looking into her mug to hide her face. "But I don't think everybody would have a costume, I sure don't."

Eve opened her mouth to respond, but closes it as she hears a door open. She looked to the source of the sound and sees Jack wearing only jeans. She didn't even react to to it, having been used to it after living with Jack for so long. She laughed at how excited Jack sounded when he heard the news. "Tasha is right, though, you are very forward. Like, super forward. It tskes a while for someone to get used to it." She always thought of Jack as a friend, akin to a little brother, despite his constant flirting. She tends to tease him, although they are all light-hearted. "As for a fancy dress, I don't think that's necessary. After all, it'd just be a little casual welcoming party. Also, thanks Jack. I do look good in anything," she says, exaggeratingly flipping her hair, before stopping to laugh. Once she stops, she speaks once more. "But seriously, you do tend to drive them away.

"Fine no fancy dress!" Jack sighed in defeat. "How about no dress?" He grinned bouncing back immediately. "Naturalist party!" He loved the way Tahsa blushed especially when he flirted with her in front of her dumb fiance. He turned to Eve. "Oh don't I know it but," He leans forward conspiratorially. "You'd look even better in nothing..." He whispered seductively. Eve was a good sport about his flirting even if she wouldn't act on it, he liked her and Natasha a lot and not just in the sexy way which was rare for him. "Hey if they can't handle the heat," He gestured to his bare chest with a cocky smirk. "They can get off the fire, let all the real ladies stay! So who is joining us? Are they sexy?" A thought suddenly hit him. "Oh yeah and I've got the rent money Tasha!" He tried not to be late with the money ever since he'd got very behind and had to get a lecture from the two big sister types, what was worst was they'd not been angry just disappointed so now he made sure to save money from his shifts at the flower shop, great place to meet girls, so he was ahead of rent.

"We don't know much about her." Tasha says while ignoring the comment about a Naturalist Party. "The landlord only told us her name is Briar and that she has already paid rent in advance, which makes it easier on us." She explains to the others, which is a relief on the petite woman because everybody's share of rent will be easier to pay for. It is during this thought that Jack announces he has made the rent money on time, rewarding him with a sweet smile of gratitude from Natasha. "Thanks, Jack. You've been really good with keeping up with it now." She says to him. She remembers that day where he first arrived and became very behind on his share. She let him off for a little while so he could have some time to pay it all off... but it kept building up until nobody could cover for his share anymore. It resulted in Eve and herself speaking to Jack about it, how it's making things more difficult for everybody and they have been trying to be lenient for him but they can't anymore. No yelling or getting angry but the disappointment was clear on both their faces. It must have really woken him up, because since then he has always got rent on time without fail after paying everybody back what he owed, sometimes he even brings it to them early. It's a quality she finds adorable about Jack, he just can't stand disappointing people.
Natasha finished up with calculations and pushes the paper into the middle of the table so everybody and anybody coming into the living room will see. "This is everybody's share for the week not including utilities and food shopping. It's a little cheaper this time, thanks to Briar paying some rent in advance for her arrival." The usual procedure for a new tenant is that they always pay the rent in advance before arrival, something Tasha likes. "Tomorrow it's Rachel's turn to go food shopping so maybe I should go with her to pick up some supplies for the party. We still have a week to go before having to pay utilities." Another thing everybody contributes to. She is beaming a little from working it all out, she really does enjoy this stuff. Bonus on the others, who would probably try to avoid it all until the last minute since it's a tedious task.

"I won't deny that, Jack, but no, we're not having a naturalist party," She said, chuckling a little as she did so. She smiled as she saw Jack hand in his payment, pleased that their lecture had helped. When Tasha pushed the paper, Eve looked over it and found her share. "Here's my rent for the month," she said, handing over the envelope full of her rent money. "As for the party, I'll handle the decorations. I'll get some balloons, maybe a present, and a banner, and anything else that I can find." She looked over to Natasha, and smiled as she saw her beaming. Then she remembered something to tell her. "Hey, Tasha, how's the wedding planning going?". She had made it almost a tradition to ask Tasha how it was going everytime the rent money comes in.

Natasha takes the envelope handed to her and sets it near the table after writing Eve's name on it, so she will know who has given theirs in and who hasn't before putting her own envelope with her share next to it. Her beaming only gets brighter when asked about the wedding. "It's going smoothly as planned. We have our venue picked and I will need to start thinking about a dress. Matthew is stressing about his suit more than I have about my dress so far." She laughs as she takes a final sip of her coffee before her mug is drained. "I hope I can find one affordable... there's so much to pay for and money is tight." She says with a frown. She knew they would be expensive, but now actually planning one herself she sees that her expectations were underestimated, also on top of saving for a house after they are officially married. Her parents have offered to pay for it, thrilled that their daughter has found somebody to settle down with but she kindly declined. She doesn't want to be a burden for them and not appear like a 'spoilt princess' as was one of the many names that jeered her in Secondary School.
The thought of asking Eve being a bridesmaid comes back to her mind. "Eve, could I ask you something?" She asks quietly, slightly nervous. She is not sure why she is nervous, she imagines Eve would love this responsibility. They're not busy now and she doubts anything else at this time of night will be happening, the time is better than it will be.

"Briar huh..." Jack rolled it around in his mouth. "Wonder if she's thorny!" He joked. "Well anyway I guess I should probably put some clothes on... gotta ease her into seeing this masterpiece." Jack tried to look apathetic about the compliments for paying the rent. "Well it's like I tell Rachel, I always pay the ladies on time!" He said with a wink. Jack shrugged not surprised they hadn't asked him to help with the party, he was both unenthusiastic and incompetent at that kind of organising thing. He winced as they started discussing the wedding, he hated Matthew something about the guy just rubbed him the wrong way, and it wasn't just that he was keeping Tasha away from Jack's bed with his stupid ring. "Anyway tell me when she gets here!" He says trying to be cheerful as he heads for his room.

Eve laughed as Jack made his joke, whether from how corny it was or if it was genuinely funny was unknown. "Yeah, masterpiece is one word for it," she said jokingly. "I will, Jack," she said, waving goodbye.
Eve listened intently to Tasha as she goes over how the wedding is going. Once she is finished speaking, Eve opens her mouth. "I'm glad that everything's going well. I do hope you can find an affordable dress, I hear they're quite expensive. Just remember, if you ever need anything, say money or just some emotional support, just tell me. I'd be more than happy to help you. It's the least I could do, after all you've helped me with." She takes a long slurp of her coffee, relishing how good it was. She stopped, looking at Tasha once more. She listened to what she had to say, her brow furrowing, confused as to how nervous she suddenly became. "Sure, ask away. What is it?" She said, giving a small smile, confused by the question.

Briar looked up at the tall building with a heavy heart. This looked really bloody depressing. She read again the odd letter she’d got from Dodgy Dave Ltd about moving in; it all seemed very sexual but she got the gist. The one called Rachel was some kind of prostitute, the engaged one was de facto in charge and there was something terrible about the one called Jack. Oh, good just what she needed more broken people like she wasn’t annoyed enough by herself. She pulled her jacket closer around her against the evening chill but it didn’t keep her legs any warmer, why the hell had she decided to wear a bloody knee-length dress?! The taxi had dropped her off ten minutes ago with her suitcase but she had been standing on the pavement just composing herself, first impressions and all that shit… God this was stupid! She pulled her suitcase up to the door her braided hair being tugged at by the wind and took a deep breath. Just fucking go for it! She pushed the call button marked “Floor D”.

Natasha squirms a little in her seat nervously while one finger taps her mug subconsciously, something she does often. There's a pause, wondering what words to use before deciding to go for it. But as she opens her mouth, the security door buzzer goes off and turns her head to look in the direction of it, before smiling softly. That must be Briar, meaning the question will probably have to wait for tomorrow... "That must be her." The Nurse says in a tone that matches her beam. "I'm sorry, Eve. I'll ask you later." She says as she gets up to go and answer the call. On the wall next to the door is an intercom-like device with a phone attached to speak to those downstairs. She presses a button next to the phone and beeps a little bit, unlocking the door for Briar so she can step in. "I hope everything is all sorted for her..." She says to Eve when stepping back into the living room, reality setting in that their new tenant is here. "We cleaned everywhere, bills are organised, dishes are done.." She goes through her head of every chore that is done, they're making as much as of an impression at the Briar and the place must be in order. Natasha is stressing herself over this.

Eve was dissapointed that the question would have to wait, but it was overwhelmed by the excitement of the news of the tenant. She got up from her seat, and scanned the room, looking for anything to fix. "I hope she likes the place. I think we've got everything fixed up as best as possible. All that's left is just to wait for Briar to come up. No need to stress over anything," Eve says as she puts a hand on Tasha's shoulder comfortingly, before taking it away.

The faint glow of a computer screen fills the room, clicking of a keyboard echoes throughout the room. "Fuck, fuck, fuck! The deadline is tonight!" Michelle quietly mumbles as she trying to finish the last chapter of her light novel "Flowers Bloom in the Night"
Wiping sweat off of her forehead, Michelle gets outta her chair and walks over to the light switch and covers her eyes with her hand, then turns the lights on. Walking over to the mini fridge she opens up the door to an empty mini fridge, a single tear fills Michelle's eye. "There's no food. I had pizza last night, but what should I have tonight?" That's when a image of General Tso fills her head "You know the answer for dinner!" He says in a Chinese accent and fades from her head. "Chinese! Fuck yeah." Picking up her phone, Michelle frankly dials the number of House Hunan, the best Chinese buffet/take-out in town. She gets her usual of some General Tso's Chicken and Fried Rice with a side of a shrimp egg-roll. Grabbing her car keys she begins for the door, just as she realizes she only wearing athletic shorts and a sports bra.
Walking over towards her closet she throws on her usual get-up and grabs her glasses off of her nightstand and walks out of her room. Looking at everyone she greets everyone with her two favorite words “Hey Schmucks. So what we having a family meeting?” She asks with a hint of meekness.

Briar opened the door after the beep, the people hadn't even checked it was her a wonder they hadn't all been murdered. The foyer was pretty basic just the mail boxes. Deciding to take the lift due to her suitcase she waited gloomily the dimly lit creaking box doing little to raise her mood as it took her up to Floor D. Stepping out she walked through a doorway and found herself in a living room. Three people occupied it; a nurse, someone with a zoo t-shirt and what looked to be a weeabo. Briar suddenly found herself feeling even more awkward, they were all quite attractive... "Hey..." She coughed. "Uh name's Briar I'm new here I'm supposed to find a Ms King."

Tasha nods to Eve's words, relaxing her shoulders that she didn't realise were very tense. She's right, everything appears to be in order while bills have been sorted out. She blames her overconcern due to the long shift she had and staying up a little longer for Briar. She smiles in gratitude to Eve. "I guess you're right. I'm just tired is all..." at that moment, Michelle enters the living room and looking like she is ready to head out. "Hello Michelle." Tasha says with a shy smile. The two's bond is a little meek, since Michelle is stays most inside of her room working and the times she isn't in her room, Tasha is at work. So half of the time, the Nurse does not know how to interact with her as smoothly as Eve or Jack. "No, no family meeting. The new tenant has arrived, I have only just buzzed her in." Her quiet voice betrays a hint of excitement and anxiety with the mixed feelings she has about making first impressions.
Just when she finishes her words, there's a cough behind the trio. They turn to find a fourth, mystery woman that the nurse is sure none of them know... As she is thinking this is Briar, the willowy woman confirms this by introducing her. Taking in a deep breath and calming her nerves, Tasha is the first to speak. "That would be me, but just call me Tasha." Her voice is naturally meek with a new person, but she doesn't stammer and fumble over her words, something she constantly did in medical school. So far so good... After sharing a handshake, keeping her grip firm as she can under the bundle of nerves, she speaks again. "Here, take a seat. Would you like a drink?" She offers and gestures to the chair she previously sat in. This is typical Natasha, she would offer the clothes off her back to make you feel more comfortable and in turn forgets her own. It is a good quality as much as a bad one.

Eve turned her head as she noticed Michelle enter the room. "Nice to see you, Michelle," she said as she gave a small wave. "We're waiting for a new tenant, as Tasha just said." She and Michelle don't have as strong of a bond as her and Tasha, but they do sometimes hangout by playing video games to pass the time. When they finish explaining, Eve hears a cough. She turns her head, expecting Briar. She stays quiet as she introduces herself, confirming her identity, and as Tasha introduces herself. Ahe looks at Tasha, noticing her small voice, knowing it was just how she was. She was glad that she was able to calm her neeves a bit.

Briar shakes the offered hand nodding silently as she was introduced to the others. Well they didn't seem too bad so far... She sits in the seat pulling her suitcase close behind her as if nervous someone might take it. God she hated this shit, having to sit and make small talk like it wasn't bad enough she'd have to be living with people. Natasha seemed nice enough if clearly shy but that kind of over-eager compassion could be just as annoying as someone being a constant dick. "No I'm okay." She shrugs. "So uh..." Think, think, think! What are you supposed to say in this kind of conversation. "Who the fuck is Jack?" Balls! She'd been wondering about it ever since she got that letter but it was probably polite to start off with small talk. "and um... nice place you've got..." She lamely tried to cover it up.

Tasha also took a seat on the opposite side of the table as Briar did so. She seemed very nervous, which is not surprising since almost every tenant except for Jack had been so in their first arrival. The first words she says however, takes her aback when she bluntly asks who Jack is. Tasha just laughs nervously, taken completely off guard and struggled to comprehend an answer. "Jack is our only male tenant here, the rest are women. I think the landlord mentioned him because well... Jack has a very strong and flirty personality." That's being kind about it... "But he's like a puppy; harmless and adorable. So just take his words on the chin and you will get used to him." She explains, hoping this won't scare her off too early. She decides to continue with the rest of the residents. "We also have Eve and Michelle here." She gestures to the two girls respectively. "Eve a de facto head as much as I am, so you can come to her or me with any issues or problems. Michelle usually keeps to herself but she's very sweet. Then there's Rachel. She's quite the social butterfly and getting on with her is very smooth." She highlights the best qualities of her 'roommates' and leaves out the part of Rachel's controversies that remain unfounded. Personally, Tasha doesn't believe it and thinks she is just a fun loving woman. That also means she is subjective to playful teasing from everybody. Come to think of it... She hasn't seen Rachel since she got back from work, she is either out for the night or sleeping. It is pretty late after all...
Seeing as Briar kinda wants to forget what she just bluntly said with an attempt to change the topic, Tasha rolls with it. "Yeah, it feels homely after awhile with everybody contributing to it." She comments. "We pretty much share everything except for the bedrooms, so we just all started treating each other like roommates rather than neighbours... So, would you like me to show you to your room?" Briar is more nervous than Tasha is and looks like she isn't all that used to talking to people. Perhaps offering to take her to her own personal space will help ease the nerves.

Rachel's room was filled with the sound of heavy breathing as the young woman panted. "Look what you did." She murmured into the microphone with a tired giggle. "You made such a mess...how is your poor maid going to get your sheets clean now master?" Again she giggles as though she were a bashful nun. "Yes, of course, Master." She replied before pausing the recording. "Ugh, that was annoying." Rachel groaned as she leaned back in her chair. "Just got to export this and get it emailed over." This was the second variant of script that she'd been given for this game in the last week. The guys making it had wanted to see which sounded better. Rachel didn't care since they were paying for her to voice both scripts regardless of which they went with. With a few clicks of her mouse she had her recordings exported as an audio file and sent it off to her employers. She pushed the mic back and stood up. The money from this should be enough to keep her going for a few months. Though she already had to spend part of it cause Jack knocked her pop filter off her mic when he came over to flirt.
Usually Rachel didn't mind teasing him a bit but that had seriously pissed her off. He apologized for breaking it and offered to pay her back but she had refused, she knew he hardly had any money as it was. But in all honesty she had been needing a new one for a while anyway. Her stomach growled loudly and she places her hand on it with a wince. "I wonder if there's any food in the fridge." All she had had for the last day and a half was a packet of instant ramen. Not exactly filling either. But she had been busy so she'd been distracted for most of the day. Rachel pushed her chair in and checked the clock that was surrounded by black and red sound foam bricks. Damn, it was late! "Long session today." She muttered, her throat felt sore already. She walked out of her room wearing only grey sweatpants and a loose fitting black tank top. She popped over to the kitchen and nabbed a sprite from the fridge. As she was stretching her legs she noticed everyone gathered in the living area. They were all chatting with some new girl. Guess she's filling in for Clara. She walked over and gave the new girl a nod, "Yo,."

Briar nods along quietly listening to Tasha. She did not like the sound of Jack, reminded her of someone though she couldn't think who, but that kind of overbearing personality tended to make her very uncomfortable which in turn made her lash out. "If you say so but if he keeps pushing me he'll get more then he bargained for." Briar warned. She raised an eyebrow at the mention that he was the only male tenant, sounded like putting a fox in a hen-house. She'd have found somewhere else if she has any other option but circumstances had forced her here. Briar tried to smile at the one in the zoo t-shirt called Eve but it came across as more of a grimace idly she wondered if Eve and Tashsa were fucking but then noticed the engagement ring on Tasha's finger and the absence of one on Eve, she didn't seem the kind to cheat so Briar dismissed it as a fantasy. "I can relate." Briar said to Michelle, good an introvert they'd get along just fine then. Briar returned the greeting of the girl who'd just entered. "Hey... uh, so you must be Rachel I guess?" Unless this was someone's "late-night friend" she looked quite cute even in very casual clothes Briar couldn't help but notice, "Goddamit she was sounding as bad as this Jack person!" She mentally scolded herself. Wait wasn't this the girl who Dodgy Dave thought might be some kind of prostitute? She didn't look like it but then Briar had no idea what a sex worker looked like.
Briar winced, sharing almost everything sounded like a massive pain especially for her preferences. "Sure." She said standing up and grabbing her suitcase looking around to work out which door was hers. "So uh how does paying bills and stuff work?"

Tasha smiles friendly at Rachel as she appears. Good to know she is still home, must have locked herself in her room and recording her work. A lot of the tenants must tease her about the rather... Sleazy voice jobs she must do... Though the Nurse isn't one to judge her. Rachel is talented at what she does, it doesn't matter the nature of the pieces she does. Though sometimes Tasha can't help herself and does a small amount of teasing along with the other women. Regardless, she is glad to see she isn't out late at night and home safely instead. "Hello Rachel. Don't forget, it's your turn to do the shopping trip. But do you mind if I tag along with you for something?" She asks politely and being careful not to reveal anything about the welcoming party for Briar. Speaking of her...
"Just follow me." She says and begins leading her to Clara's old room. Opening the door reveals the default layout white wash walls, a standard light brown carpet and the contents consist of a double bed, wardrobe, desk and bookshelf that is now barren of any books. The previous tenant didn't leave a single trace of evidence that was once living her. Tasha smiles wistfully at the sight. Clara was a lovely college girl that got along with everybody on the floor and no doubt would have made fast friends with Briar. But it was her time to move on as everybody eventually does. At the same time, an exciting feeling of anticipation fills her with getting to know her new roommate. "Here is your room. You will find the basic furniture here as well as your own private space, we will not bother you in here much." She hands over a keyring with two keys and a fob. "Here is your bedroom key incase you feel the need to lock it, the floor key to get in and out and the fob for the security door into the accommodation. Bills are usually sorted out by myself and split into a fair share of everybody in terms of rent. Utilities such as gas and electricity is evenly split but if you exceed past the average use, it is your responsibility to pay the difference. Grocery shopping is done in turns every week with each tenant putting some money and a list of what they want. Other utilities you wish to have are done at your own expense." The speech is very rehearsed and clearly been repeated many times. Tasha barely pauses to catch her breath when saying it all to Briar. Some residents tend to share the utilities with the rest while others use it for personal use, so she doesn't expect Briar to share whatever she chooses to pay for. With a satisfied and comforting smile to Briar, she feels she should let her settle in her room now. "I will leave you to your own space for the night. I will show you around more tomorrow when we have more time. I hope you find a home here." She says kindly, the words are more personified than the semi-professional monologue she gave moments ago. Tasha leaves and closes the door behind her.
With that over, she can finally rest. The shift today has her body exhausted and feet hurting. As much as she loves her job, the hours and work can be killer most days. She quickly says her good nights to the others still in the living space, telling Eve to remind her about the proposition she was about to give before Briar arrived before heading to her own room. The walls are painted light blue with a black carpet underneath her feet. The desk and wardrobe are very organised while the bed is made, Tasha prides herself with keeping a sense of order among her room. The bookshelf has a variety of cook books, medical manuals and fictional story books filling two of the shelves while the rest have decorative ornaments and trinkets. Her favourites amongst them are the framed pictures. One is the whole floor with herself, Eve, Rachel and Michelle. It was one of the rare moments where the girls all found the free times to go out one night. It was a very enjoyable one in her view. The second is Tasha and Matthew together on their holiday to Australia last year, the most adventurous one they have had. The pictures fills her with happiness and loneliness. She misses him when he goes on his business trips, she thought she would have been used to them by now but that same empty feeling in her stomach finds itself there on the day he leaves for them. It made Tasha realise how much she loves her fiancé. She has no idea what would happen if she lost him...
A moment alone, she undresses out of her nurse uniform and chucks it into the washing basket beside the door. A quick rummage in the wardrobe finds her a tank top and pyjama shorts. She feels a lot more comfortable already as soon they are on her skin. The world in front of her eyes becomes a blur when removing her stylish glasses and placing them on an end table she brought with her when first moving into the accommodation. Although only having to wear standard short sighted glasses, her father used to always says she was as 'blind as a bat'. Without them, she can't see to save her life and prolonged times with no glasses causes a headache from all the squinting and focusing, which never yields any feasible outcome. Under the covers and finally in a peaceful moment, Tasha lays down and waits for sleep to wash over her.

Eve silently watched as Tasha explained all of the residents. She occasionally sent a smile at Briar, to make her staring less awkward. She noticed that Broad was doing something either her mouth at her. It was somewhere between a grimace and a smile. She prefered to think it was a smile. And so she smiled back.
She turned away as she walked off with Tasha to settle in. She yawned as she strected a bit, noticing she still had her work shirt on. She waved at Rachel and spoke, "Oh, hey Rachel. I thought you'd be asleep by now. Are you hungry?" She asked, thinking about what they had left in the fridge.

Briar listened attentively to Tasha's speech then breathed a deep sigh of relief when she left. Even that small amount of social interaction with strangers had been exhausting. She unpacked her clothes and other stuff randomly placing them in the wardrobe and bookshelf with no real organisation. Briar didn't even bother changing into her pyjamas before collapsing on the bed her dreams filled with a smirking fox and lots of well-meaning chickens annoying her.

Rachel dips her head, "Yup, that'd be me." The new girl didn't look like much. Rachel didn't find herself overly concerned by the new addition to the flat. As long as she paid her share of the rent there won't be any problem between them. "Guess you're the new girl. I see you've already met our mother hen." She said gesturing to Tasha as she took a sip of her sprite. With the formalities out of the way she looked over to Tasha with a raised brow. "Yo mama bird. You got back later than usual." Rachel liked Tasha pretty well. She was one of the few people in the flat to not bother her about her voice acting jobs. Hell she had even chipped in a bit of money for her sound foam when she first moved in which had immediately began their easy going friendship. Rachel theatrically slumped her shoulders and sighed at the mention of having to go shopping tomorrow. Tomorrow was her cheat day where she got to sleep in for once. "Ugh, alright. I'll get the list and head out in the morning. If anyone needs any special items they better be putting extra money in the pot for that. And I'm not spotting the tax this time." She says more to those who were in the area than to Tasha in particular. "Hmm?" She asked in response to Tasha's request. "Well I don't really see why not. Though if you're coming with me anyway I don't see why I have to be the one doing the shopping." Rachel complains but isn't very insistent on her complaint. If Tasha was going to be tagging along then the trip should at the very least be interesting for one thing. She was wondering what the situation with Matthew was. The guy seemed nice enough but these business trips are taking their toll on Tasha and tha was starting to worry Rachel. Tasha was usually so upbeat and cheerful but lately she's had her moments where she's looked subdued and her cheer has seemed forced. Next time that Matthew shows up at the flat she'll need to talk with him. These long distance trips either need to stop or stop being so frequent. Mama bird needs her papa bird.
"But sure, I guess I'll catch you in the morning then." Rachel gave Briar an easy going smile and a sympathetic look as Tasha began to drag her off to the grand tour. "For what it's worth, welcome to the group. Hope we don't drive you mad too fast." She gave a respectful tilt of her drink towards the new girl. She turned her gaze to Tasha as she busily begins to go over the many facets of the apartment. "Go easy on her." The young voice actress chuckles and shakes her head thinking of her own introduction to the flat. Briar looked like she was the type to be uptight so this all was probably more annoying than fun for her. Rachel can understand that, she used to be the same way. But as the time flew by this motley crew of weirdos started to grow on her. At the sound of a new voice Rachel cut her eyes to Eve who'd caught her attention. Eve was a mousy girl, quiet and timid. Sometimes she's so quiet that Rachel forgets she's there completely. This is one of those times. "Oh hey Minie. I see you and Tasha have met the new girl." Minie was Rachel's nickname for the young girl, whenever she sees Eve she can't help but think of Minie mouse. "Hmm? Oh nah, not yet. Just needed a drink and a walk around the flat before I turned in for the day. The workload was ridiculous today." She chuckled and shook her head, "Nah, I'm okay Minie. I had a cup of ramen earlier today." That had become Eve's job during the time she'd lived in the flat, to remind Rachel to eat. Often the actress would get so caught up in her work that she'd not remember to eat. That only made Rachel look more and more like she was being starved given she wasn't very heavy to start with. "I was just stretching my legs before turning in for the night. Rachel noticed Eve nod and smiled softly at the brunette, "I think it's about time we both turn in for the night, eh?"

Eve nodded as Rachel explained why she 's men laughing a bit at the mention of her nickname that Rachel had called her. She never knew when it started, but it was a staple in all of their conversations "Ok, then. Just remember to eat, and we're good." She was fully aware of her role as the reminder for Rachel about eating, and she accepted it. "Yeah, I am really tired. Staying up all night waiting do let on coffee isn't the best, is it?" She an open her lips forming a smile as she stretched, a yawn cutting through her eyes.
"Well, if that is all, then good night? I've got to get some shut-eye." She said, already moving to her room. Once inside, she barely took notice of the decor in the room, having grown used to it. It was a light pale beige color, with a dark red carpet. A few bookshelves were on the walls, with books ranging from sci-fi to fantasy to nonfiction. The desk was organized neatly, with a few stray pencils and books laying on its surface. She took off her uniform from work, absentmindedly putting on her pajamas, and subsequently falling into the warm embrace of her bed, her mind drifting into the realm of dreams.
