Alice curls up further into Alex's hug tears streaming down her face grasping his hand tight as she struggles to control her emotions. One minute the floor is lava next Live Wire is a giant wasp then a clown with the head of a seal walks out the door, no wait it's just a giant fish chef. Harvey is raging in the corner turning crimson. "WHAT IS IT WITH EVERYONE TRYING TO STEAL MY LADYBUG! TOUCH HIM AGAIN SO I CAN KICK THIS FUCKERS ASS!" He's scaring her she's never seen him like this before. Alex is speaking to her softly and calmly like Smiley does in therapy she just leans into him feeling warm and safe in the cocoon of the apron and his arms. When he kisses her on the cheek she's expecting it and just thinks one word: peace. She smiles a little as he calls her ladybug. "Only Harvey ever-sniff-calls me that Smiley wouldn't let the-sniff- others because he said it reinforced t-t-the delusion." She took a deep breath and the tears stopped. "It's been a while since I had a proper hug even if Mr Fish's apron is in the way... ca... can I stay like this a bit longer?"

Highlight looks a little when she hears a voice, noticing Orbit. If she wasn't already emotionally exhausted, she would definitely want to hide from humiliation right now. Sitting here wasn't the best of ideas, people could see the wrecked state she is in and worst of all, the person who noticed was the person whose opinion matters a lot. She suddenly is aware that she is no longer in the privacy of her room and the cameras are active. She doesn't see it, but she knows that there must be one or two on this door and picking up everything. She dreads to think what the people, like Lyndall and Arthur, will twist this image into...
Her voice is hoarse and eyes even more red than before. She is just so very tired... "Everything I'm doing this morning is messing up." She says, surprised by her own words a little. It was easier to dodge questions concerning her, never wanting people to discover her in her vulnerable moments. She likes it when people see her as Highlight. Highlight is a hero and heartthrob, charismatic and charming. Sharna is just a stupid bitch that yells people into panic attacks and makes bad decisions... Everybody likes Highlight, not Sharna... So why she is revealing the insecurity in her to Orbit doesn't make sense to her, but doesn't stop. "First, I'm a complete bitch on the phone to somebody and that bit back at me, then I scream at Chloe when all she was doing was trying to be nice and understanding, because I panicked and wasn't thinking." She confesses in a quivering voice, trying her best not to burst into tears for the third time today. "Now I can't find her, I don't even think I should. I'm a horrible person, Dylan..."
It is then a large catfish man walks towards them she doesn't recognise, but it mentions it is looking for Alex's room. One of his creations. Apparently there's an issue with him and Alice... While she is immediately concerned for his wellbeing, what can she do in her state? She would probably make everything worse like she has been doing with everything else recently. She doesn't say anything but points in the direction of Alex's room, to the left.

Katie had just finished getting dressed when the door was flung open. She jumped, startled by the sudden intrusion. "What is it?!" She asked upon seeing the concern on Darrius' face. After rattling off what had happened Darrius turned around and beckoned for her to follow him. "Come on!" He shouted back to her as he rounded the turn with Katie just behind him.
A few moments later the duo was rushing inside the kitchen. Katie kneeld down, "Sketch I'm going to need for you to let her go."

"Sure we can stay like this as long as you want Ladybug." Alex grants her request as the two remain in a hug for a time. His heart is beating faster than normal and his tiredness is long gone. Jenny appears with a sly smile. "You're catching feelings aren't you dude?" She taunts him as she sticks her tongue at him and winks. He blushes as she picks on him, so he keeps talking to Alice to break the silence. "So Quinn is Smiley, and you're Ladybug who am I?" He keeps his voice calm and kind, "If I like it you can keep calling me that if you want." He chuckles as he rubs the back of her head through the apron. "If we need to do this again, I'll come up with something better than this ugly thing. Maybe something with more red? What's your favorite color?" A moment later Katie and Darrius return. "Afraid I can't Katie. I told her we stay like this as long as she wants. When she's ready I'll let go." He says kindly yet firmly, as he looks at Katie. "I'm fine now I've been dropping acid and doing shrooms since I was fifteen, one little accidental touch isn't gonna do me in, I'm ok guys. Besides she kind of needs me right now, I know what I'm doing I'm good friends with Dr. Quinn, you can contact him if you think there is a problem." He doesn't back down from his position, but he keeps a level head.
A few moments later Tahm returns out of breath again and holding the gloves. "My waffles!" He yells in fear as he runs back to the stove throwing the gloves onto the island. "Thank you, Tahm." Alex replies. "Katie would you like some breakfast Tahm is an amazing cook." He laughs as he remains in his hug with Alice.

Katie tried to get him to reconsider for a few moments but ultimately there was nothing to be done. He was adamant to stay where he was. Eventually she she sighed and shook her head. She turned back Darrius, "He seems fine now. Come get me if he gets like that again." Darrius nodded and Katie walked out of the room back towards her office. Darrius kneeld down beside them. "Is she alright? I saw you start to go into some kind of state so I thought I'd go get help."

Alice giggles. "You're Colours silly because... you make lots of beautiful colours, duh!" She snuggles into the apron some more it reminded of when her mother used to cradle her in her arms such a long time ago... before everything went wrong. She smiles as he talks about making her something. "I like lots of colours jumbled together! Like my hoodies." She gestures at her psychedelic hoody. She enjoys the hug for a little bit more after Darrius and Katie arrive then slowly stands up and holds up a hand to Darrius to show she's okay. It feels cold not wrapped in Sketch and the apron. "It's okay Music-man, Colours was helping me meditate like Smiley does. Smiley said Colours would help look after me because he's an old friend."

"Was he? That's good of him." He said giving Sketch a nod of appreciation before looking back to her. "You had me worried Alice. When I saw you on the ground I didn't have any idea what I could do to help. But," He says with the beginnings of a smile. "Since you said you were working on meditating I might have an idea for something that could help with that. Do you see my necklace?" He holds it out for her to see. "My parents gave me this, it's said to protect me. It helped me concentrate on my meditation when I got older. Would you like for me to make you one?"

Alex smiles as Alice talks to Darrius, Tahm returns with breakfast and Alex eats in silence he's earned a peaceful moment. "Perfect as always Tahm. Why don't you take the rest of the morning off once you're done with the dishes." Tahm bows and gives a smile. "Thank ya Mr. Tricamo, I'd enjoy resting my legs, there is just ta many stairs in this home. I'm not a young fish anymore, I feel I put on a few pounds as well." He laughs as he goes back to doing the dishes.
After finishing his breakfast Alex puts on his gloves and flicks Alice on the back of the head. "Medicine. Now be good Ladybug." He says sternly, a look of fake anger on his face is immediately melted by a smile. "I'll be in my room if you need me I got a bird to finish." He pats her on the head one last time, as he gets up and puts his dishes away. Tahm returns to the book as Sketch picks it up and walks out. "Jenny I need a crap-ton of silk of every color available, some sowing equipment, and something non-conductive to use as stuffing. Denim seems to work well." Jenny snaps to work, and a few moments later a bunch of purchase orders appear he lets the money go through his account, this is just a drop in the bucket anyway. "Ok it will be here in a few hours lets go finish Selenia." He says cheerfully as he walks the halls, it was quite yes there was the hustle and bustle of servants, but Alex is used to them, because of his years with servants of his own they fade into the background.
Opening the door to his room he notices that it is still a wreck. Paint cans lay all over, energy drinks and beer bottles cover his bed, and Tahm left his dresser open looking for the gloves. Alex sighs picking up his pencil, he begins to work on the head of Selenia. "Should be an hour or two then I can paint you." He says lovingly as he gently starts on her beak. A soft squawk can be heard one of appreciation at finally having a voice. "Selenia its alright, you'll be done soon and then you can meet the others. You are going to have the most beautiful orange feathers, everyone's going to love you." He smiles as he finishes her left eye it blinks and looks around the room.
"Home?" The drawing speaks, her voice is soft and gentle like a young mother caring for her child. Alex nods a bit surprised at her ability to come to life without being finished. "Selenia be still so I can complete you. The more you move the longer this will take." He hears footsteps in the hall most likely servants walking by, he notices his door is still open normally he likes his privacy, he shrugs it off just in case Alice wants to come in, an open door policy may be the best with her. A squawk from Selenia snaps his thoughts and he continues to draw her. "Selenia please, I need to focus." The noises stop as does her eye movement everything is calm and Alex can continue his work with out interruption this time.

"Really? Thanks Music-man!" Alice says with a wide smile. As Sketch flicks the back of her head she pokes her tongue out at him. "Fiiiiiiiiiine... Bye Sparky." She waves at Live Wire as she runs upstairs to her room. Searching for her pills Harvey suddenly grabs her wrist tight. "Ow! H-Harvey you're hurting me!" He looks down at her wrist for a second before letting go. "Sorry Ladybug but I'm getting worried about you all thses strange people touching you maybe we should call Smiley and go back Home." Alice frowned at him. "But I like it here Harvey the people can be mean but also very friendly if you give them a chance." Harvey was suddenly right in her face. "NO! They'll hurt you or get broken just like your family! The only person you can trust is me! You need me!" Alice was kind of scared now. "Harvey stop! Please?" Harvey looked guilty and let go. "Alright Ladybug but don't say I didn't warn you." Rattled, Alice finished searching for her pills and took her morning dose with a handful of water from the bathroom tap. Curious about the bird that Alex had mentioned she went looking for his room and found the door open. Peeking her head inside she watched as he painted a beautiful bird to like, like the one from Harry Potter but much bigger and not coloured in yet. "Does she have a name?" She asked.

Dylan looked at the catfish for a moment, before returning his attention to Sharna once more. He is way to used to this weirdness... "Everyone has that one day that they mess up, but it doesn't define them. Sure, maybe you messed up today, but why don't you apologize to Chloe? I'm sure she'd forgive you if you. Just one thing wouldn't make her instantly despise you." He gave a comforting smile, hoping to make her feel less depressed. He honestly had no idea what to say that could make her feel better, but he wanted to try, at least. He couldn't stand seeing her like this, it reminded him of his sister... He shook his head, dismissing that train of thought, and went right back to comforting Sharna. "How about you go to your room first, so you can get ready and calm before you head to Chloe, okay?"

Sharna listens quietly to Orbit's advice while hugging her knees. She is glad that the hood is over her head, she looks a mess and doesn't want to be seen in such a pitiful state, especially in front of Orbit. She doesn't notice that her body is slightly leaning into his. His warmth is comforting, helping her relax her shaky nerves. She likes how something so simple soothes her and her mind.
"But she's so fragile. She visited my room because she saw me upset, let me vent to her. She did nothing wrong and I just snapped at her because I was distressed. I can't imagine the trauma she went through..." Sharna says sadly, the image of Matrix having a panic attack on her bedroom floor haunts her mind. It plays out perfectly everytime she closes her eyes. She turns to look at Orbit when he suggests heading to her room. His comforting smile makes her find her own. "Could you come with me? I understand if you don't want to." she asks softly.

Dylan blushes faintly as he noticed Sharna leaning on him slightly, before trying his best to hide it. As she explains her situation, he smiles to help her be more positive. However, when she asked if he could come with her to her room, he was a little shocked. He brushed off his initial suprise and spoke to her. "No, I can come with you if you want me to. I'm happy to be able to help!" He stays sitting down next to her, and finds himself being a lot more comfortable around her. That was when he realized that the cameras were there. Shit. They were literally watching them, and now they're going to her room. Why did he have a feeling that the media would be twisting this? Oh yeah, it's what they do.
Dylan stayed for one moment longer, before slowly getting up. He held out his hand for her to use to get up.

Sharna accepts his hand as she helps her to her feet. "Dylan, really... Thank you for this." She says to him. Looking him in the eyes, she feels her heart begin to beat a little faster in her chest, thumping against it. She remembers how she explained to him yesterday that falls for people too quickly and that's exactly what's happening right now. Only this time, she doesn't feel silly about it, it feels so right. She holds his, interlocking her fingers with his and leads him back to her room.
Once inside she throws her hood down finally, her hair is slightly frazzled from it. She grabs her brush and begins straightening it back out again. She feels more confident when she looks good. She begins to go through ideas. "Where could she be? It doesn't appear that she's in her room unless she's the quietest person on earth. Maybe Katie's room? Our supervisor seems to have a soft spot for her so maybe she went to her for comfort... Or she could even be in the security system here." She looks up at the security camera in her room, concerned.

As they walk into the room, he noticed how neat it was. Deciding that this probably wasn't the time to mention it he began to look around for a place to sit as Sharna brushed her hair. He noticed how nice she looked with her hair being brushed, but he had to remember that this was her problem. Tuning out of his thoughts, he tried to tear his eyes away from Sharna and tried to focus on what she was saying. "I don't think she is in the security system, or at least in the camera here," he said as he noticed her looking at the camera,"she knows that people want there privacy. She won't just invade somebody's privacy like that. She probably is at Katie's office, though."

"Selenia." Alex answers her question his hands are tired as he yawns and turns to Alice. "Have you met Jeremy? He was the first thing I brought to life. He's my best friend in the world aren't you little guy." He walks to the bed and scratches the rainbow cats belly, a bite on his thumb is his reward for daring to scratch a kitties belly. "I made him out of Playdoh forever ago, and one day I went to bed and when I woke up he was licking my face and talking to me. "I was so happy I grabbed him and showed him to my mom and dad. They were concerned at first especially since neither of them are...were powered. I guess they were worried about me growing up in the Fringes." His voice grows somber, as he sits on the bed and pats the edge signalling to Alice to take a seat. "They were killed, by some kid no more than sixteen, he was an energy wielder and he killed them for the small amount of money they had. I remember being at this woman's house. Her name as Agatha and she was the local old lady who watched the kids on our block." His voice chokes, and cracks as he continues his story. "I was the last one there, I was never the last one there. Mom would always get me at 5:15 everyday almost perfectly. The cops came and told Agatha, she told me I don't remember what happened after that. The earliest memory I have since that day was a few years later in an orphanage." A few tears escape from his eyes he doesn't move to brush them off he just gently scratches Jeremy's belly.
"Anyway the reason why I brought him up is because, I want to see what happens if you touch him. Without the gloves, technically he isn't real, maybe you can pet him, you ok with that Jerry?" He ask the cat as he stops scratching him, Jeremy flips over and presents himself to Alice. "Sure I don't see a problem with it, if something bad happens just turn me off." Jeremy comments and beings to purr at Alice. Alex looks Alice in the eye and smiles and nods. "Go right ahead Ladybug, you said you like lots of colors and well he is a rainbow kitty go ahead, and give him a pat or two." He slides his leather gloves on as a precaution and waits for Alice to pet Jeremy.

"You think so?" Sharna asks as she puts the brush back into its designated spot. "It seems like the best place to start because if she's not there, then Katie would help us right? She cares for Chloe." She bites her lip for a second. "I'm gonna tell her what I did, everything. Maybe if I do... Katie could probably get a better idea where Chloe went to..." of course, Sharna is lying to herself. She wants to do this and accept what she's done and telling Katie this will be the first steps at doing just that... She will take whatever punishment she is given with dignity.
For a moment, she thinks back to what Matrix said about some people will like her regardless of her past deeds... Could Orbit be one of them? Could she even get the words out. "Dylan... Have you ever done mistakes in your past that... That you Fear people will look at you differently for if they ever found out?" She asks suddenly, her posture is more confident again but her tone of voice holds a heavy feeling of apprehension.

Dylan focuses on Sharna's words intently, wanting to be there for her. When she asks him if he had any secret he was afrid for others to know, he searched his mind for anything that was similar. "Well, I can't say that I do. My secrets, the few they are, aren't secrets due to me being afraid of others to judge me on them, but I can imagine it. Why do you ask?" He said, confused at the out of the blue question, and why her voice seemed to be in such contrast to her confident pose.

Sharna feels a twinge of jealousy for Orbit when he tells her that he has nothing to hide from people. She wishes she could feel that kind of freedom. No paranoia crippling you into thinking that one slip up will destroy everything... She wants to confess her Secrets, lay them on the table and risk that Orbit will not judge her for it... But she can't. It's far too soon, she's only known him for a day! While she feels close to him and can possibly fully trust him, she waits. Perhaps the two can get close enough that she can. Hopefully he will know her enough to not look at her in a different light..
"Nothing, I was just felt curious." She says with a smile, her voice matching her body posture again. It wasn't a convincing lie however, and it might be clear to Orbit that she hides a dark past through the jealousy in her eyes when he answered her question to the hesitation when she was tempted to speak about her experience in pornography. Before he could say anything about it, she's way ahead of him. "Come on, let's go see Katie." She says gestures him to follow her. She feels her charming attitude returning, thanks to the comfort that was given to her by Orbit. She feels ever so grateful. She will have to do something nice for him in return for this..
The two find themselves outside the door of Katie's room. Sharna takes a few deep breathes, preparing her words that she will say when her handler opens the door. Once she feels ready to face it, she knocks three times on the door.

Alice takes a seat at the edge of the bed and listen's to Alex's story. It was very sad and she wanted to hug him to try and make him feel better like he'd done for her but she knew she shouldn't it could just make things worse.
She's surprised and scared when Alex asks her to touch Jeremy. She swallows hard. "O-ok Rainbow Kitty I'm gonna try and think of something nice so if you see a rainbow fish tell me and I'll stop." She slowly slides her gloves off. Her hands feel weird without them, she normally only takes them off to bathe or sleep. She remembers the rainbow cat she'd at the Home, she'd loved that cat but Smiley had explained to her it was a not-real and it had slowly just... disappeared. She gently strokes Jeremy along his back, he doesn't feel the same as her cat but the purring spreading through it's body and up her hand is pleasantly familiar. She smiles and closes her eyes. Rainbow fish.

Taking a bite of her half-eaten eggs on toast before returning it to the plate lying next to her, Katie wiped her slightly greasy hands on the dishcloth she'd appropriated for her breakfast before she returned to her paperwork on her computer, her back pressed against the headboard and her legs crossed in the full-lotus position, stifling a yawn of tiredness as she continued to work. It hadn't even been a day, and yet there was still more work to do than she liked. She was perfectly able to keep on top of it, it was just a matter of actually wanting to do it. Which she did not. But it was her job, after all, and she was pretty damn good at it too if she said so herself.
Casting her mind back to her conversation with Matrix last night, she felt the side of her mouth curl up into a tiny smile at the thought of it; the entire situation must have been totally foreign to her, and likely something she struggled with in the moment. But she did well; she did brilliantly, in fact. She was still in the dark about exactly why Matrix was here, which was something she was getting progressively not okay with the more she bonded with the girl, but sh'd spent hours on the phone with her mother sorting out every detail, with countless reassurances that she'd be fine. It wasn't even irritating how protective her mother was; it was far too endearing to be irritating. Matrix was definitely lucky.
But Matrix aside, she still had to prepare herself for a potentially long day; the situation with Alex and Alice only just earlier was probably going to be enough already for today, despite the fact that she knew it likely wouldn't be. But these people were her charges; she would be remiss in her duties if she wasn't to handle them to the best of her abilities. Granted, more than one of them made her want to pull her goddamn hair out already, but people have a tendency to grow on you, even if you don't believe that to be the case. Either way, they were going to be okay, she mused as she ceased typing for a moment to grab the eggs on toast and bring it up to her mouth, barely getting a single bite before she heard three repetitive knocks on the door. She froze, the breakfast still hanging in her mouth for a few seconds before she pulled it away and swallowed the one bite she'd taken before setting the breakfast on the plate and wiping her hands once more before moving the computer aside, all the while analysing the knock. It wasn't terribly hard to decipher; not hard enough to be a man's knock, but too hard to suggest that this person didn't have some innate sense of confidence. Only one person who fit those criteria in the mansion.
"Come in, Sharna." she shouted calmly, not too ashamed to admit that her ego preened slightly once the door opened and Highlight proceeded to appear in the doorway. She hadn't done what she had for this long without being a smart cookie. She was slightly surprised at the presence of Orbit slightly behind her, though; given the rumours surrounding the both of them and their somewhat keen knowledge of social cause and effect, she would have thought that they may be more careful if they wished to project a platonic relationship. Which maybe they didn't. Mmm. Despite her slightly elevated mood, she was far too much of a professional to show anything other than her usual stoic but kind demeanour. Especially when she quickly noticed the slight wariness of Orbit and the valiant attempt by Highlight to conceal her emotions in that moment. Highlight had spend her life masking her emotions, but it sure as hell didn't work on somebody like her who worked with people like her on the daily. Her smile, while friendly and well-meaning, gained a slight edge of caution.
"So, you two." she spoke up calmly, shifting her legs off the bed and planting them on the floor, drawing herself up to her full height and crossing her arms across her chest, taking a step forward towards them. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Sharna was slightly surprised that Katie knew it was her knocking on the door without coming to it. She knew Katie wasn't powered at all, let alone anything to do with sensory or telepathy to identify her, so she is quite impressed. Entering the room, she sees Katie with breakfast and a laptop in front of her. The sight of her food made Sharna realise she hasn't even ate yet, nor showered. The chaos she created has made her forget her usual necessities. She doesn't feel hungry at all now she thinks about it, she struggles to build an appetite when stressed so it's nothing unusual. Still, she should make herself eat once this has resolved. The neutral expression of professionalism makes her feel comfortaboe but cautious. She doesn't know if Katie is the judgemental type or not, but even if she is then she knows for sure her job means more than personal feelings. Something that makes confession easier and harder at the same time, but it needs to be done.
She keeps herself looking confident but not overly. She doesn't feel wondrous about this, but it's the right thing to do for Matrix. "I wish this was a social call, and I think I'm gonna have to make it up to you later for this, because I believe I've made more work for you... In a bad way." She begins, keeping her voice cool and calculated despite her nerves threatening to collapse on her any second now. "I can't beat around the bush here and I know you would rather get right to the point so here goes..." She takes a deep breath. "I've upset Chloe, made her have a panic attack... She came to my room when I was upset about something that hit home. She came to visit me and we spoke about stuff. Made me feel better but then she mentioned my--" She catches herself at the very last moment, almost letting slip her well kept secret. She needs to remain focused, next time she may not be so lucky.. "She mentioned something about my past, something that wasn't exactly pleasant for me. Hearing it made me stop all rational thinking and I lashed out. I don't remember what I said but it terrified her." She says grimly, recounting the details starts to make her even tone falter. "I grabbed her wrists, obviously too tight because she looked in pain..." She rubs her arm and struggles to keep the eye contact with Katie, feeling all that shame weigh down on her again, but she presses on. "When I realised what I was doing, I attempted to help her calm down, telling I was sorry but she vanished, transported herself into a phone."
Sharna takes a deep breath and slowly exhales, not allowing her control on her emotions slip and she calms down slightly. "I didn't know what I was doing, I was in panic but this is in no way an excuse. This is my fault, Chloe didn't deserve anything that I did to her. I want to make this right, show her how much I'm sorry and repair the damage I did to her but I can't find her, Katie. I checked her room but she isn't there and Dylan found me in a state, suggested I talk to you. Please help, forget about me and my feelings, I'm doing this for Chloe's sake." She finishes with a pleading tone in her voice. Her hands shake slightly again from the anxiety she's going through, even her steel willpower is not enough to hold it back. She feels that she will be judged harshly not only by Katie, but Dylan also. She is disgusted by the details she went through and she has no doubt the others will also.

Hearing Highlight's opening sentence didn't fill her with relief. Nothing about it did; she was clearly nervous about what she was about to tell her, albeit doing a good job of concealing most of it. She appeared apprehensive, and reluctant to speak. And then she did. She told her exactly what had happened. Listening to Highlight go through the events of what happened, Katie marshalled all of her willpower to continue to freeze her face into an expressionless mask. Katie didn't even hear the last part of what Highlight was saying, despite her appearing to be listening intently to what Highlight was saying; she was too busy screaming internally as loud as she could.
What the absolute fuck was wrong with these people? Matrix had clearly hit a soft spot of hers based on her version of events, but how in God's name did events even get this bad? What the hell was this bad to garner such a response? You know what; no, Katie mused internally, her voice unnervingly steady even inside her head as her mask continued to stay in place, listening to everything Highlight was saying. Her outburst, Matrix's disappearance, and finally Highlight's inability to find her anywhere in the mansion. Even when Highlight had finished and was looking at her in apprehension and outright fear, her mask was still frozen on, more of an expressionless mannequin than a person in that moment. In fact, it was hard for her to even move. She couldn't; she even tried, but she couldn't do so much as blink. A girl like that and she ends up scaring her to death and then comes to her acting apologetic and asking her to clean up the mess, and now she can't find her; a girl like Matrix could be anywhere in the literal world, and she'd be terrified, and it hasn't even been one day before everything has gone to shit because these Heroes can't keep their goddamn egos in check. What the fuck. What the fuck. What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck, whatthefuck, whatthefuck, whatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuck-
-she breathed in slowly through her nostrils, breaking the silence that had settled across the room for several long, tense seconds. No. She needed to be calm. She needed to be calm, and rational, and be able to do her job; everything would just turn even worse than it was now if nobody could marshal themselves. She breathed out slowly through her nostrils, her gaze still unblinking.
"Right." she spoke up, cutting across the silence with a calmness that was far too tranquil to be natural in this situation. Anybody with a brain would get the meaning behind her unnatural sereneness; Highlight definitely would, she mused, beginning to think. It's true what she said, Matrix could be anywhere in the world. But Chloe isn't the type of person to jump to a random place, or even remain in the Interweb; a girl like her would be scared and confused, looking for any comfort she could get. She wouldn't just allow herself the solitude of her own tortured mind; she would need affection, need reassurance, need-
-she blinked once as her idea settled into her head. She was so fucked. Pursing her lips, she calmly reached into her pocket and took hold of her phone, pulling it up in front of her in front of the two Heroes in front of her, opening the phone and dialling a number saved into her speed dial, leaving the phone where it was and watching it ring in front of her, her expression still dangerously placid. As she watched, the phone rung, vibrating twice in succession before the call went to voicemail. She blinked once more, her theory confirmed. She wasn't nearly as happy as she should be for being proved right, though.
"Yeah, I know where she is." Katie spoke up once more, her voice still menacingly calm, still staring at her phone. No rings at all, it meant that her phone was off or inaccessible. Six or more rings, it meant that she wasn't able to get to the phone in time, but it rang twice. Twice meant that whomever was on the other side had heard the phone ring, saw who it was that was calling, and intentionally declined the call and sent it to voicemail. Three guesses as to why Matrix's mother would decline a call from her that quickly was two guesses too many.
Marshalling her faculties and her ability to control her muscles, she sprung into action; snapping her head up from her phone as she slotted her phone back into her pocket, she began to walk; a powered walk, the one she used when she had an important job to do. The walk that said "Get in my way, and I will legitimately steamroller you and not look back.". That walk. Her strides long and powerful as she marched towards the door, still in her sweatpants, a t-shirt and socks, she kept her gaze purposefully focused on the doorway behind the two Heroes, fearing for her own composure should she look at them for much longer.
"Wait here, please." she commanded calmly, her voice casual but her intent clearer than if she'd plastered it on a billboard: "Move, and I will rip you apart where you stand." She couldn't remember the last time she used that voice, but she often reserved it for emergencies. If this wasn't an emergency, than she had no idea what the hell was. "Don't touch anything." She added, her voice as steady as before as she marched past the two Heroes in her way, wondering just how quickly she could break her record of getting ready when she ducked into the hallway containing her coat and shoes at the mansion entrance.

The calmness Katie possesses as she speaks intimidates Sharna. She would honestly have preferred her screaming and ranting at her, this calm seems almost unnatural of a person. Katie either must have seen and heard of worse shit or she's very good at keeping a cool and level head. She is relieved to hear that she knows where Matrix is, but unsure why the phone relates to any of this.. There's obviously something that she's missing from this. Katie then makes her way out of her room and ordering the two to remain here and not to touch anything, Sharna would dare not to disobey. She rubs her hands nervously when Katie leaves and breathes deeply. "Okay... That wasn't so bad.. That went well." Sharna says to Orbit, trying to reassure herself more than anything.

Dylan stood rigid still as the whole scenario unfolded in front of him, not daring to intervene between them. In his mind he was thinking of what Chloe even said to make Sharna do this. Deciding that she'll tell when she's ready, he looks back at Sharna with a warm smile on his face as she speaks. "Yeah..." He said, about to ask Sharna what Chloe even brought up to her, before deeming it not appropiate right now.
"So, do you have any idea what to do right now? She said not to move, so I hope she comes back soon." He asked her, hoping to get into the kitchen to eat something.

Sharna sighs. She wished she didn't bring Orbit alongside her now, she feels bad for keeping him here. She wants to tell him he doesn't have to stay here, but Katie instructed them to wait here until she gets back and who knows when that will be...
"I don't know. She could take awhile." She says, taking a seat in the chair in the corner. She crosses her legs and just leans back slightly. She lets her mind wander. Would Matrix tell Katie about what she said that made her Freak out?... This is her main worry about everything. Part of her wants to keep hidden well away, just to keep it under wraps like she has done for the last year. All that could come out of it is bad news... Then another part of her wants her to tell Katie. She knows that has their best interests in mind as a handler and it would be a relief confiding in her and Matrix about this. Unfortunately, it's out of her hands. All that is left is to wait.

Dylan sighed as well, as he lent back on the wall. Feeling a little tired, he manipulated his personal gravity, changing the pull of gravity on him torwards the wall. His eyes glew blue for a moment, and as he did this, a weird sensation passes over him. When the feeling digresses, he was now laying down on the wall, while Sharna remained sitting, not feeling his manipulation of gravity. If it weren't for the glowing of his eyes, there would've been no indication. As he layed back on the suprisingly comfortable wall, he waited for something to happen.

"You're welcome. It should be finished up sometime this evening. I'll be sure to bring it by then." He says before she leaves the kitchen. Fromus and Ielele rest on his shoulders as small birds. "What rune do you intend to carve for her?" Asks Ielele curiously as he he exits the kitchen. "I'm not certain yet. It'll depend on the stone I find." He replies whilst heading back upstairs to get his shoes and his wallet. A thought occurred to him that it could take some time to find the correct stone to use, he probably should tell someone he's heading out. As he was passing the rooms he heard voices coming from inside the one next to his. He didn't plan on listening in but he didn't have much choice as he walked into his room.
As he went about putting on his shoes he listens to the man's story with downcast eyes. He never knew his parents so he didn't have anything to lose. But to lose them after living with them for most of your childhood? "Poor man..." Ielele murmured. Darrius nodded, he could hear the emotion in the man's voice as he spoke. Darrius sighed and resolved to pick something up for him as well on his journey into town. Might as well try and be friendly since we'll be living together for awhile. Maybe some painting supplies would do? Opting that he would be bringing back multiple things he decided to grab his pack that he'd brought along. He slung it over his shoulder and walked outside his room down the hall.
He went down the stairs quickly hoping to make the most of the day. Perhaps he should get something for everyone while he was out. But what? Well he can decide later on. Money isn't really an issue considering how he's been saving everything he didn't need to spend on food and board. He stopped at the doorway, turned and shouted. "I'm heading out. Should be back in a few hours."

Sven working at his desk hear Darrius's shout but ignored it at first. Then he looked up. This could be the perfect time to find out more about the target he knew the least about! "Or you could actually get to know someone." Said Intel. He looked at her, she was really becoming undisciplined. "Once again Intel I don't require your input on this matter." "Of course sir." Maybe he'd get a software engineer to give her a look-over in town. Dressed in his civilian clothes he slipped through the shadow realm appering beside Darrius. "I need to go into town for some things." He said slightly brusquely.

He had expected a return shout of some kind, instead the response came from right beside him. To his credit he didn't jump at the sudden presence. He was the man that was in the kitchen earlier. "Alright then. I don't believe we've met yet. My name's Darrius or Crescendo if you prefer. Pleasure to meet you." He says, extending his hand in greeting to the man.

Sven shakes the hand warily watching for any tricks. "I'm Night Terror though you may call me Sven. I know little about you Darrius much less then I know about the rest." Sven was trying his best not to raise the target's suspicions.
