Here are a few handy things I've learned with all the RPs over the years. -Having one player control the setting and NPC helps keep things both fair and forward moving. -Be fearless! I know it's hard putting out a thread and not knowing if other's will join in but if you've got a fun idea share it -communicate. A lot of RP die from confusion alone thusly the first tip -thread rules, if you have a specific aim of wants and not wants make them known up front rather than assuming folks can read your mind. Same goes for plot and story line though a clever leading character or two can help steer the action. -create a clear goal from the get go, jail break, job interview, social exploration, or talent show. It gives your players a target to aim for when writing it's hard to write 'just cause' when it's an RP -character sheets are handy!! It's not about knowing the strengths and weaknesses (keeping your character powers vague and secretive from others seems kinda underhanded intentional or unintentional) --the more the players know the better it's easier and that's good and it helps your fellows write better. --getting a feel for other player characters only makes it easier to interact and describe I'll add more as they come to me If you have any helpful hints share post'em happy to have more. any questions Go to Ask Snoe

Spin-offs! IF you have a solid story going between a group of characters BUT don't want to interrupt the progress of a current RP, and or want to create your own ALTERNATE path that may or may not have happened in the core RP feel free to create your own 'Spin-off' -Spin-offs should be 'closed' RP's since its more often than not a very specific idea and story to have in mind so a 'smaller' cast is usually called for -BUT there are exceptions as sometimes you just want to have a on the side 'party' or side quest outside the normal path of the core RP
-Also consider creating 'Sequels' if the Core RP comes to a conclusion and you want another adventure.
