So the general idea is to start from the year 1500 in Europe. The story as it stands so far is that in the year 1478 tears in the fabric of reality formed all across the world. At first no one knew what these rifts were until on the night of January twelfth great armies of both man and beast poured through them. These tears were quickly called gates. These armies tore asunder all resistance and reduced walls to rubble in a matter of seconds with their great weapons of war. After a few months of establishing themselves as the new overlords of the planet they announced that they were the Ankari Conglomerate. They stated that they did not wish to harm the people of Earth but would do so if talk of rebellion surfaced.
Play as Earthling, Ankari, human, or any of the many different alien species that make of the new comers.
I would appreciate any suggestions and thoughts on this.

So just to be clear they're aliens but no high-tech weaponry or anything like that? I mean like sure they can have awesome siege engines and stuff but no laser-guns? Also magic yay or nay?

So what's the direction of this RP? Is there a rebellion forming torwards the Ankari? Also what do the Ankari look like?

Can be either really. Depends on what people want. As for magic, I didn't really intend for it in the traditional sense but if there is no super tech then it would make sense for the Ankari to have magic of some kind.

Cool see (personal preference here) I don't mind them having super advance MEDIEVAL tech (giant trebuchets, basic explosive etc.) but I'd rather not have them flying UFOs everywhere. I'd like them to have magic but either make it incredibly rare or complex so it's not OP.

Could the Ankari modify humans into like biomechanical weapons/servants of their use? Like they're capable of magic feats and are faster and stronger than regular humans, but they have lost all of their freedom and obey every command. This slave bond can be broken.

The goal would depend on what you play as. For humans it would be to rebel. For the Ankari loyalists it would be to strip mine the planet to send resources to a home world that is under threat of invasion by a destructive race. For Ankari secessionists it would be to take the planet as their own and rebel against the current Ankari leaders.
That would be the first set of goals.

Well this seems like a cool idea! I do like Dodo's idea about modified humans, but I'd rather them not having UFOs and Mech suits and that. The humans deserve a chance to at least fight. I'm not sure if I'd have time for it, though.

The Ankari are a collection of alien races. The primary one being humans. This particular race of humanity are tall, averaging 7'9. They are often pale with light coloured hair and eyes.
Secondary members of this group are a race known as the Kveldulf, they are bipedal humanoid creatures. They resemble werewolves but lack much of the muscle mass and feral nature.
One other member of the group is an avian race similar in appearance to harpies. They are called Avalon.
Other variations of Ankari exist but are minor.

Btw, I don't think I'll have permanent characters for me to use in this one. Instead I'll be the one using NPCs and such to ensure the story doesn't boil down to just these few characters doing something.
This leads into my next question, since I'll be doing multiple characters it means that the group doesn't have to start out together. One could be in Paris while another could be in Rome or London. Would you want to start out in the same area or gradually meet up?
Also if you decide to not be split up then I'd need a country and city that everyone will be in.

How did you want magic to work here. Since we don't want it being OP but still use able I was thinking we do it similar to the 'thieves world' book series where magic is real and spells that aren't too powerful are able to be done without too much preparation. The more complicated spells takes hours of ritual and exact science to create. Alchemy is also present with old fantasy standbys like alchemist fire jars of acid things of that nature.

Yeah that was the general idea I had behind magic so far. The Ankari were able to defeat armies and crush walls due to spells that took time to create. I imagine it to be very similar to the Sabers of Infinity games. Where you can make premade spells and apply them to pieces of specially made wax.
