"I'm tellin' you kid. The police force can't handle the goings on round this place!" An an old beggar with an outdated cyber leg tells a younger man. The leg is so old that it is in desperate need of maintenance, that is squeaks and groans with every movement, he even needs a cane to move around with it without threat of falling. The younger man looks to be late 20's, dressed in an expensive business suit and looking like the CEO of a big time company. Two belonging to dramatically different status' talking casually in the middle of a street, it's something like an inspiring artist would create. "You best bet is the Meta Agency. They are pretty much the enforcers around here now." His husky voice continues, the gentleman looks like he wants to be anywhere but around this guy, but he's desperate for justice that he can't find on his own, the elder man keeps talking. "Bunch of elites that decided to start a company together and became the best idea since bread and butter. It's almost like the borderline legal version of those Shadowrunners!"
"Where is this Agency?" the gentleman asks, realising the old geezer will go on for days. "Oh right I started rambling again... Just a few blocks in that direction." He points with a Boney finger towards a rundown office building. "Don't let the outside fool ya." He grins with yellowing teeth. The man thanks the beggar by weighing his palm with a credit stick and heads in that direction, the beggar yells his thanks on the way.
Once he arrives inside, he sees the place is surprisingly clean, despite the dreary atmosphere surrounding the outside. Maybe the beggar was right... He heads to what looks like a reception desk, the pretty Blonde behind it has glowing trails of circuits underneath her skin, most likely to increase her work speed. Almost everybody has at least one piece of cyber these days... "How can I help you?" the blonde asks with a smile that looks rehearsed many times. The gentleman explains his situation to her about the murder of his wife and would like to hire somebody to take care of it. The blonde asks him to wait one moment politely and makes a call through an earpiece, her circuits pulse as she does. After a few seconds of her talking, the circuits pulse once more and returns her attention to the gentleman, they must control all the electronics surrounding her.
"Wait one moment please. One of our agents will be right with you." She says with a dazzling smile.
(Meanwhile)
Dolly has fallen asleep at her desk, feet kicked up on it and the hood of her jacket pulled over her head and over her eyes. The PDA on her Cybernetic forearm begins to bleep with a group message, asking her or another agent's presence at the reception desk. She groans and turns the notification off. "I got the last one, somebody else get it." She mumbles before trying to drift back to sleep.

Kade sits back in his chair he has just got done with a six hour gaming marathon turing walks up to Kade "I have receive a group message requesting our presence at the front desk" says Turing face changing into a letter. "Why the fuck do we have to go why can't doll just go." Asks Kade unwillingly. "We must go Kade it's a group message for everyone!" His face turning red. "Okay okay." He gets dress in his usual wear then sets his eye off of gaming mode and then now sets E.I to RL mode. Then opens up the door and him and turing walk towards the front desk. Why do I have to do this shit right now.

"Because I'm a senior and you're not." Dolly calls out as Kade leaves, never bothering to open her eyes. She should wake up soon, but the case last night barely left any room for sleep and everything in her body feels heavy. She lets out a heavy sigh, squirms in her chair a little and drifts into a nap.

A.I.D.A. had been watching the man since he came within a block of the office, trying to assess reasons for him to come to see the services of Meta, the only issue being that she came up with every possible reason and feels unable to decide which of 56 million possibilities to go with. The only thing she can decide on is that whatever he wants is big. 'Is this what the organics call "Intuition" then?'
Turning her attention to the Investigators she watches Kade head out towards the front desk, with a quick hack she adds herself into their line of view to appear as if she's walking beside him. Right now she's appearing as her usual choice of a woman wearing a flowing kimono and wearing a demon mask.
"Hello investigator Kinton, I see that you got a new highscore in your game. I would ask to compete with you in the game but… it wouldn't really be a competition."
Following along with Kade she passes through anything that gets in her way as she walks with them.
"This new client, ask as many questions as you can. I would like to know more about them."
Following with Kade, Aida looks forward to see who this person is, and just how he will affect the Meta Agency

The neon lights still shine in his eyes even though James fell asleep four hours ago. He was two hours late for work, but that wasn't what was on his mind as he woke up. That red headed Elf girl was gone already, and he could see why, Scylla was standing over his bed with an angry expression on her face. "Are you mad because I'm late, or our you mad because I brought another girl home after a night of partying?" James questions her wondering how much trouble he was in. A cold splash of water hit his face waking him up even more. "I'm sorry I'm sorry use your words next time omae." He responds to the unwanted bath, with a sigh. He gets dressed taking his time making small talk while getting ready for work. "Come on it was, Claw my eyes out, and Astral Spasm they haven't done a show together in years I couldn't miss that." He tries to justify only to get more anger his way.
"I'm not mad about any of that, I chose you because you have the potential to be a great mage, and you waste it on parties, and people." Her voice is calming like the beach on a nice day, though at any moment it could turn into a tidal wave. Scylla wrapped herself around James as she always does. Her left arm over his left should her right arm under his, as her chin rest on his right shoulder. She controls her body to not soak his clothes, as they head out into the world.
After getting a soykaf James heads straight to work, sneaking into the back entrance to avoid detection he creeps through the halls. "That damn AI probably knows we are here and has told everyone how late we are, oh well better come up with an excuse." He whispers to Scylla, truth be told James didn't care for A.I.D.A. the thought of people comparing her to a living thing was an insult to everything he studied. Meta-humans were real, spirits were real, but AIs were just programs the were made by man nothing more nothing less, though he is smart enough to keep those thoughts to himself. Scylla on the other hand finds her fascinating, she has a strange kinship with her, even though they both are total opposites in creation, one being powered by magic the other the pinnacle of scientific discovery. The advancements of technology were amazing to her and she wanted to know everything about A.I.D.A., plus her being able to keep track of James was a bonus.
James turns on his communicator and sees there is a group message, for a new job. "Perfect I'll sneak in while everyone is there and they probably won't notice I was late." He thinks to himself with a renewed vigor. He steps into the office and notices no one is inside except for a sleeping Dolly, a sadistic grin forms on his face after remembering the little 'prank' that happened to James the last time he fell asleep at work. He nonchalantly walks to her desk and sits on top of it looking at Dolly's sleeping face. With a snap of the fingers Scylla pours some ice cold water on Dolly's head. "Morning chummer, you're gonna need more beauty sleep if you want to fix that ugly mug." James laughs as the water hits her.

Dolly is startled awake by the cold water, her body Jerks so hard that she falls off the chair and onto the floor. A string of unpleasant words leave her mouth, luckily they were in German so not many could understand her. She shoots back to her feet and the iris in her eyes begins to glow as they boot up, enhancing her vision and the person in front of her. Her scowl turns into a smirk. "I may have been asleep, but at least the boss isn't going to tear me in half for being so late. He noticed and trolls aren't good for patience." She quips.
She taps the touchscreen on her PDA to read the group message. "Another supposed murder case. Third one this month. How about that?" She says to herself. She whistles a short musical tune, like a bird call and and within a second, a Cybernetic hummingbird flies out of her desk and lands on her shoulder. "Resting in my drawers again, Shelly? You'll get locked in." She says to the bird as she continues to tap on her PDA. The bird lets out a tune of it's own, but of course sounds more robotic. She shrugs. "Whatever you say. Won't help you break out of there though." She says with a smile. The tunes Shelly makes are actually a code Dolly learnt to decipher into words. Similar to morse code, but more musical.
"But we got work to do. Comin', mage?" She says as she walks to the reception.

"I have taken the liberty to deduct 2 hours and 33 minutes off of Mr.Connors paycheck as well as informing your Superior about your tardiness."
Diverting part of herself from Kade, Aida creates a miniature holo projection of herself standing on Dolly's desk. She had been watching Seraph and his childish prank, why Scylla goes along with these things she'll never know. No matter, as long as no one gets water in circuits she couldn't care less what they do. Turning her attention to Scylla she gave her strange counter part a nod.
Turning to Dolly now that she has finished speaking to the tiny mechanical bird she begins to direct heating vents towards her in an effort to dry her off quicker.
"I shall speak with you two again later. And Mr.Connor, the boss would like to speak with you after yuo're done with the client." With this Aida disables her hologram, and while they may not see her the others will still know Aida is watching them.

"It wouldn't be Aida." Says Kade bored as usual only for turing to speak up "Kade you should talk more with excitement like if your playing CoD 30! People won't talk to you if you keep this up Kade." Says Turing as his face turns into a exclamation point. Kade nods just to get turing off is back he laughs upon hearing about Con's paycut. Opening the door to the conference room Kade sits on the left hand side waiting for the others, Turing takes the seat next to him.

"Drek." Barely escapes James' lips at the 'liberties' Aida took. "Don't pull the disappearing act on me, I know you can still hear me." He calls out to Aida. "Listen please don't I really need the Nuyen this paycheck." He pleads his case hoping for some mercy, though there most likely isn't. "Cut me some slack I used to be a runner, we don't clock in to go to work we work when we want. It's a hard cycle to break, besides I was doing something important for an Elf client last night." He lies hoping to lesson the damage to his account.
Following Dolly down the hall towards the conference room James starts asking about the case. "So what, I mean no disrespect to the dead, but people die in the barrens everyday and they don't get an investigation." James was from the Barrens the poorest part of Seattle where Lone Star fears to patrol. "This guy is either important enough to have some pull, or some serious Nuyen." James begins to ponder as they reach the door to the room. "You think those three murders are linked? Serial killers are worth the resources I guess, if not I say turn him down and let someone take care of it." He shrugs and goes into the room, Kade and his bopper are already seated.
"Morning Kade, how goes the um...gaming?" These two have very little in common so small talk isn't really strong between them. He walks to the side and pulls up a chair, Scylla goes ethereal and floats above the table listening to what was going on. "Let's get this over with, I got a meeting with the boss. Unfortunately." He sighs leaning back in his chair putting his feet on the table. Not paying attention to the meeting with the client, he begins to come up with the best excuse he could. "The boss doesn't know much about magic maybe I can just spin it to make it sound like there was a problem in the Astral Plane that I had to deal with." He looks up at the ceiling his face in deep thought.

Dolly grins at Aida when she applies to heaters on the wet patches of her clothing and gives her a mock salute before she disappears. "Cheers, Aida. You're a champ." She chuckles at James' pleading. "Elf client, eh? What was so important? Did she need some emergency jamming?" She teases as they walk. "Speaking of Nuyen..." She flicks a finger on her PDA and a holographic shot of a woman sitting with what looks like co-workers in a cafe hovers in front of the two. "The mother in law's alibi checked out. There's no way she could have been the murderer of her stepson. You owe me five." She smirks, she loves it when she wins bets against her co-agents.
"Meaning, we still haven't got a killer for this one, just like the previous two." She says as she swipes the shot away, thinking on James' words about the murders being connected. "It's hard to say right now, perhaps this next body will let us know..." She says thoughtfully. "Either way, we're not cheap. Therefore, we're gonna get some serious wage slips whether it's a waste of our time or not." She shrugs. "Well... Except you, you'll get a half serious wage thanks to Aida." She teases him again. Once they enter the room, Shelly flies off of Dolly's shoulder and lands on top of Turing's head, emitting another musical tune in a friendly greeting. It fascinates Dolly how Shelly has developed a personality to form bonds with other people and robots, it's why she sees Shelly as more than just chrome and circuits. She takes a seat and rests her heels on the table, trying to get comfortable and hopefully stealing a few minutes of shut eye.

Ignoring James pleas for her to return his pay, Aida does modify his files to show he hasn't actually been late this month; leaving him eligible for a pay raise. Not for him of course but more for Scylla, if James were to quit Aida would no longer be able to study her and the oddities of the magic being. Watching the spirit with heat sensors as it floats around playfully, such a powerful being and yet it chooses to follow a human. No logical reason to Aida, but just one of many questions she has regarding the strange being.
A moment after Aida pulls her attention away from Scylla she sends a hack into everyone with optic mods in the room to see her sitting in one of chairs next to Dolly, flipping through a newspaper with data streaming instead of articles.
"Dolly, your request regarding the Dalsinao case has been completed. Security footage showed the brother at the scene but the murder was in self defence, he likely ran due to fear and shock. I'll send dispatch to pick him after tomorrow, and since Mr.Connors is unable to see me like this could you inform him that he will owe me 15 in regards to the bet of me being unable to solve a case without a 'gut feeling'."

Dolly opens her eyes as Aida speaks. Her E.Y.E implants change from the view of the room to the footage as she talks. Well how about that? The murder victim wasn't so defenceless as people believed he was... Her vision returns to normal and looks to Aida. "You should totally become my permanent partner on cases, you would look good with a magnifying glass." She says with a laugh. "I guess we will have to charge him for manslaughter, since it was in self defence... Manslaughter... Always sounds a lot more brutal than murder, don't you think?" She asks.
She turns her head to James' direction. "Hey, chummer! You owe my girl Aida 15 Nuyen. She just cracked the Dalsinao murder, wasn't a hit after all." She grins at him. Currency isn't on his side today...
Soon, their boss comes into the conference room, the troll needs to hunch over a little to fit his massive frame through the doorway, wearing his usual business attire and Dolly could swear she has never seen him in casual wear like a shirt and jeans. Following behind him is a human man dressed to impress. His suit looks like it's worth more than her cyber augments and he isn't half bad in the good looks department either. Dolly finds herself more interesting and no doubt somebody could detect her heartrate increase slightly from looking at him if they scanned her bio signatures.
"This is Mr. McGyver." their boss says in a gruff and gravelly voice. "He has a case regarding the murder of his wife. This is high priority so listen to what he has to say." as if taking it as a cue, the gentleman steps forward and clears his throat a little. "My wife... She was murdered yesterday morning." The sorrow in his voice sounds genuine and Dolly's implants don't pick up any indications that he's putting on an act... "Lonestar have done nothing to help me find those responsible, just jumping through legal hoops and telling me that they're doing the best they can... So I have turned to you all in my moment of desperation." Okay... Getting a little dramatic now... "Money is not an issue for me, I want to give my beloved the justice she rightfully deserves. So I am offering a sum of 400,000 Nuyen for the arrest of this SINless scum."
Dolly almost chokes on her own saliva at the payment, which awards her a glare from her boss. She mutters an apology. But drek! 400,000! She has to take this case! Her boss knows she's the best when it comes to murder cases and forensics, she's perfect for this job!

Proteus was sitting in the bottom of the ocean. Everything was calm. Fish swam, occasionally sifting through the sand for food. Everythoping was calm. Across from him was a dolphin. No, not just any dolphin, it was Dolphin. His totem spirit. She's taught him everything he knew about the magic arts, and about how patience was a virtue. One of her famous teachings was that although it was good to be serious, sometimes a person should have fun. All of a sudden, Dolphin spoke. As each word was uttered, the water around them shuttered. "Very good, Proteus. Just one thing to say, though." Proteus opened an eye, curious as to what he could've forgotten. She spoke, simply saying, "You overslept."
Proteus shot up. Around him, the once peaceful ocean disappeared into darkness. Proteus opened his eyes, and was meeted with the sight of a... regular room. His room. For a few minutes, Proteus didn't move. Then, he quickly put his clothes on and levitated himself and flew to his job at the Meta Agency. As he flew, he saw Dolphin appear next to him. Proteus asked his Totem, "You just had to make me late, didn't you." Of course, Proteus said it in a joking tone, and Dolphin knew that. Dolphin retorted, " Sorry, it's a little hard to wear a watch when you've got flippers!" Both of them laughed at this. Finally, Proteus saw the sight of the Agency. He chanted a little saying to himself. He didn't want to undergo Aida's wrath. He shuddered at the thought. At the end of the chant, Proteus said, "Oh spirits of the air and sky, bestow apon me the ability to move like the wind." He wasn't directing this to any random spirit, though. He was diricting this to a good friend of his, Aeron. Aeron graciously accepted the request and Proteus could feel the wind push him forward. In a few seconds, Proteus was at the front door of the Agency.
Proteus levitated to where the rest of his team was. However, it was obvious that the luck spirit was not in his favor, as his boss, a rather tall troll, and a client, who looked as if he was about to cry. All he heard from the time he entered was something about his wife being murdered and... 400,000 Nuyen! To his side, Dolphin was upside down, shocked from such a large sum of money. Hah. Good thing he's invisible to everyone else right now. Proteus thought. Proteus slowly walked over to a seat and sat down, hopeful that Aida didn't notice. He wanted to get his share of that case! Although he didn't want to di the case for himself. As he was a Dolphin Shaman, he had an urge to help people. It was in his nature. Proteus listened intently, eager to hear more.

"No way, I got that one wrong let me see the footage." He takes out his comm, and studies the recording over and over, until a small chuckle breaks out. "The killer was a mage correct?" He ask Aida a question that he already knew the answer too. "But the victim was mundane. Nothing special about him what so ever. So if the killer didn't intend to kill his brother why did he use that knife? A stunbolt would have been easier, hell if he was a competent mage he would have just gone invisible and escaped." He stretches and lets out a fake yawn almost mockingly. "More importantly, why did the mage have a freshly dug datajack in the side of his head. The surgical job looks rough too like he got the cheapest Doc to do it, or what is more likely it was forced on him." He scratches his chin pretending to be in deep thought. "Now I'm thinking, and this is just a 'gut feeling' " He puts emphasis on those words. "But the killer may have been the victim as well. Someone picked this poor chummer off the street, slotted him and probably jacked some messed up BTL in his head. Causing him to believe well whatever they want him too. Pick the kid up, if he has a jack in his head have the script kiddies see if they can find out what was slotted their. If it's missing, well than don't expect to find him alive." Clapping his hands like a great detective from one of the trids, he says confidently. "If I'm wrong I'll pay you double." He goes back to leaning in his chair this time with his hood up.
A moment latter the boss and new client came in. James was bored and barely paying attetion, he not so subtly starts messaging the girl from last night. Cherrybomb is what she said her name was, and well she was something special. His concentration was snapped, when 400,00 Nuyen was promised. Something wasn't right, but then good old Proteus showed up late. He wanted to call him out, but there weren't many mages here and he didn't want to burn any bridges, plus his totem was a dolphin while James' mentor was a water spirit, so there is some weird kinship there. He decides to give him a nod of acknowledgement.
"Pass!" James yells as the man finishes his speech, still looking at his communicator he speaks without making eye contact with anyone. "First of all 400,000? Seriously? You glitter folk can afford state of the art protection. If you're willing to throw that much at us this is a bigger deal than you are making it." Raising his hand and showing two fingers. "Second, you're talking to SINless scum so I'd watch how you speak. Third, I got a bad feeling about this one, you got a stink on you chummer, and I don't like it." He looks over at Proteus as he lowers his hood. "What do you think omae? Feels like he's got something following him, or he's not telling us something." He shrugs reaching towards the middle of the table grabbing a Soykaf.
Scylla reappears on the table and smacks his wrist, wagging her finger at him. "You've had enough of that filth, have water instead if you're thirsty." She nags, the face of an annoyed mother stares at him. James grabs a bottle of water instead leans back in his chair, and pulls up his hood embarrassed, as Scylla goes back into her Astral form. James remains quiet for the next while hoping someone would agree with him, and they can all go on their merry way.

Hearing Dolly's comments, Aida feels an interesting moment of pride, it's not often people thank her for the work she was made to do, but that washed away quickly as James began to question her abilities. These are reasons why humans annoy her, letting his personal distrust of her cloud his judgement. Rather than respond to him she's sending a file containing evidence against his theory to his computer, even an AI doesn't always want to waste processing power on an endless argument.
Well at least she can intercept his messages to "Cherrybomb", leaving James unaware that his messages are being sabotaged before they reach her. During Aidas little game of silently tormenting James the boss walks in the room with their new client.
In the holo paper Aida's avatar is reading through the page she's on seemingly becomes an article about the client and his case. Strange… he may have incredible resources that he can throw Nuyen about willy nilly but 400,000 is large even for him, meaning he either is really desperate to solve the case or it's bait. Either way It caught Aida's curiosity to the point where she almost didn't notice Proteus enter through the window, but she still caught him and sent a message to his personal computer saying his pay was reduced for time lost. Is it magic thing for people to oversleep? Perhaps it's strain from the use of magic on their body so it requires more rest, Aida makes a note to research this later.
Hearing James go into his rant as to why they shouldn't do the job annoys her, not that it's James but rather that she's unable to express her own view. After all the boss purchased her for an assistant, not an employee. So she'll have to hope someone can make the argument to do this job for her.

"Sooooo boss? Who will be on this case?" Dolly says to break the awkward silence after James' little outburst. Guy has been in the shadows for too long with his conspiracy theories and paranoia. Maybe the guy just loved his wife that much, he wants to put her spirit to rest... It's rather romantic...
"You're all on it." He answers with a gravelly grunt. "We're linking this one to the serial killing." Dolly needed to rewind that moment. Did he say all of them? That's weird, it also means less of a cut for herself! But, never one to back down from a case, she nods in affirmation. "Where do we start?"
"Mr. McGyver has just had her body delivered to the coroners on Fourth Street. Begin your search for clues there." He replies. "Dibs!!" Dolly yells and rushes out of her seat, grabs her jacket and heads to fourth Street. "Meet you suckers there!" She calls out as she leaves the building and heads to fourth Street.

400,000 Nuyens I am low on some creds at the moment getting up from his seat walks begins to so does turing "Hey turing look through all the footage of every cam on 4th Street if you could." Mentally setting his E.I to connect with the web Kade similes there's no way in hell he's going to let Dolly beat him. Grabbing turing he places Turing on his shoulders then runs out of the office he begins to run towards 4th Street while Turing reviews the footage.

Watching the others starting to leave gives Aida the desire to leave and help as well, looks like she'll have to convince the boss to let her go. Over the speakers a cold mechanical voice devoid of her usual personality begins to speak. "This unit has a query. It believes that were an agent to bring it chance of success will increase by 33%."
An affirmative grunt is the only response the boss gives Aida.
"Some one grab the things chip on your way out.

Darn it. She caught me. Proteus scowled at the computer. Aida caught him sneaking in. Proteus turned his attention to James, who asked him on his opinion on the case. James clearly wasn't a fan of the idea, but Proteus liked the thought of it. Although James made a good point. Proteus replied, "He looks desperate, but you're right. Something seems off, but that could just be he loved his wife. I know I would. I do think we should try and help him, and it doesn't hurt that it's going to get us 400,000 Nuyen!" As he finished his sentence, he couldn't help but laugh at Scylla splashing at James. Thankfully, Dolphin wasn't that protective of him. He looked over at Dolphin, who looked at him back with glowing blue eyes. Dolphin had 3 streams, floating around him, some even had some fish in it. Dolphin spoke to him, silent to everyone but Proteus. "Scylla always was protective of her students. Very protective." Dolphin then chuckled, or as close as a dolphin could get to chuckling. The big shocker he heard all day, though, was that the whole team was going to investigate. That usually never happens!
The weirdest part was, though, that Dolly thought she could get there first. Dolphin looked at him, and could already tell what Proteus was thinking. Oh please. Proteus grinned, as he casted levitate on himself, and flew himself to Fourth Street. To give him the upper hand, Proteus asked the wind spirit, Aeron, to grant him speed. Proteus felt his hair blow from the wind, and his flight sped up. Proteus could see Dolly up ahead, running. Proteus sped up to go beside her, and casually said, "Oh hello! Thought you could outrun me?". Proteus grinned, and continued on, "Think again! Muahaha!" As he continued his evil laughter, he flew ahead, cackling. Meanwhile, Dolphin was laughing even more then Proteus.

Projecting an image of herself in the passenger seat wearing a lighter kimono and half demon mask Aida gives a tired sigh.

"Of course you're a person." Dolly says as she starts up the car. "Meat and bones is not what makes a person. You think for yourself. You made that automated message because you wanted to help." She shoots a sly smile to her projection as she says that. She grabs the soykaf she left in the car, not realising it's been there since last night. She takes a sip and grimaces. "Urgh, this drek sucks." She throws the cup out of her open window.
"Anyway, that's what it takes to make a person. Somebody who can think, can feel, can question what is in front of them. And you haven't turned on a misanthropic, genocidal A.I yet so that's a plus." She chuckles. The drive takes around ten minutes, especislly with Dolly eager to get to the scene. "Hope you're not squeamish, girl." She says as she gets out.

If she were capable Aida would be blushing. It's not often people treat her like that. None the less she was also happy to find the morge is set up with holoprojectors so she can project herself in the rooms. "Squemish? I'm afraid I'm can't feel it. I'll wait for you inside."
With this she stops the projection.

Dolly climbs out of her car and locks it. She flashes her badge at the Lonestar guarding the door as she approaches. She remembers the days when she worked for them. She wasn't somebody who was driven by a sense of justice or a position of power. She wanted to know everything about what is going on, which tied closely to the two and made her a very successful Homicide Officer. But alas, it wasn't made to last. She felt limited in her department, that she needed to stretch her skills further with something more challenging... So when Meta Agency offered her a job, she immediately took it. She nods to the Guard and heads inside.
"Miss Schafer, we have--" the Coroner begins to speak but Dolly cuts him off. "Just point me to the body and I'll get to work." She just wants to get to work before the others arrive or grab anything solid from another source. The Coroner sighs and leads her down into the morgue. On the bed is a young human woman. Her beauty is stunning. Even in death, she appears to be merely resting peacefully. Her cyber augments are something wonderful too. The smooth steel mixed with carbon fiber blends incredibly well, it is designed gracefully and it's shape is an exact replica of her arms, shoulders and shoulder blades. Fine silver lining trailing from beneath her eyebrows to the underside of her eyes, ending at the bridge of her nose and giving the look of natural eyeglasses. Her beauty and augments are like s gift from the old gods and new.
Dolly lets out a low whistle. "She is damn gorgeous... Wait... I recognise her!" She immediately taps on her PDA and brings up a profile, bringing it into a holographic display. "Elizabeth McGyver. Famous for her cybernetic modelling for Future-tech, being one of the first to wear the latest chrome. She has front cover on most fashion magazines and her beauty attracts all kinds to want the cyber she has... I want the cyber she has!" Dolly feels herself get a little starstruck, but she shakes off these thoughts and leans in close to the body, she hovers her cyber hand over the body, open palm. A blue light emits from it and begins to move across every inch of her body, her eye implants begin to highlight wounds, Distinguishing features and anything relevant in her vision, a few words of description accompanying each highlight. "Aida, be a sweetheart and record what the E.Y.Es pick up and stream it to the boss."
"This is Agent Dorothy Schafer, examining the body of Elizabeth McGyver. Murder Victim." She speaks with a more professional tone than her usual carefree one. She doesn't want another lecture about company mannerisms just because she used slang in her report. She begins with her face, looking for details that stick out. As she examines, she recites aloud her observations for the recording. "Victim's facial features show no deterioration nor do they have a datajack installed. This rules out the possibility of forced overdose and poison. Their neck has been cut from ear to ear, clean cut and no bruising on other parts of her body. This was quick and precise, the murderer knew what they were doing and took the victim by surprise, mostly likely from behind, meaning there was no signs of a struggle." Dolly narrows her eyes for a second. "All of the victim's cybernetics are accounted for, despite being incredibly expensive. The murder wasn't motivated by thievery, possibility of a hit. Need more data, recommending a mage to read their aura residue."
She continues her examinations. Some useful details, but nothing groundbreaking yet. She isn't done though, she will find something eventually.

Proteus lands out of the door, and flashes his badge at the guard. At first glimpse, Proteus thought the women was resting, but upon further observation it was apparent the women was dead. His eyes gravitate torwards her pristine cybernetics. While other mages hated cybernetics with a passion, Proteus was indifferent. In his eyes, if it acted human and could feel emotion, it was still human. He saw Dolly making observations, and presumably Aida was recording it. Proteus decided not to distract her and continued looking around. He needed the rest anyway, too much magic causes way to much strain on him. Thankfully he was taught by Dolphin not to use magic for useless matters such as grabbing the remote, moving a pillow or scaring away door salesmen. Which is really ironic, considering Dolphin had scared away the salesmen numerous times. Proteus shook that thought from his head and looked around.

Recording data and sending it to the main office Aida watches Dolly making observations and watches Proteus walking around the room through the rooms security cams. Using the rooms holoprojectors she emits herself to be standing in the room with the other, though this time she replaced her mask with a witch doctors. Ignoring the confused look from the mortition Aida just stands around waiting to help however she can.

Arriving at the Coroner's place turing flashes Kade's badge and Made walks into the room. "Hell looks like his wife." Says Kade looking at the body from afar. Turing jumps off of Kade then begins to walk towards the now deceased woman "Kade show your respects toward the decease plus were here on a job!" Says Turing as they turn red from angry. "Hmm did we ever get the locat on the where she was murder at?" Asks Turing as they struggles to look at the body till Kade pick them up and sets them atop of his shoulder.

Catherine paced up and down nervously across from the Meta Agency building. She was late, she was late! Was that ok? Were they going to be mad? She really needed this job she was low on nuyen and she couldn't go back to Ares and her running team were all dead and... She took two deep breaths, swallowed and crossed the street to the building. Entering she hesitantly walked up to the clearly chipped secretary and said "Uh hi I'm here to apply for the Rigger position I saw your ad on the Matrix and well here I am." She laughs quietly to try and cover up her anxiety.

With rain bouncing off of her metallic black suit of armor, making it shine as the neon lights from the surrounding buildings reflected off of the wet surface, Liliane sped along a sidewalk of one of the city's streets. After looking around for the figure that she was pursuing and coming up with nothing, she spoke into a microphone of her visor. "Um.. Finished searching my street." She betrayed some doubt, as her voice traveled to the earpieces of a squad of officers who were running a search of the other street that the criminal could have evaded to. Alongside a squad of elite Lonestar officers, Liliane had spent her day dispatching a criminal gang filled with street samurai. Though the rest of its members had died or eventually surrendered to arrest after attacking the group, the gang's leader was able to slip away from their building after realizing that he was outmatched. Liliane had immediately activated her adept magic in a way that allowed her to enhance her agility enough to scale the wall outside of the building in pursuit of the man. Though her abilities made her extremely agile in the moment, the weight of her suit and the samurai's robotic legs allowed him to out speed her and escape to the darkness of the streets. She believed that she determined which street he escaped to, however, so she radioed her squad and told her to investigate the one next street that was a few buildings away instead. Though the samurai was outmatched in a direct confrontation, she knew that he was skilled and more than capable of taking out a few officers if he had the advantage of stealth. Because of the increase in the danger of the situation, Liliane wanted to deal with the samurai herself rather than possibly putting the non-magical officers in a disadvantageous position. "..And I've found nothing. But there's no way he's already escaped the area. Keep looking."
After continuing to scan the rooftops that lined one of Seattle's streets, confident that the samurai was waiting to launch a surprise attack on her from above, she was proven wrong by the yelling from one of the other officers. She loudly cursed herself over the transmission for making such a crucial mistake, but wasted no time before running to her squad with magically propelled speed. Once she arrived, she saw the three remaining officers shoot at fleeing figure along with the body of the officer that he managed to surprise. Though she was running somewhat low on magic due to how much she had been increasing her agility to pursue the man as well as her strength in order to carry her heavy armor while doing so, the anger she felt at the loss of the man's life enabled her to ignore her exhaustion. She set her sights on the figure who was escaping gunfire by running along the rooftops and nearly scraped through the remainder of her magic by scaling the building before her. She was extremely exhausted at this point, but she wouldn't allow herself to let the man escape. The strict code that she had forced herself to follow throughout her life forced her to ensure that the samurai wouldn't escape his punishment. Shortly after she began the chase, the reserves of her magic allowed her close in on him. It became clear to her that her magic had been drained to the point that she wouldn't be able to rely on increasing her combat skills, so she would need to find another way to end the fight. She saw an opportunity when the samurai prepared to take the chase back to the ground. As the samurai rose into the air, Liliane let out a wordless cry and channeled the remainder of her energy into a powerful leap that roughly tackled the criminal into the street below. Though her armor and the body below her absorbed much of the impact, her head collided with the ground hard enough to send her visor from her head and along the pavement. As she checked the pulse of the limp samurai below her, she discovered that he was only unconscious. Satisfied by this outcome, she rolled over onto her back and rested enough to slow the heavy breathing that resulted from her exhaustion. Once she was able to build enough strength the stand, she picked up the defenseless criminal and placed him on a metal shoulder of her suit. After once again connecting her digital visor over her face, she was mortified to discover that she had missed a meeting with the other members of The Meta Agency. "Schise!" She exclaimed loudly, her voice echoing through the silent street. Though her passion for ending crime allowed her to successfully manage both a job at the agency and at Lonestar, her team came first. She pushed herself to run back to the place that her squad had gathered before handing them the body and running off. 'Damn! I'm only a couple of weeks into this career and I've already screwed up.' She thought to herself. 'But at least I have a good excuse.'
Her suit was wearing her down as she sped to the HQ due to the fact that the magic that she would usually use to make the weight lighter had already been expended. Luckily, though, the HQ was a short distance away which was her motivation for arriving by foot in the first place. As she began to gain access to small amounts of magic, she once again exhausted her reserves to arrive at the building sooner. As she arrived to The Meta Agency HQ, she loudly pushed through the doors and nearly spilled out onto the floor of the main office. Her exhaustion caused her to double over onto her knees and miss the presence of the new face as she panted to regain her breath. The weight of her suit almost caused her to fall forward as she bent down. "I-In hindsight.. I probably should have.. driven here.." She said in between gasps of air, believing that their usual secretary would be the only one to hear her.

A once fun conversation full of flirty emojis and innuendos is now a torrent of how all men are the same, and how much of a pig James was. The bottle of water is crushed in his hand erupting in a geyser all over the table. He knew full well what happened and who did this as he scrolls through all the messages that were sent, that he didn't type. With his plans for Saturday ruined James decides he should start paying attention only to realize everyone has already left. The boss was standing with the client having small talk, it seems they go back a bit, thought they seem to have forgotten about James. He grabs a new water and walks up to the two. "I'll need your e-signature, here, here, and here." He instructs, pointing at multiple locations on his comm. "I'm a mage this is a standard agreement that you will, cover any expense I may spend on foci and other magical accessories, that you allow me to astrally project in any private property you own, and lastly that I may, if necessary summon the spirit of your wife and communicate with her." The man skims the agreement and reluctantly signs, there is a short handshake and James walks down the hall.
His comm speaks up, it seems the new hire is late. "How appropriate." James chuckles out loud to Scylla. "Since I'm the only one here I guess I'll do the interview." An evil smile crawls across his face. He loved breaking in new recruits, unfortunately today he didn't have enough time to fully have fun. He walks past the secretaries desk and picks up her PDA he then pulls up the recruits file. "You do know what it means to be on time?" He raises an eyebrow at the orc. "Catherine? Or do you prefer 'Gear'?" He keeps an official tone, enjoying his fun as Scylla wraps herself around him resting her head on his right shoulder. "Ares corp huh? I'm an ex-Ares man myself. I got a few friends over there maybe, I should see if there's a bounty on you." He blurts into a laugh as he can't control his facade anymore. "Nah I'm screwing with you chummer." He looks over to see super cop out of breathe on the floor, he passes the bottle of water to Scylla, who proceeds to bring it to Liliane "Looks like another persons late today. Careful Aida is docking pay like it's going out of fashion." He yells across the reception room, as he takes a few steps past Gear, he grabs his spellbook and begins chanting few words, his hands and eyes glow green, in a flash a green aura outlines Liliane. "That was crank, it'll make you feel like you just got eight hours of sleep, be careful though it's highly addictive, and you still need to rest." A little bit of Scylla's mothering rubs off on him, as he can't help himself, but take care of his team.
Turning back to Gear he looks her over then goes back to her PDA. "Ok you're good with tech, you used to run the shadows. So did I guess we never ran into each other at Ares or in the dark. Congratulations you're hired." He does a slow golf clap. "We are investigating a murder currently everyone is at the coroners, the two of you need to head over there. I sent Liliane the details I'll let Dolly know to expect you guys. Scylla could you please go tell everyone else I'll be there soon. Oh I'm James by the way nice to meet you." With that he walks away and heads towards the offices. He finds Dolly's desk and sits in her chair. He never liked how she always stuck up for Aida, and her chair was pretty comfortable. He leans back into the chair, and puts his feet up on the desk.
His eye glaze over and the world turns a slight grey, as he pulls himself out of his body. He was weightless, a quite literal ghost. The astral plane was a second home to him. A place where spirits, and the unexplained exist just outside our world. The Astral plane is a mirror of our own, but more. All the solid objects are merely shadows, while the living are bright lights moving about there day, the brighter lights that can be rainbows of color are the awakened. Magical people, animals, and spirits can be seen easily if they are strong of will. Looking towards the entrance of the agency, the secretary, the recruit, and the one woman tank, all shown brightly, though Liliane was much brighter due to her magical ability. The cyber contaminating her aura dims it a bit, but it was impressive how strong she was.
He moves at speeds much faster then normal and arrives at the Coroners office before the girls even leave the entrance. Arriving he spots Dolly's aura standing over the body, Proteus, and Dolphin stand to the side. Kade was there and so was what he can assume was Turing based on the shape of the shadow. Aida was probably there though her lack of actual life, makes her undetectable to him. Scylla notices James, and materializes back to the Meta plane. "Hello everyone." She says to the group in a calm tone. "James is here in the Astral plane. Since he can't talk to you all, because you are all of the Meta plane. As a spirit I am of both planes so I can act as his translator." She states very matter of factually. She makes a throat clearing noise, as a signal that she was about to begin. "As of the end of this sentence everything I say will be from James." She looks up at where James is and nods. James floats down and stands over the woman. As he talks the words are lost to everyone, but Scylla and Dolphin. Scylla begins to translate. "This woman is too chromed up. Her spirit is gone." Her voice becomes monotone as she focuses on getting everything correct. "I have a few ideas, though none of them, are traditional. Bring her body to the murder scene, I can try to summon her spirit their. Also, our new recruit is on the way with Lil." He adds one last thing, thought Scylla doesn't want to repeat it. After a silent argument she gives in. "I'm sorry for this Aida, I told him this was mean, but..." She trails off and changes her voice back to the monotone one. "Aida you crossed the fucking line, with that drek you pulled. Just because you can't have a social life doesn't mean you can fuck with mine." She intentionally keeps her voice calm, even though there is fire in the words. "I do apologize, I'll talk to him about this." With that she disappears.
Back at the office James reenters his body, he stands and heads over to his desk. He was going to need a lot of components, unfortunately he was low. A quick phone call to his favorite Talismonger, will remedy that. "Screech, how you doing omae. It's Seraph, I need a lot of stuff. I'm basically going to be pulling off the impossible, and I have a blank check so I'm sending you a shopping list and a drop off point. I'll need them in about an hour."
The troll on the other end begins to choke on his food. "The foci, the incense...yeah no problem chummer. We are mages, it's are job to do the impossible." He laughs and signs off. Everything was going according to plan, the only thing left is the fact that Cherrybomb was pissed at him, he needed a date for a concert on Saturday since he now has a spare ticket.
