Hey Snoe. I'll have Amelia pull into the docks and since it's an evacuation ship, it will pick up a lot of attention so perhaps Enmel takes note of it? May have some other species shake down the refugees for an easy coin, an unfortunate group choose Amelia.

K Enmel will be headed back to his room at the tavern and in dealing with people that'd make his task harder in the long run. As seen with his handling of Ebel and Bol. Amelia may be getting a job after dealing with these exploiteers

Snoe; for when I come back, I'm assuming that Enmel has fucked off along the coastline towards a camp and away from the port-town, correct?

Where is Olen city by the way? It doesn't seem to be on the map.

Thank you. Do the Lomalum have much of any presence in Olen city?

Ikesk hold ports so most land areas they own are home to hired labor from many races.

Is this Olen city a large and prosperous one? Something to really take note of?

Fairly well known though it hunkers down during Feast season.

I see. Interesting, I was just thinking of justification to have the Lomalum brothers go to the city. I think I've come up with something.

A personal favour owed by their father to a certain Thusian

Oh, that works quite well actually. I was thinking of something like how Calthok is intended to see how other races are prepared to fend off the Corpa. And that Koa would be going to establish a trade mission with the city of Olen. But this works much better.

Snoe, you mentioned in your first post that Enmel has a kind-of-partner of each race for the expedition. Was there a human one mentioned as well?
|
|
|
Post by Snoe on May 2, 2017 15:58:34 GMT
Mentioned, no but there is one. Just like there is a silent Corpan investor. Both are of his seedier partners.

Oh wonderful, I love the seedy side of things

So, in regards to the journey to Olen city. What would be the most direct route to Olen and what would be the safest route? If the two are one and the same, please explain to be why that is the case.

Following the south side of the island chains. Shallow waters close to allied territory and Corpa don't cross often.
Open water is exceptionally dangerous because there are dangerous sea Aethirial and Sorrows in those areas since old wars occurred on the water. Even the Ikesk remain close to shores or between defensible land masses.

I see. Interesting, does the Lomalum nation have a navy? If it did I would imagine for them to be large bulky vessels.
|
|
|
Post by Snoe on May 5, 2017 3:48:55 GMT
Small sturdy craft actually ramming ships their cargo vessels are larger but built-in a way that the smaller ships interlock to form it's armor. Lomalum have to compensate for their own weight a little in concern to ship building.

Hmm, I suppose that would make sense. Ramming ships would allow for boarding actions. Can you give me a rough estimate of how large they are? Like are they the size of Greek Triremes or are they more the size of Viking longboats?

Another question, what can you tell me about Lomalum architecture?
|
|
|
Post by Snoe on May 5, 2017 17:50:07 GMT
The rams are about the size of a sloop class ship cargo ships around the size of a galleon

Architecture is very Greek Pillars stone clay brass nude caricatures and statues of historic persons and events. Lomalum are very body proud but practical full plate is only put into service during battle. Parades and marches are done in formal dress toga colored by rank

Oh and legends or hero's from other races that have a place in Lomalum history are asked to pose. It's a great honor and refusal is taboo

Post by Alexodia on May 5, 2017 19:20:16 GMT
That seems a bit rude on the part of the Lomalum.

It's like denying history to them. Cultural differences and all

Hey Snoe, iwanted to know, is a copy magic possible ? I mean as in the use can recreate a spell they never used for a given period of time/use. The caster will have to stay in contact of the caster he wants to take the magic from and stay focused for the duraion of the"copy", powerful magic will need more time to be acquired than simple magic.
