It's been forever since I've had to make one of these, hopefully it's up to snuff!
Name: Emily Matrisha
Moniker: Chroma
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Birthplace: New York, New York
Height: 5’5”
Weight: 120lbs
Hair: A dark brown, falling to her mid-back in loose waves. Hair color has been known to temporarily change at times.
Eyes: Green
Scars/handicaps: Vitiligo. The most noticeably affected areas are her legs and her left wrist. She has small patches of pigment loss on other parts of her body, however these tend to be smaller patches and therefore less noticeable.
Dress:
Typically her outfits look very flowy and light weight.
Some examples of outfits would be:
- Light cream dress, jean jacket, red tights, brown short boots and possibly a scarf
- Cream sleeveless shirt, jean shorts, black tights (or black jean shorts and a color for her tights) and short boots.
Most of her tops, skirts and dresses are pastel colored, while most of her shorts, pants, legging, tights, stockings, and accessories tend to be darker.
Rarely are her legs bare, even in the summer. She can usually be found wearing pants or wearing leggings/stockings/tights on under her shorts, skirts or dress to hide the pigment loss on her legs. She usually also has bracelets or clumps of hair ties on her left wrist to hide the pigment loss there as well. Can usually be found wearing her owl timekeeping necklace, (the owl looks perched with its wings closed until she checks the time and the wings slide open to show the little clock there), the necklace hangs to about where her ribs end so she can turn it and see the clock herself when checking the time. The owl itself fits pretty snuggly in the palm of her hand. (She also secretly named her little owl Hootie, but that’s not really relevant)
Preferred color: You’re…you’re trying to make her choose?! Sorry not possible, try again later.
Darwin status: Freak
Power Tier: One
Power Type: Energy
Core ability: Color manipulation
Powered Skills: Can temporarily change the colors of objects.
Power uses include: finding the right color to paint her room, changing the color of a stain to match her clothes until she can change, changing the color of someone’s eyeballs and blinding them, never dealing with mismatching socks (well, unless she wants to), never having to question if a hairstyle would look nice on her, moving ‘images’ and illusions from a constant re-coloring of surfaces, instant make-up in a pinch, tricking friends (and not friends, feeding false images and colors to cameras (you know something’s wrong when the thermal scans are showing a neon green rather than it’s normal colors), making spooky ghosts for Halloween and other special visual effects, and more!
Skills:
- Drawing/Sketching/Design
- Sewing
- Running (Personal best is a mile in 5:02)
- Eye for fashion (though she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t biased)
- Master of cutting straight lines with scissors and x-acto knives.
- Knows some Spanish
Training:
- Running track
- The internet for references and how to videos for art and sewing outside of her formal education
Education:
- Finishing up her high school education and prepping for college.
- Wants to get a degree in fine arts or fashion design.
- Has taken some college math classes due to placing out of courses to take before graduation and having to fulfill the required number of math classes t graduate.
Relationship status: Single
Job: Student
Goal: To become a designer or otherwise find a way to meaningfully use her art skills
in her work
Hardship: Being taken seriously as a Darwin with her power set
Greatest Fear: Failure, both in general and in being able to achieve the future she wants for herself
Strongest Trait: Social
Weakest Trait: Poor sense of time
Idioms:
- “Mother Goose and all her goose-lings!”/”Mother of Geese!” – In surprise
- “No, I can’t look! I’m hurt and offended that you even remotely thought that was OK!” – About poor fashion choices. Usually only in reference to things such as a winter skirt with a summer top and other mismatches rather than actual fashion choices.
- “Is that even a question?” – When asked about wearing a fake mustache. The answer is always yes.
- “No stop! It’s gorgeous!”/”I’m in love!” – About a beautiful piece of art or clothing. Usually accompanied by little squeals of delight.
- “Oh can’t I?” – As she draws a perfect circle free-hand. Sometimes even though no one has asked her to.
- “Friends don’t let friends do stupid things alone.”
Self-Image: A capable, creative and organized young woman
Reputation: Naive (partially from personality, partially because she wants to go into art), but surprisingly good at math and organized.
Sense of humor: Silly and pun inclusive.
