Sub-Races:The Elves are divide into four main sub-races More information about each sub-race will be linked to the above. The Elven continent Laethyr is collectively govern by these sub-races of elves using the Cora system. Each sub-race elects a Cora (representative of their sub-race) who will elect the Cora Superior. The Cora Superior will make major decisions in the best interests of Laethyr. If a Cora objects to the ruling a council of Coras and the Cora Superior will be called to vote on the decision. Elections and Terms:Each Cora is selected by their race and serves terms in accordance with those practices. There is no enforced term limited currently. Re-Elections for Coras vary across sub-races though each Cora term is only long enough to vote for Cora Superior once and ends before the next vote under normal circumstances. Cora Superiors are Re-Elected every 10 years. The Coras will host a meeting to elect the Cora Superior. The meeting does not end or break until the Cora Superior is elected. In case of the death of the Cora Superior, an emergency meeting will be held between the Coras to determine a new Cora Superior. The current Cora Superior is a Forest Elf named Ishnel. At age 970 (physical age approximately 38) she was elected as the Cora Superior as part of the transition into a peaceful co-existence with the Kingdom of Alantus and Laethyr. True to her Forest Elf roots, many of her policies have been isolationist in nature. She has given her support to Queen Snoe in the form of food and other resources, in an effort to help put down the rebellion, but seems intent on keep Laethyr out of the conflict. No elven troops have been deployed to assist Queen Snoe. Alliances and Trade Agreements:The relationship between Alantus and Laethyr has been somewhat tumultuous over the millennia that each have known the other; due to being relatively similar empires with similar goals, the more discordant times have seen war erupt between the two nations. However, due to the Elves of Laethyr being more advanced, yet relatively peaceful coupled with the tenacity and determination of the Humans and Anthropomorphs of Alantus, the majority of the past has seen peace between the two nations; several millennia ago saw the two nations come to a fruitful agreement of peace, enjoying lucrative trade and a strong alliance between the Elves and the Humans/Anthropomorphs from hundreds of generations ago to the current day.

Sub-race: High Elves.
Average Heights: 6'9" for males, 6'4" for females; stop growing around 150 to 200 years old.
Average Weights: 220lb to 240lb for males, 200lb to 220lb for females.
Average Life-Spans: 1,000 years (usually develop at half the human rate e.g. look 10 at 20 years old; aging usually slows immensely when appearance is in mid 20's until appearance is late 20's to early 30's in terms of human appearance; aging then gradually develops at an even slower rate rate, usually hit this at around 150 years old; usually start to look elderly around 700 to 800 years old).
Are they closely related to other types of sub-races?: The oldest sub-race of Elves; most if not all Elves have a little bit of High Elf within their blood.
Landscape Preferences (Woods, Mountains, Cities, etc.?): Preferences for densely packed cities and metropoles.
Notable Towns/Landmarks: Eyse Dorei (Elven capital), Raenaarion (foremost centre of knowledge and learning in Elven lands; think of Oxford or Cambridge for the U.K., or Harvard or Stanford for the U.S.), Althyrion (the religious centre and holy city of Shasari, the main religion for High Elves and many other Elves; think of the Vatican for Christianity).
Religious Beliefs (main points or huge text your call): Mainly Shasari; next abundant is non-religious.
Views towards other sub-races (High, Drow, Wood, Forest): Mostly arrogant and derivative towards the rest of the Elven races; recognise their use and potential, but a lot of High Elves view other sub-races of Elves as inferior to themselves.
Views on Half-Elves/Pure Elves: See Half-Elves as half-breeds and not even worth allowing into regular society; very rare for a half-elf to have a place in High Elf society, close to impossible to accept them as on par with pure elves. See half-elves as having 'dirty' blood; the more prejudiced see people whom sire half-elves as elves whom engage in bestiality; very rare for such elves to be respected in society unless they had already proved their worth.
Views on Magic/Science: Devoutly reliant on both; see magic as the connection to the Old World and science as the connection to the Now World. Both practitioners of magic and science are extremely well-respected in High Elf society.
Notable Skill Sets found in Sub-race (Archery, hunting, climbing, etc): Seen as particularly proficient in politics, magic and science; what they call 'refined' traits; adept in other disciplines such as archery and hunting/tracking, but not to the extent of the Wood/Forest Elves.
Local Governance and Hierarchies: The Council (a group of twelve Elven political figures; the top political figures elected by the existing government, seen as the leaders of Elven society; can be any type of Elf as long as they are good enough; once elected, they serve that post until they die); the Elven Parliament (seen as the main branch of Elven government; all different types of Elves as senators for their city; elected by the citizens of that city; all different types of Elves are part of the Parliament for different areas of land); the Papacy of Shasari (the religious leaders and acolytes of Shasari as a religion; have influence all over the land except for government, but only have real power in Althyrion).

Sub-race: Forest Elves Average Heights: Males 5’10” Females 5’7” Average Weights: Males 165-170lbs Females 120-130lbs Average Life-Spans: a little under 1200 years When Correlating to human years there is the following data:
- At age 0 (physical age 0), they will age physically at a rate of approximately 1 year for every 3 human years, until the physical age of 15, data is slightly skewed from small micro changes in aging, but on average the rate is accurate
- At age 45 (physical age 15) their aging slows again to a rate of 1 year for every 5 human years until the physical age of 20.
- At age 70 (physical age 20) their aging process slows again with a correlation of roughly 1 year for every 50 humans years until the physical age of 40.
- At age 1070 (physical age 40), the rate starts decreasing again so that 1 year is equivalent to 3 humans years, until the physical age of 80
- At age 1190 (physical age 80), the rate of aging decreases again from anywhere to 1 year to a range of 1-2 human years until death. While uncommon to age much farther, or even reach the last bracket, it is not unheard of.
Are they closely related to other types of sub-races?: They’re similar to Wood Elves and commonly mistaken for the other due to preferred dwellings. They consider themselves distinct even if not all the other sub-races agree. Landscape Preferences: Forests and other areas with large trees, closely packed together. Notable Towns/Landmarks: - Defram: The village in the heart of the forest. Home of many of the forest elves. Typically isolationists and small in population, they do not travel far from home. The village itself is built high up in the trees and can’t be seen easily. The population is about 300
- Deferna: The grove of trees twined around each other so closely no light from above pressed through. It is considered a holy site less than a mile north of Defram
Religious Beliefs: There is a natural balance and spirits in the world that have been here longer than the elves and they are meant to be learned from. See their long times spent in a child’s body as a reminder that the world is large and much is to be learned. Views towards other sub-races: While they find some comradery in the wood Elves that sometimes stumble close to their home, they find they have less in common with the high elves outside of their long lifespans and even less in common with the dark elves. They seem decidedly glad they rarely come into contact with either group. Views on Half-Elves/Pure Elves: Half elves are generally seen as a curiosity or strange occurrence. Half-Elves age faster and are seen as more naïve, though otherwise aren’t ostracized (their true age tends to be brought up a lot though). Views on Magic/Science: Magic is seen as the way of the spirits and it’s a way of protecting oneself and being connected with the spirits. Science is considered an advancement of physical beings. Both deserve a place in the village if they are to survive optimally. Notable Skill Sets found in Sub-race: Climbing, falconry, potions and tonics Local Governance and Hierarchies: The village follows a small council of 4: The head of the scouts/hunters, the head of traders/diplomats, the head of the spirit whisperers (read magicians), and the village elected voice.

Views towards other sub-races: They exist, we exist so lets all just live together happily. War has no place among the gardens of gods. -High Elves: They stay in their cities, let them believe they are the best. It has no real consequence in the end. -Drow: Brothers and sisters that forget what love is, but a helping hand will go a long ways. -Forest Elves: Friends with great wisdom and long lives. Often find themselves moving caravans closer to visit them.
Views on Half-Elves/Pure Elves: A child of an elf is a child of the clan and will be treated as one regardless of origin, whether half elf or adoption
Views on Magic/Science: Magic is for shamans and elders. Science is another magic used by the humans and gnomes
Notable Skill Sets found in Sub-race: Excellent hunters, notable pacifists. Commonly used as mediators between small groups when agrements can't be met or when tensions are high. In rare cases where they fought in war they proved dangerous guerrilla fighters
Local Governance and Hierarchies: -Shamans hold large sway from when thy're selected at childhood based on magical and spiritual power, new shamans are selected when the previous one dies -chief/chieftess chosen by people who have had children in the group in a vote, they are replaced when they either choose to step down or when they die
Present Cora: Cheiftess Shryn, leader of the Pale Elk clan and has a tendency to keep her caravan near populated centers.

Sub-race: Drow or Dark Elves
Average Heights: 6'00" for males and 5'10" for females
Average Weights: Male 160 pounds Female 140 pounds
Average Life-Spans: 100-150 years
Are they closely related to other types of sub-races: Very distantly related to wood elves
Landscape Preferences: Underground
Notable Towns/Landmarks: Shadehaven the capital of the Shadow Kingdom, The Abyss a holy site where it is said is kept the one piece of pure darkness
Religious Beliefs: The Drow worship darkness itself however this does not mean they worship evil but simply the opposite of light. Sunlight is considered the antithesis to all they believe and any who walk in it are forever exiled from the Shadow Kingdom as 'Lightcarriers'. The Drow believe that one day the pure darkness held in The Abyss will spread and cover all the world bringing about a paradise for Drow kind.
Views towards other sub-races: Hate the High Elves, disdain most other species, have an odd fondness for the Wood Elves possibly due to historical ties
Views on Half-Elves/Pure Elves: Suprisingly tolerant as far as the Drow are concerned if you have even thimbleful of Drow blood in your veins you are as equal as any other Drow (assuming you aren't a Lightcarrier of course)
Views on Magic/Science: Willing to use both to further their cause but have a greater aptitude for magic
Notable Skill Sets found in Sub-race: Stealth, night-vision, archery, use of blades, particular affinity for shadow magic
Local Governance and Hierarchies: The Shadow Kingdom is ruled by ten Princes of Darkness each of whom nominally holds equal power and dominion. Under the princes are various clans that are constantly fighting each other for power. Any law concerning the whole real must be passed by at least six of the princes.
