A leader of the community stands in front of the people who volunteered as the scout party. There's a mixture of men and women, old and young, all having their courage and selflessness for risking their lives for this vital mission in common. "First of all, I want to thank all of you for stepping up. This isn't easy and you may know that the chance of all of you coming out alive is slim. Already, you're all heroes in my eyes." He says, making eye contact with each one as he does. He gestures towards a whiteboard, the room they are in used to be a boardroom before the outbreak. On it, is a map pinned onto it with notes surrounding the map on the white. "You will be heading north towards market of New Lincoln. From there, head South-east. They people on the radio say the government set up a fortified safehouse, regularly supplied with everything somebody needs. Food, water, antibiotics." He follows the trails with a finger as he speaks.
"Your job is to locate the safehouse and find the safest route possible towards it, setting up bright-points along the way. Bright-points are important, they will keep Howlers away from you during the night and allows resting when we're escorting the community through the route. You're on your own for this mission, you only have your gear and each other to depend on out there. Once you go further than the market, communications back to us will get harder." He sighs for a moment, nobody has ever gone past there with the consistent reports of high infected activity along with bandit patrols. The place is a death trap.
"Some things to remember. These could save your life one day. Number one, fluids are what cause infection. Don't let infected bite or scratch you, keep your orifices covered to prevent blood or saliva entering your mouth or eyes. Number two, noise attracts these bastards. If you feel you have no choice but to fight them off, use your melee weapons. Number three, avoid the night and dark places if possible. Howlers are always roaming at night and places like the sewers and buildings with no sunlight getting through is where they reside. You don't want to get ambushed by those things. Number four, light and UV light. Remember the difference, I've seen people get torn to shreds because they forgot that a normal light only blinds a Howler, not burns them like UV. It pisses them off too so only blind them if you're looking to escape." He looks at each person again. "These tips are important, memorise them well and you could cheat death itself. That is all I have to say... You will leave in an hour when the sun comes up, gear yourselves up and get to know your people. Good luck out there."
Roxy listens to the briefing attentively. She wants to get every detail down. She has everything riding on this mission, she hopes this place can provide her a steady allowance of antibiotics, if not a cure. She looks down at her gloved hand, where her little sister took a bite when she became one of those... Things... It was that hesitation, that it used to be her sister, what caused her to be infected. She is still devastated by both. This was supposed to be a holiday for them both after rigorous training for the sports coming up. While Roxy did Athletics, her sister was a gymnast. It's amazing how dreams and normalcy can change within an instant.
She shakes her thoughts away. She needs to be ready for this. She nods to their leader's words and heads for the supply room with backpack slung over her shoulder. She will get to know her group once she's sure everything is set.

Liam grins widely as he starts heading towards the supply room. Being stuck in this cry fest of a town was driving him crazy finally some real fucking action. As he walks the fire axe strapped to his back shifts slightly he'd had one of the ladies alter an old rifle holster so that he could carry it with him wherever he went, someone had at one point suggested he leave it in the supply room when not on a run but he'd just grinned at them and they'd run off. Liam knew he was a scary dude 6"5, very muscular and with a deep red birthmark across his face that made it look like the devil had slapped him. He hoped he got to kill some more infected it was like killing people except nobody came whining to you afterwards about "immorality".

Micah throws his pack onto his back he haves his fold up compact bow and a quiver of 30 arrows at his side a machete that has a spiked hand guarded. He similes hell this maybe some fun hopefully i'll be able to bag my self a new gun since I was robbed of my last gun. Smiling towards others runners to hopefully lift someones spirts but to Micah going out on this run was going to be a joyride to him. He loved to run away from the howlers let alone killed them it gave a joy that he haven't felt in a long time.

With the briefing over Robin looked over his new squad, Micah? Mike? Mikal? He didn't remember his name. Micah smiles at the group so Robin gives him a nod of approval. Micah was a good shot with his bow, that's all Robin knows about him. He never socializes and with his inability to talk it makes things more difficult then it's worth. His only social contact was with anyone who had things worth trading, he was running low on ammunition for his Glock, while he could make his own arrows he still needed materials.
Liam was a tough guy, definitely someone you'd want on your side, though keep him at arms length for you may accidentally be in his way. Robin has gone on runs with him before, and they get along well enough. They don't talk, but there is a mutual respect in skill, at least Robin likes to think so. Liam used an axe, which is the dumbest thing in the world, we know how the infection spreads, we have seen what it does to people why risk getting infected, learn to us a bow. "Maybe I should offer to teach him?" Robin thinks to himself, then visibly shakes his head no. "The less time spent with him the better."
The last one was Roxy she was...kind of cute. Robin couldn't help, but think that way. He shakes those thoughts from his head and remembers about her hand. "Poor girl lost her sister, and most likely her life." A somberness falls over him, he couldn't help but feel a connection towards her with father missing. He takes a knee and searches through his backpack, he had some antibiotics left over that he's been using as currency. He was over stocked as is "It wouldn't hurt to let her have them." He rationalized she was going to be on the squad, and her turning would make things much more difficult. He places the pill bottle on the ground next to his left leg, and goes over his equipment. Twenty arrows in his quiver, Glock 9mm with two spare magazines, his lucky K-bar, and the various survival gear. Including his medic kit, climbing gear, and flashlights. A small amount of food rations and water to last him a couple days if need be.
He walks over to Roxy with the pill bottle in hand, his face was turning hot to counter his embarrassment he pulls up his surgical mask and hides his face. Quietly he walks towards her getting within a foot of her, he shakes the pill bottle hard to get her attention. He looks away from her towards the ground with his arm extended silently offering the remaining pills to her.

Blair took a huge bite out of an apple she 'borrowed' from the food stash as she briskly walked to the meeting location. She was already late but didn't feel much of a sense of urgency. It was dark out besides the various lights set up to keep Howlers at bay, but she could see the sun beginning to rise in the east. Making her way to the old boardroom they used whenever runners had to be sent out, she slipped into the room, apparently only having missed the introduction. She heard their leader saying something about north and south-east or whatever, but her eyes were already glued to that map, scanning every inch of it. She barely listened to anything else for the rest of that meeting even though technically in these conditions it was perfect for her to finally hear uninhibited. Most people thought she was being rude when she didn't reply to them or acknowledge a greeting but most of the time she literally could not hear them. Such is the life of a woman slowly losing one of her senses. People couldn't complain too much about her though, she was the best damn scout they had in this whole place.
After delving into deep thoughts about how much she did for this place she was jarred by the sudden dispersement of people, the noises of the conversations slightly muffled against her eardrums. Not bothering to greet her teammates she immediately walked up to the white board and pulled out her own personal journal and map from her backpack, taking note of anything new and checking it against what she had already marked. While this would be boring to most, it was downright thrilling to Blair. It felt like an ever-changing battlefield, and she was the general keeping track of all the little pieces. The only noteworthy thing the mission map provided was the lengthening of on bandit groups patrols. Blair rolled her eyes, knowing full well that there was probably going to be much more out there not marked. She just had to hope that her own notes were up to date enough.
Turning around with hands on her hips, she looked at the people remaining in the room. If she had the names right it was, Micah, Robin, Liam, and Roxy. Not a bad group at all. Perhaps this trip won't be as potentially fatal as usual.

Roxy is pulled out from her focus when she hears rattling near her ears. She turns her head to see a dude in line with her step, holding a bottle of antibiotics. She stops walking for a moment. She recognises him as the quiet lad called Robin. She didn't many interactions with him before, went on two or three runs together but that's all. She turns her eyes to the bottle. This is a surprise. Nobody hands out antibiotics except the doctors, not even for favours. She's worked hard to keep her supply steady and struggled in the past, one day she even hit the fever state which was enough to scare anybody to death. Maybe he's giving them to her because she is the only infected of their group and wouldn't want her to turn during the trip, maybe he was just trying to be nice? She also notes he doesn't make eye contact. Perhaps he's shy and it's just his way of trying to make a friend?
Either way, the gesture is appreciated. She takes the bottle and smiles genuinely at him. "Thanks. You didn't have to, but thanks. You're Robin right? Name's Roxy." She holds out a hand to shake.

Robin nods his head happily, and gains the confidence to look at Roxy. "R O B I N." He slowly signs to her and then points to himself. He points at the bottle and then her hand, "Sorry." He signs hoping she understood what he meant. He pulls his mask down and mimics pulling something out of his mouth, and then shakes his head no. He points to his ears and nods a yes, trying to communicate the fact that he is mute doesn't mean he's also deaf. He looks around the room and points to all of the members of this mission. He points to Liam, and puffs up his chest he pretends to swing an imaginary axe. Next he points to Micah and mimics firing a bow. Pointing to Blair he takes his left hand and places if horizontally, then his right hand imitates a person running using his fingers as little legs. After which he mimics a stabbing motion. Pointing to himself he makes the 'shush' motion, taps the gun on his hip and bow on his back.
He pauses for a moment and points at Roxy while shrugging asking her what she was good at. His smile shines through as this was the most interaction he's ever had with anyone since well, his whole life. Most people think he's deaf, or just retarded, it was nice communicating with someone even if the best he can do is vague mimicries hoping to get his point across. The room had emptied out and it seemed just these few remained waiting to be sent out, hopefully soon every second they waste is a second closer to night fall.

It takes Roxy a few moments to understand these hand gestures, but she slowly works it out. Robin can't talk. She worked out that he isn't desk, but a mute. She begins to watch closely as he points to each member and making more gestures. So Micah and Liam are fighters with their bow and axe, Blair is... A runner maybe? Good speed? Scouting? Could mean many things, but the stabbing motion shows she prefers knives. Then she easily works out that Robin fights with his bow and gun, so probably a marksman... It took some effort and time for her to get the gist of the gestures, but she believes that she will understand him better as time goes on.
He then points to her with a shrug. A question, probably her skills. "Me? Well... I'm an athlete, so I can basically run and climb pretty darn fast. Learnt parkour as a hobby too, so getting through obstacles fast is something I'm good at... Not much of a fighter, but I have been able to put down a few infected with some self defence classes I learnt, as well as use the environment as my weapon, so that means I'm pretty perceptive I guess." She explains. It's weird, she has not talked about herself ever since this outbreak has started. For her, all that mattered was gathering enough supplies to survive through one more day... This moment to pretend everything is normal by just the simple act of talking puts her at ease, she finds herself unconsciously half smiling as she talks. She still sees Liam in the room out of the corner of her eye and becomes a little tense. The guy gives her the creeps and not because of the markings on his face. He seemed... Off. Whenever he is close by, every sense in her body warns her to stay away... Now she's stuck with him throughout this mission. Maybe he isn't so bad, but then again, maybe he is. She needs to keep an eye on him.

"Will then pleasure to meet everyone here name's Micah but just call me MV for short!" He says with enthusiasm "So how is everyone today I know doing this to survive take a load on people. But the longer we keep going at this it'll be easier the more experience we get with this. So do you on want to go over our route for our job in the park?" Says Micah just waiting to get out of the compound he wants to kill some howlers and have some "fun" that he so desperately need to have.
Pulling out a map of New Lincoln from his go-bag Micah marks down alleyways and entrances to the Sewer on the map. "The points that I marked are sewer entrances and alleyways I sadly only know about this area of New Lincoln farther out I don't know anything about that area." He says as he looks towards everyone.

"And that," Blair spoke as she stalked over to the map that MV had pulled out, "is why I am here." She pulled out her own map again and pointed out some of her own markings of the sewer systems, "I personally don't like taking the sewers because of how dark they are, but they're always good as a quick escape, provided you have the dexterity to match whatever you find down there. Your knowledge of the area however is still useful MV. Also just personal anecdote on the plan our leader has plotted for us, attempting to go through the market is suicide," she said rather quickly. She had just gone over that area a couple days ago and it had been cleared by one of those bandit groups, the Black Moths she believed. A lot of their people had set up camp in the outdoor area of the market and she was sure it was more fortified now than it was a couple days ago. Resolving herself to finding a new route, she cross-checked hers and MV's maps, "How about the park to the west of the market? Admittedly a longer route but it should still be secure and mostly free of Howlers. Honestly for me, if it means avoiding the Black Moths I'm more than willing to plot it." She looked around at the faces of her comrades, forgetting completely about introductions, "Oh, and my name's Blair. Speak to me clearly, I'm mildly deaf and communication is key out there."

"I agree with Blair." Roxy speaks up and walks over to the map. "Sewers are a death trap and will be packed with Howlers during the day. That's a last resort if we have no more options and are desperate." She points to the park area. "If we go through the park, we will need to make our way into the woodlands. Been reports of some Freaky infected there, some that the scouts have never seen." From what Roxy heard, the virus doesn't just mutate infected into Howlers, sometimes they become something else depending on their DNA... That's a scary thought. "But it's better than the market or sewers. If we stick together and stay on our path, we should get through without much incident." She looks up to everyone with a half smile. "Name's Roxy. That over there is Robin." She shoots a thumb behind her towards Robin, hoping he doesn't mind her introducing him to everyone.

Liam grins as he watches the little people argue. He doesn't care which route they take as long as he gets to chop up some corpses. An interesting squad they had here he knew Robin of course a sneaky little shit but there weren't any rules out there and he was damn effective so whatever. Blair reminded him of the gangs he'd used to get in fights with back in NYC that meant she would be tough and ruthless both traits he could appreciate though that hearing loss would eventually get her killed either by the infected or by him as a liability. He didn't know what it was about Micah he liked but he felt something like a kindred spirit in the kid someone else who'd learnt to let go of the past and enjoy the apocalypse. Finally Roxy... it was a shame really she was pretty sort of reminded him of his wife before the cancer had got too deep but she was already dead the pills just put off the inevitable and when it came down to it he'd be willing to swing the axe.

Robin is surprised at Roxy introducing him to the group, he shyly waves his left hand. He points to himself, and spells 'Robin' one more time in sign. He approaches the map and begins to study it. The Black Moths were a pain, but the parks were another story. Something was lurking out there and it killed a bunch of scouts recently ripped them to shreds. They weren't even eaten, just killed. Robin slammed his right pointer finger onto the map of the parks shaking his head no. "No no no no. I will not go there." He screams in his head, trying to convey his message as well as possible. He points at Liam, with his right hand then takes his left hand, and shows his pointer and thumb separating them about an inch away. He then points at the woodland area and makes his fingers nearly triple in size. Hoping the group will understand there is something huge out there.
He points to the market area and presses his fingers to his lips, making a shushing gesture. He traces his finger through the town moving from building to building avoiding the park, and most of the market. He points at the watch on his left wrist and taps it, then tries to convey that this will in fact take longer, but it will be the safest. He points at a building he wants to cut throw, and then taps the gun on his waist, this was Gun 'n' Ammo. A gun shop that had heavy infected activity at the beginning of the outbreak, so it should still have most of it's supplies inside. The next building he points to which wasn't much farther away was Walter's Pharmacy, he grabs Roxy by the hand and points at her bite wound then points back at the building. Gathering extra supplies was always a priority to Robin. Confident in his plan he smiles at everyone, following that he grabs a pencil and writes in an unused corner of the map. "I'll do whatever." Agreeing to whatever plan the group wants the most.

Blair's eye twitched as Robin wrote on her map, this thing was like her baby, but she understood what he was saying and mentally plotted his alternate route in her mind. Not bad admittedly, as long as everyone was capable of handling the terrain. The buildings, though they had an increased risk of Howlers, offered a lot more coverage than the park. Not to mention if things started to go south the park was nearby and they could easily detour into it. "I second Robin's plan. We can make some important stops for supplies before we even get to the depot that way, and it provides a lot more back-up plans than going though the park if we run into trouble," Blair said confidently. Pulling out a pencil she began tracing some routes onto her map on the floor, tracing the original plan, the park plan, and Robin's plan. She also sketched out some routes connected them, though not in much detail. After all, they were just back-up plans. Looking up for a moment she saw one member of the group, the one she remembered as Liam, looking over all of them with a predatory smile. Shifting uncomfortably she patted one of the combat knives on her utility belt, meticulously sewn onto the pants to insure she wouldn't have to worry about it falling off or flopping about as she ran. Blair decided instantly that she would have to watch Liam, and she hoped that the others had picked up on this as well.

Roxy nods her head in agreement. "Okay so Robin's plan will be our main route. It's longer, but we can pick up valuable supplies." She trails a finger on the path drawn. "The back up plans will have access points throughout this route. At the beginning and leading to the halfway point, heading into the market will be available and then past that and up to the end of the this path will be the park. If anything goes balls up, these are our options." She points to the park and market. "We will need to make haste, sunlight will burn faster down this way and we may have bandit patrols passing through..."
As she speaks, Roxy can sense Liam's stare on the back of her head and can almost feel his eyes gawk up and down her body. She has to suppress a shiver, she doesn't want this creep to catch on that he gets under her skin. She purposely avoids looking at him.

"Hmm so the Gun'n'Ammo that knock on wood hasn't been searched over then we have to get to the pharmacy for Roxy. I love the idea Robin the pharmacy is the best place to go mainly for the meds for the others here but I want to see if I can find a way into that Guns'n'Ammo to bring back ammo for here and maybe some guns." Either way just want to bag a few howlers and hopefully replace his last gun. "So if we're all settled on a course of action is everyone ready for our depart?" Asks Micah throwing his pack over his shoulders I hope these guys can keep up with me at least it would be a shame if his new group just died on there first outing out together.

Liam's very voice sounds chilling, making Roxy even more uncomfortable and squirms on the spot a little. Why does he sound slightly... excited by that? What kind of person enjoys killing something that used to be a human being like the rest of them? She doesn't want to know... She slings her backpack over her torso and attaches a sheathed knife on the strap. "Alright. I'm ready when you are.

Robin grabbed his gun out of instinct at Liam's outburst, noticing the anxious look on Roxy's face he grabs her wrist and smile softly at her. He pulls on her sleeve in an attempt to tell her to follow him. As he makes himself the leader of the group, he charges out the door. Heading outside he studies the fence that keeps them safe. A few walkers were wandering around nothing that they couldn't avoid. Robin scales the fence flawlessly and leaps over. Taking cover behind a run down truck, Robin draws his bow and fires two quick shots perfectly through their heads, he silently moves up waving the group with him. He moves up to the two kills removing his arrows. Waiting for the group to catch up, he leans against a brick wall keeping his eyes focused down the road.

Pulling her bandana over her mouth and nose, Blair pointedly ignored Liam's comment. She gathered her things and did one last check of her gear before following the suddenly agitated Robin as he pulled Roxy out of the room. Looking at the rising sun she kept Liam in her peripheral vision, she didn't want to be too close but also didn't want him out of her sight. Reaching the fence she watched as Robin effortlessly scaled the wall and landed on the other side, talking out two howlers silently and efficiently. Smirking under her bandana as he waved them over she kicked off some boxes stacked close to the wall and propelled herself over, only requiring a stray hand to support her upper body as she swung her legs over the top. Landing with a soft thud on the pavement and not missing a beat she took out her pocket telescope, a nifty little tool she found in a kid's room a couple months back on a supply run, and peered into the windows of the buildings down the street, checking for movement and for bandit markings. She didn't find any...for now. Relaxing a little bit, she took the time to retie her shoes. Nothing worse than a untied shoelace when you're running for your life.

Liam watched as Robin killed two buggers with his bow'n arrow. Liam followed Blair over the fence, people always under estimated his agility because of his size but he could comfortably lift his own weight and as well as MMA he'd been into rock climbing before the infection. He is tall enough that he barely needs to jump to get his hands on top of the fence and pull himself up and over. Once on the other side as Blair bent down to tie up her shoe laces he unholsters his axe idly playing with it in his hands. For a brief second he has an urge to swing it at Blair cutting her spine in half but he suppresses it there'll be plenty of killing later of that he is sure.

Roxy follows soon after Robin has left. She reaches the fence and climbs over it effortlessly with a kick up the wall and grabbing the top edges, before hoisting herself up and over with ease. Climbing things like this were child's play for her, parkour was something that caught her interest after seeing YouTube videos of it and instead of dreaming she could do something like that, she got up and actually learnt how to do it, just as a pastime. She joins Robin's watches him put down two aggros, a name given to them by her sister for the way they trigger instantly into an aggressive animal when they spot somebody. She is visibly impressed how quickly and quietly he did it, relieved she has somebody to rely on if combat is an unavoidable obstacle.
She looks over her shoulder to catch sight of the others. She sees Blair tying her shoelaces with Liam looming over her. She watches him casually unholster his axe and fidget with it, looking like he really wants to use it and his eyes are fixed onto Blair's back. She knew something wasn't right with this guy. She taps Robin's shoulder and nods her head over to the scene, she will want him to be aware of this.

Robin spots Liam he trust that Liam is smart enough not to kill one of their own, as it will end in his death as well. He looks back at Roxy specifically her hand, her infection was the more pressing matter on his mind, how long can they keep her going? If she turns he'll put her down clean its the right thing to do, but it isn't something he wants to do. Blair confirms the cost is clear, so Robin taps Roxy twice on the side of her leg letting her know to follow him. The street is bare save for a few cars, one in particular was a red Sedan the passenger side door was open and a pair of legs were sticking out. They weren't there two days ago, there might be something on this poor corpse.
Signaling he is moving up to the others Robin advances quickly and quietly staying low to the ground in a half crouch run. He leans his bow on the back of the car while drawing his gun and knife. Some unfortunate man was was laid out in the seat he had multiple bite marks, a revolver sat in his lap his jaw was completely blown off. Judging by the wound it is safe to say the unlucky bastard was bitten and decided to end it all but he missed, then bled out. As Robin surveys the scene, the formerly dead decides to have one last meal. It lunges at Robin, and tries to howl, but it's a fight between two mutes, skillfully Robin stabs it straight in the forehead, putting him down once and for all. The momentum of the body still falls on Robin for a second, but it is easily tossed to the side effortlessly. Picking up the revolver Robin counts how many bullets still inside it has three shots left, the gun is a .357 model 66 Smith and Wesson magnum. Looking back at Roxy he gives her a quick lesson in guns, since he's unsure of any weapons training she has. He shows her where the safety is, clicking it on and pulling the trigger, he switches it off to show her it was ready to fire. Putting the gun in safe one more time he hands it to her, picking up his bow he waves the rest over. He points at the building across the street from his position telling the others to move inside there so they aren't on the street for too long, hopefully Liam will move in first since he's well suited for close quarters combat.

Roxy follows closely keeps a lookout on their flank, incase any aggros decide to jump from the alleyways but also watch Liam. She doesn't trust him even the slightest. The way he looks at her and Blair, the way he talks about killing so casually, the axe fidgeting... Everything about him is really wrong...
Roxy snaps back to reality when she sees sudden movement need Robin, an aggro lunged at him but he swiftly put it down before it could even make a sound. She is once again impressed by his actions, she feels pretty inferior compared when it comes to combat. She hopes she wouldn't be a burden, she can tell people are worried but her condition when they glance at her hand. It's only for a moment, but she sees it. She wants to reassure them that they have no need to worry about it. It is then Robin picks up a gun and quickly gives a run down on how it works, before handing it over. It feels cold and heavy in her hands when she takes it, a foreign object. She's only ever held a gun before once and only came close to using it. It's an intimidating slab of metal and plastic, but it is needed to protect her, a knife will only get her so far. She smiles and nods at Robin.
She looks over at the building he points to. It's a small corner shop roughly as high as a two story house, maybe Roxy could prove her worthiness here. She makes a signal to wait at Robin and makes her way to side of it, crouching low to avoid being seen. There's a drain pipe leading upwards and after checking it's sturdy enough, she begins to use it as a means to climb. Within no time, she hoists herself on the rooftop. She walks to the edge of the building and keeps her head down as she scans the roads below. Roxy could now see the group's blindspots up here and spots a small group of aggros, two near a car and another staring mindlessly into the air, twitching. A freshly turned always twitches a lot and zones out, it's the easiest way to differentiate them from the ones further gone. Fresh aggros are faster and more aggressive. By the looks of their clothes, this one was a bandit, which worries her. Could they be close by? Or did this one turn and wander out to this location? She can't be sure...
She goes to the previous side of the building and waves a little to get Robin's attention. She points to the corner of the shop where the blindspot is and holds three fingers up. She then holds one up and makes a false twitch with her hand twice, indicating one of them is fresh. She hopes he understands this signal

Blair saw his shadow coming up behind her, but refused to be afraid. Guys like him fed off of fear. She continued tying her shoes at her own pace and got up slowly, looking back at him and narrowing her eyes, daring him to try something. While she doubted she could physically grapple with him, she was sure she could outrun or outsmart him, not to mention regardless of her other teammates' opinions of her that they wouldn't let him kill her. Turning back around she saw Robin and Roxy making their way down the street and settles into a light jog to catch up with them. Suddenly, a howler lunges at Robin but he dispatches of him quickly, but not before Blair unsheathed her knives. She watched as he rummaged the body, found a gun, and taught Roxy how to use it. Blair herself was averse to the use of guns, not only were they a little too loud for her ears, but their noise attracts more Howlers. She couldn't help but chuckle a little to herself at how awkward it looking in Roxy's amateur hands.
They approached a corner-store, a great place to scrounge up some supplies. Roxy climbed to the top and signaled back down that there was three Howlers around the corner, although Blair had no idea what that last symbol was. If that's true, they couldn't even avoid them. Pulling up her mental image of the map in her mind's eye they had to cut through that side street to get over to the Gun 'N' Ammo. Moving along the wall before the corner, she picked up a bottle left on the ground and through it across the street. As soon as it shattered against the car, she heard the three Howlers roar and immediately begin running towards the source of the noise. They were safe in the shade of the alleyway, but once they stepped out into the street they all began writhing in pain as they burned under the sun's UV rays. One was considerably faster than the others and the realization of Roxy's signal dawned upon her: one was freshly turned. Now that they were incapacitated and trying to reach the shade again, picking them off one by one was a much easier task. She stabbed the first one directly in the face, dragging down her knife, cutting off a chunk of its face before it fell down. She dispatched of the second one in a similar fashion, but almost didn't have time to react when the fresh Howler saw her. It came running, despite being badly burned. This one was a lot faster than the others so Blair was gonna have to get a bit creative. Taking off back down the alley they came from she saw an old emergency escape ladder dangling down. She jumped up and climbed, giving herself the higher ground. Once she got her footing on the emergency landing she balanced herself on the railing, waiting for the howler to get beneath her. Once he was, all it took was a quick jump down with her knives in hand. Landing on top of the Howler it panicked before being silenced by her twin blades. She stabbed repeatedly, unable to stop herself eve as the blood sprayed everywhere. When her arms finally tired all that was left was a bloody mess where the Howlers face used to be. 'Sometimes you don't know how angry you are until you fight one of these monsters', she thought to herself. Switching out her bandana for a fresh one in her backpack, she rejoined her friends outside the corner store, holding the door open for them and said a little out of breath, "Come on let's make this quick before more show up." She made a mental note to look for some goggles.

Liam watched impassively as the others took care of some Howlers round the corner. Not his kind of fighting all this reconnaissance and trickery but it got the job done and it was just making him more eager for some bloodshed of his own. He entered the abandoned building his eyes panning left and right eager for something to kill. There was one Howler trapped under a fallen shelf which made a vein attempt to grasp at his legs before his axe descended and split its skull. He let out a low whistle followed by here "You fuckers right here come and get papa's axe." Two more burst out from behind the counter; the first got the top of the axe jabbed into its face causing it to stumble backwards holding its smashed nose and giving Liam enough time to swing his axe into the other cleaving through its chest and sending it sprawling to the floor coughing up blood, swinging the axe back he managed to twist it so that the blade bit deep into the first howler's neck leaving its head attached by a thin strand of flesh. He finished off the the one that was still breathing by crushing its skull under his boot.
Damn this work always made him hard he thought with a grin as he motioned for the others to join him he could really use a women right about now but he didn't think he'd be getting any volunteers.
