-Females are much smarter and more elusive than males, they are also much more aggressive and distrustful of outsiders.
-Meeting a Matriarch is often followed by death but its very rare to ever happen upon one.
-If a group of Male Akaraosh are cooperating on the surface it means the Second Matriarch is close and is guiding them.
-There is a lot of roughhousing and posturing among males competing for status with the females but due to long lives most males have one child to their name.
-Only the older of Aka venture into civilized areas as the young and middle aged Aka are tightly controlled by the Matriarch.
-They have a habit of gathering Neth crystal, will often clear it out of their tunnels when their is to much to avoid monsters gathering.
-Matriarchs have been known to 'gift' crystals to nearby settlements in a crude agreement of not looking for their Conclaves.

-There are less peaceable Conclaves that will bait others with crystals and precious metals when the local food supply is low, this is often being done as new tunnels are being dug and the Aka move Conclave to a better area.
-Never chase a Akaraosh into the cave systems, they developed a sort of mana based sonar in the dark places, these large behemoths will set ambushes in the tunnels and they are far too strong to take on in a location with limited mobility. The Matriarchs know this.
-There is almost no communications between Conclaves and when they do meet it is often met with conflict.
