Crow's voice rings through the communicator. "Hold fire until those scalies force him from cover. Then tear that fucker apart." There was an edge to his voice the even Calvin hadn't heard in quite some time. Not since Cal had been shot during a combat op. The synthetic seemed to go berserk, killing anything that came too close to his wounded comrade. His connection to Jennifer and Miku were going at an intense pace. "Miku, you alright?" Simultaneously he's speaking with Jennifer, "Whatever this thing is, there's likely to be more of them around the area. When we can, maybe getting you down here so you can speak with these things will be for the best. You've have more experience with foreign languages than we do." He chuckles ruefully, "Didn't think you'd allow your baby bird out of the nest quite yet. Don't worry, we'll keep the little lady safe."
Miku, feeling dazed and rather violated, shivers. "That was terrifying," She says to Jennifer but to Crow she replies, "I'm alright, just a bit shook up." Anger begins to lace her message as she continues,"Lets ice this son of a bitch." She says taking control of the mortar on the back of the Runefang. She has a beed drawn on the forest where the electrical strike came from.
Meanwhile the Dontarie run into the forest, their weapons drawn and at the ready. Tislak:"Flush it out."

"Understood." Is all Calvin says while the chaos was going on around him. He knew his objective which is all he needed. He presses a small button, and leans back into his chair with his eyes shut. A small needle comes out of the chair jabbing him into the back of his neck. A rush of cold chemicals pumps through his system, and it felt fucking good. He opens his eyes and the world moves just a little bit slower. The small subtleties of the world now become obvious, colors become more vivid, but most of all everything becomes clear. "I'm taking command of this operation." He growls excitedly as a sadistic smile crosses his face. "Edward keep up cybernetic defense's, Miku see if you can go on the offense with this guy. If he has tech to hack us we can try to hack back. If you can't then keep your eyes out for reinforcements." He barks his orders not allowing anyone a chance to interrupt. "Crow keep the suppressing fire coming." With that he activates his jump jets and takes for the sky. While in mid flight he activates his cloaking system and scans for life signs. It seems some of the natives are trying to help that will be fine, cannon fodder is always welcome.
"No need for the doctor. She'll just slow us down." He says dismissively. "Crow and I will handle the target." He pauses slightly distracted by the situation going on. "If she wants to play soldier we can have her run practice sims later." He continues venom fills his voice. "Remember that time in the Adirondacks Crow? I'm thinking we do that again." They were chasing down a spy who had sensitive information stolen from the Earth Defense Force. The EDF had Crow and Raven chase the target down, they had him cornered while he was hiding in the woods. He had a pretty advanced stealth system, that even concealed affected their thermal vision. Raven drew his chain sword and began cutting down trees randomly while crow shot every thing that moved. He must have killed hundreds of woodland creatures that night, but the objective was completed.
"Edward get your mortars on standby. You may use them ONLY ON MY ORDER!" He yells angrily, thinking about how Crow shot at the target even though he told him not to fire under any circumstances. "Not Crow me." He repeats himself in a more calm tone though the anger is there. Attaching his rifle to his back he draws his chain sword, crashing into the woods he begins cutting. His stealth system still active though it doesn't silence his sword, he starts clear cutting trees. A rush running through him here he was again a predator ready to devour his prey. Nothing to hold him back nothing to stop him, he was going to find the enemy and destroy it. Years of training have made his movements instinctual, he glides through the trees effortlessly cutting down the ones small enough for him to cleave in one hit. With well timed jumps and superior mobility he dances through the trees like fish swimming through water. Even Raven was pleased with himself, he hasn't lost a step he was still just as good as he always was. With the chemical cocktail running through his veins he was even better than perfect, he was unstoppable.

The monsters had seemingly ran off along with the Dontaries so Alanna continued to tail them. They moved faster then anything she'd seen cutting through trees like they were nothing but she knew these forests and silently kept pace leaping from branch to branch.

Oh no! He needs to get out of there quick! His tech was deactivated, and he didn't even get to see what was going on. Renic did evasive maneuvers, but he wasn't much of an acrobat. Luckily for him, the shots missed. Thats when he realized he still had some control over the robotic being. He tried to get rid of the protection, with limited succes. The counterhack only seemed to work for much more primitive technology. Quickly he decoded the language and turned it to his. Now his allies won't understand him, yet he will. If only I brought a snack, he thought, bringing a smile to his lips.

Bastion alerts Benedict that they are nearing the original source of the S.O.S. Batting some trees on his sonar Benedict picks up the movement from something large nearby him. Picking up the pace while the same time wary of what's out there.
"Bastion what do you want to do whatever ever out there on the sonar could be somebody or something. You want to set out a scout drone of just continue on?" Asks Benedict trying to figure out what his next move is.
"Given our situation at hand and the fact that we had given a S.O.S I say we push forward. But since our surroundings are unknown at the moment I also advise that we should have a drone out with us." Bastion's voice wary of what may happen.
Ben decided on what to do he gets up and opens up his locker and grabs a controller with a screen and a scouting drone. Opening up his mech for a second he throws the drone outside. Then remotely active the drone then gives Bastion control of the drone then pulls up the drone's camera footage on his HUD. Then turns on his external speakers then pulls up his mic to his mouth. Hopefully this actually works out for the best, Benedict's Mech continues on then turns his mic on "Hey am I late for the reunion?" The sound booms throughout the forest loud enough to be heard from far away.

A heart wrenching scream fills the air as Miku loses control of her body. The connection Miku has between Jennifer and Crow cuts off entirely. Her body slumps forward. Crow:"Miku?? Miku?! Damn it! Kill that won of bitch!" He fires at will into the tree line, sending the hacker flying from cover. After finally spotting their target the Dontarie swarm him. Two hold down each limb, the others hold their spears pointed at the soft spot in his neck. Tislak stands above the creatures head, "Not demon, but a magic user nonetheless." She strikes down hard with the back of her spear, knocking the creature unconscious.

Edward had been arming the Claymore's missiles, when Miku suddenly screamed behind him. Abandoning the pilot seat, and ignoring the sudden lurch as the mech's autobalance system kicked in to compensate, he hurried over to the copilot's seat. Pulling out a diagnostic tool he connected it to the data port located underneath Miku's hairline and watched as data raced across the screen, all the while silently praying to any deity that happen to be watching that the situation was not as bad as he feared.
Scrutinising the diagnostic tool he breathed an unashamedly relieved sigh. Miku's connection to the AI network had been briefly severed, which had triggered a safety subroutine, shutting down and rebooting her systems in order to protect her core architecture. Given the immense complexity of an AI, it would take several minutes for her to reboot, but there should be no lasting ill-effects.

Aaah... well he had had is share of fun but he was pretty sure the tribal aliens and the humanoids were chasing him down, so he quickly moved to cover inside a log. Not the most glamorous hiding spot, but a hiding spot nonetheless. However he was too late as the tribal aliens had held him down by the limb, and a spear pointing in a rather concerning matter. He couldn't reach his interfaces, and the tribal aliens seemed to have a good grip. Renic's mind started racing. He should've called backup! No, he thought, I can handle this. He began to wear a smug, confident face to his assailants. He couldn't show weakness.

"Alien in custody. Thanks to our new reptilian friends." Says Crow as he hops down from the shuttle. "Target is still alive..." He places the barrel of his guass rifle to the hackers head. "May I please rectify that chief?" He grounds out, his gaze locks with the creature. Miku slowly raised her head as she regained control of her faculties. A feeling of disgust resides in her body. Though she may be an A.I she was given an almost exact replica of a human psyche. So what happened to her was traumatizing. When she opened her eyes and saw Edward she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him close. She buried her face in his shirt and though she lacked the ability to cry, that didn't stop her from trying.

Renic looked blankly at his assailants. He had a gun and a spear to his face, and both seemed willing to use it. He couldn't hack without his tech, which was covered by the trabl beings. His mind began think up on possible escape routes. Should he try to communicate? But how could he, they seemed to be speaking a whole other language! He mentally laughed as he remembered all this started because he was curious. Well, if they're trying to interrogate him, this is going to be funny!

Hugging Miku back, Edward spoke quietly into the com, "Crow whether you shoot that alien or not, and I fully encourage the former, make sure to strip it of any tech. Me and Benedict should be able to use it to put together a defence against this." He look down at where Miku was still holding on to him, "I don't ever want this to happen again."

As she ran into the mech quarters and hurried over to the control panel, her breath became hurried as she rushed to input the code, accidentally pressing the wrong buttons twice before she finally input the correct code, hearing air softly whoosh as the compressed air was let out and the door swung open to reveal her customised mech. Looking up tentatively as she took in the gigantic mech towering above her, she was starkly aware of the mech dwarfing her before the plates opened themselves outwards, allowing her entrance to the inside of the mech as the lights powered up in the eyes of the mask.
"I would advise you get in, Dr. Barnes." A voice from the mech echoed, Jennifer's voice sounding slightly distorted from the outside of the mech. "Time is, after all, of a virtue." She added with a sarcastic edge to her voice that the less perceptive likely would have missed. Raising her eyebrows and laughing nervously, she headed forward and clambered up onto the knee of the mech, before turning around and falling backwards into the opening tailored to her body proportions, feeling the cool metal close slightly on her limbs as the mech closed. As the mechanisms lifted her up several feet to position her head inside the head of the mech, she felt her heart constrict and her breathing shallow slightly as the helmet activated, allowing her to see outside the helmet alongside various HUDs and energy percentage displays. "Dr. Barnes, your heart rate has increased beyond normal levels. If your claustrophobia is setting in, I can play your preferred music if you desire." Jennifer's matter-of-fact, yet slightly concerned tone came through her helmet audioreceptors, her voice now clear and recognisable as if she was in the suit with her. Which she was, of course; it still took her a while to remember that.
"No." She responded, much more forcefully than she intended. Blushing slightly in embarrassment at her irritated tone, her jaw set in determination. "I can do this."
"As you wish, Dr. Barnes." Jennifer's voice came through respectfully. "Be safe." She added, far too cheery to not be sarcastic, before the shuttle doors opened in front of her, allowing her access to the outside world. Feeling the suit perfectly tailored to her commands and controlling it with an ease that she hadn't felt once during training, she stepped outside with an effortless fluidity and activated the repulsors underneath her feet, rocketing into the sky. Feeling the jets burn underneath her feet, she rocketed into the air and pushed herself forwards feeling the mech rocket so much faster than she had ever been in her life outside of it. It was almost euphoria-inducing, as the she looked down in the air and saw a scuffle of battle a hundred or so metres away, a rifle going off and the trees rustling incredibly. Instantly positioning herself towards the action, she increased the repulsor output and headed off at new speed, reaching the action in record speed and touching down in an expert landing. Looking upwards, hoping to help, she felt her euphoria slowly drain out of her body and be replaced with disheartened embarrassment as she saw an extremely strange creature being forcibly held down by numerous small creatures, likely the tribal creatures the problems arose with earlier. As she assessed the situation further, she saw two of the tribal creatures pointing spears towards the predators neck, the tips dangerously close as one of the mechs almost vindictively held a rifle towards the predators head. Seeing every single head turn towards her in surprise, she was only too aware of the fact that she would have been shrinking down into herself was she physically able. She had missed the action.
"Umm...it seems like you didn't need me after all." She spoke up tentatively, internally kicking herself at how tiny her voice sounded, despite her best attempts to sound casual and nonchalant.
"Well, that's unfortunate." Jennifer mumbled, deliberately keeping her voice low enough for only Dr. Barnes to hear. Almost entirely unable to keep some iota of sympathy out of her voice, having stopped typing on the main computer several seconds ago, looking down as if studying the keyboard intently. Standing up from the chair she was in and slowly beginning to pace the room, she activated the synthetic link once more to converse with her A.I. family outside of the organics notice. "Denied, Crow." Jennifer announced, instantly morphing her voice into her usual matter-of-fact, authoritative tone. "I'm not particularly fond of the idea, but if it possesses the technology to invade our being, then I'd rather not take the chance to lose out on potential information. Especially if it may have some very upset brethren who may not take kindly to our murdering their friend. If you can, render it unconscious. And keep it that way." She commanded, her voice expertly hiding the vengefulness she wanted to reveal. It was a strange thing, for an A.I. to recall that she had the human emotion of vindictiveness; only Dr. Barnes and her A.I. brethren had alerted her of her ability to experience such things. Even if she never would feel emotion in the same way that humans did, by no stretch of the imagination did that mean she felt them any less potently. Just differently. "Once you've secured the creature, give it over to Dr. Barnes; she'll assess the creature as best she can." She finished, before dulling the connection once more, and sighing slightly. It appeared that their new life was going to become interesting far more quickly than she had anticipated.

Renic laughed, he thought the tech was necessary to his hacking ability? Oh how wrong he was... it wasnt the tech, his whole species can control tech with just their minds! Quickly he overcharged the heating in the robotic beings gun and deactivating any cooling sysems, which in theory would cause the gun to stop working and, depending on how primitive it is, causing the bullet to explode prematurely. Then he activated stealth systems, keeping in mind he was almost running out of juice, and kicked two of the reptilians holding down his right arm and punched the other two. Invisible to the eye, he took out some tech from his arm and placed it on all four of the the tribal men and the robotic being (think of a laser handcuff) and decided on his next move. He looked up and figured they must have the area covered, and it won't be long until their little friends come over. He looked at the robot and tried to download whatever he can, including their language. Turns out those humanoids were actually a species called humans who escaped their home planet, Earth, and came along with creations called Runefangs to colonize this planet. However in their breifing they had no idea sentient life was here. He started to have some sympathy towards the "humans" and debated whether or not to introduce himself. He placed a hologram of himself and sent a radio blast directed to the humans leading them to this location. Once here, the hologram of him shall send the following message:
"Hello Humans. My name is Renic, and I see that you wish to colonize this planet. Well, I do hope that you establish a good home, but I must warn you. If you ever dare to invade another city here, me and my allies will hunt you down. And don’t you dare say that you are a peaceful race, as the story of Earth was that you had fought one another for control, and your greed destroyed it. However, I must admit my mistakes as well. I had only wanted to see what was going on, as I am a man of curiosity. You have my sincerest apologies, and as one of your "tv show" characters says, live long and prosper."

"Understood command, Crow tag em and bag em." Raven sends the message as he deactivates the his chain sword. Opening the duffle bag at his feet he grabs some of his gear. A 'Kha 237 assault rifle it was a pullpup designed rifle, created and popularized during the war of 2145.Raven was proud of getting his hands on this one including all the ammo Crow was able to sneak on board. It was an old design with no cyber parts at all, hell the damn thing still used brass cased bullets.. Feeling a little frisky he grabs his helmet and body armor and begins gearing up for a close encounter.
Sliding out the back of his mech he activates the security system and shuts Angel down. Something was following him this whole time. Not one of the villagers something else, most likely that mantis thing Crow told him about. While everyone else dealt with the hacker he went into the woods. Sending a ping directly to Jennifer, while ignoring all the others. This thing flew from tree to tree effortlessly, it was skilled he would give it that, but so was he. His helmets HUD appears in front of him, activating his thermal vision he starts his hunt. Scanning through the forest he looks around. His P33 holstered over his right hip, and a K-bar knife resting over his heart he is prepared for anything. He continues to wade trough the forest ready for it to come out.
"Jennifer there was another species in the village that was stalking me. I am proceeding on foot in an attempt to make contact." He reports to command. "Activating tracking beacon now, so keep an eye out for me momma bird." He adds jokingly as he's heard Crow refer to her as that from time to time. "Don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you." He yells mockingly into the woods, knowing his quarry can't possibly understand him. "I know you're out there bug. If you come out we can talk, or whatever it is your people do." He continues it felt good to be out of the mech and on the prowl. It's been years since he hunted alone. He was given Crow as soon as he graduated, he'd been on a few missions on his own or with a small squad of humans. Having Crow made things far to easy, his perfect vision and accuracy made Raven feel obsolete. Even though he was the best Crow was always slightly better, it's why he agreed to be a test subject for the EDF. Countless surgeries improving his body the best science could while still keeping him organic. Cyber parts were do able, but easy to exploit so instead of replacing the man they made the man better. With the addition of his chemical ridden body he was more human than human.

Benedict finally making his way to the the location. He can't believe his own eyes hell if I remember those types of Mechs then that Crow and that other Mech is Eddy! Black Khan walks out into sight of Edward's Mech then taps away at a holo keyboard he sends a comm line request to Edward's Mech.

"Hey Benedict, sorry I didn't respond earlier. Things kind of escalated quickly over here." He spoke quietly, his usual high spirits subdued by what had just happened to his friend.

Without missing a beat, Crow had let his gauss rifle fall to the ground while his left hand lifted his old sidearm. Something that predated even Calvin's antique rifle. In his hand was a Beretta, an old police model he found in a museum. He kept his eyes trained on the indentations in the grass as the thing moved away from them. He fired two shots, splashes of purple blood sprayed into the air. The first shot had clipped the creatures left arm while the second hit him square in the shoulder. Neither of these shots would be fatal but it'd put the fear of God into that thing if it tried coming back. As ordered, he couldn't kill the thing but seeing as how restraining it won't be possible, scaring it might be best. Spears chased his departure as the Dontarie threw their weapons at the retreating alien. Crow's eyes were black like obsidian, something that only happens when he allows his defence protocols to use seventy five percent of his processing power.
"Chief, what are your orders? Find shelter in the village with our new allies or rendezvous to your position? Target managed to escape."
Miku keeps her eyes downcast, she wanted to carpet bomb the direction that thing retreated in but she knew they had limited number of missiles. Instead she got on the com's with Barnes. "The creature, have you ever seen anything like it before?"

Jeez, its like they want to kill me- oh yeah, they do. Two shots and some spears! Good thing the spears missed. Although those bullets hurt as hell! However with some quick zigzag maneuvers, he should lose them. Now that he laid down the message for these humans, he had to analyze these tribal creatures closer. They couldn't have been long on this planet if they were still only using spears. However it seems that, from his scanners, one alien, not sure if it was with the other two, was hopping from tree to tree. It doesn't seem to be hostile, perhaps it was running away? Too early to know. Before leaving he set the radio blast to send these coordinates to all communication devices, he had to show that he was peaceful and all a big misunderstanding. If they'll believe him, he wasn't too sure. He dropped a camera in the ground to see their reactions. After all, his patrols are never this exciting. Than he ran as far away as he could.
He ran on the ground, dodging the occasional flock of birds or treehugger. He always hated them. With their 5 tentacles and their dirty brown color, they just scream disgusting! I mean, come on! They spit out out their stomach acids out at the tree, allowing its long, bristled toung to slurp all the sap inside. Just revolting. Aaaannd he was ranting about animals. Shaking his head, he thought about his next objective, after all hacking was his only offensive capability, besides a rather strong punch and kick, with them in such disrepair he could never last against the reptilians, humans and whatever that alien in the trees was. Should he just go back to the colony and say he lost track of time, or should he got to the unexplored jungles, away from any backup and full of creatures probably wanting to kill him? He scanned the area around him, making sure he wasn't being followed and then went home to fix some of his tech. He also neededd to recharge practically everything, as that little scuffle took up a lot of juice. Right after he'll go back to see if he could find any remnants of those Runefangs, as they were called. They interested quite a lot actually. Robotics and people as comrades instead of servant and master. The Machinalax would be disappointed, and probably call some stupid "safety meeting" about these supposed threats. He shook those thoughts from his head and focused on repairing his damaged tech.

"Understood, Raven; proceed with caution." She began, standing dead in the middle of the control room facing away from the computer, her eyebrow raised slightly in deprecating amusement. "And Jennifer is fine." She added, her voice stern and authoritative as she registered the signal from the tracking beacon in his uniform come through loud and clear as she started pacing once more, her steps slow and deliberate as she continued to think. She sometimes wondered whether Crow knew that such a term pissed her off, but then she realised that that was exactly why he did it. Granted, Dr. Barnes had bonded with her back on Earth much quicker than anybody had anticipated due to her nature, and she had admittedly bonded with Dr. Barnes despite her somewhat cold nature, but likening her to a motherly bird was rather irritating. Although if it was travelling over to the organics, then she wondered how Dr. Barnes would react to such an assessment; she didn't like the thought of her reacting adversely to such a situation, but she would deal with it later. Right now, she had various things to be keeping track of, she mused as she noticed Crow's voice coming through the synthetic link. Hearing his predicament, she assessed the situation for an extremely brief moment in time, before looking up straight ahead and stopping in her tracks.
"I advise you to rendezvous back here; all of you." She suggested, her expression set in determination as her tone came through utterly matter-of-fact. "Naming the creatures that helped 'allies' is quite a stretch; we have no idea who they are, what they want or what their motives are in any fashion. Just because they helped us doesn't mean they want to do so or will continue to do so in the future. My ship is the largest, and is the most out of the way; it'll serve as an adequate makeshift base of operations as we discern exactly what we can do for the future regarding our two new...neighbours." She finished, heading over to the main computer as she spoke and beginning to type extremely fast as she did, making sure that everything would be set for their arrival. She hoped that all of them would refrain from succumbing to any idiotic injuries; her ship was only a few hundred metres away, but if this new planet had given her any indications at all, it was that Murphy's Law apparently wasn't confined to Earth. As she typed, her head perked up as she strengthened the synthetic link rather than dulling it.
"It seems that Calvin has taken to calling me 'momma bird'." She began, her voice dangerously nonchalant as she allowed a sense of accusatory sarcasm into her tone. "Would you care to explain how I even developed this particular moniker in the first place? I'm sure Dr. Barnes would be interested to hear the way you refer to her with me."
---
Hearing Miku's affable voice in her ear, Dr. Barnes couldn't help but notice the valiant effort she took in disguising the despondence in her tone as she spoke. For an A.I., she was remarkably open with what she was feeling. Casting her mind back to the creature, her eyes narrowed as she searched her brain.
"...No, I...I should have seen something like this on the debriefing, but I for sure suspected that there would be species here that we didn't know about at the time; humans took much less than six million years to develop into what we were. I'll do my best to look it over and analyse it if I get a chance, but for now it seems I'll be hoping for a miracle for the time being." She acquiesced, letting out a tiny, self-deprecating chuckle as she looked around the scene, quite unsure of what to do until the voice recognition HUD started moving once more on the bottom-left corner of her helmet displays.
"Dr. Barnes, we're regrouping for now back at our ship; if you'd like to return as soon as possible at your convenience." Jennifer's clear voice came through, polite and straightforward as usual. Muttering a small noise of assent to the A.I. inside her suit, she sent Miku her sincerest apologies before activating the repulsors beneath her feet and rocketing herself up into the air, expertly stabilising and maneuvering herself to head back to the ship. She wondered exactly what was going to be going on once everybody got there, but as long as Jennifer was heading it, they couldn't fail; especially if she was given the chance to prove her worth to her. It seemed that they already had their work cut out for them.

"Alright team, we're heading back. Saddle up. Ed, keep watch on our rear. I don't want anymore surprises. Ms. Barnes if you would plea- and she's gone." He said moving towards Calvin's mech. He'd ride on its shoulder while he kept an eye out. For any other nasty beasts that thought today was a good day to die. He missed Earth there he could kill anyone and anything without worrying about them breaking his mind. "Aliens." He sighed. In response to Chief's question he laughed a bit. "Because you hover over her like she was your child, Chief. For Christ sake you probably had to get her to take her vitamins this morning didn't you? You're lucky I have enough respect to not call you that. Despite how tempting that may be. And Ms.Barnes can hear what I have to say without me caring. She's a big girl, she can take a little teasing." Miku, meanwhile is staying off of the communications and generally keeping her mouth shut, even with Edward.

"Do do doo, da da dun... dun dun do do dooo... and finished!" Renic said to no one in particular. He had finally finished revamping his tech. Next time he meets the humans, he'll be prepared if they decide to shoot. While working, Renic had been looking over the data of the humans he had recovered from the wreckage and he had to say, what did the fox say? More importantly, where were the other humans, as their entire civilization can't only be just a single group, right? He couldn't wrap his head around it. Anyway, Renic had to find them again and this time actually talk like civilized people... and Runefangs... and aliens. He won't get anywhere by asking questions. Then he put on his tech and began to sneak through the colony. He couldn't let anyone know that he saw and engaged an alien, or as the Colony calls them, "potential threats". All he had to do was sneak past the dozens of guards around the perimeter and dodge all the cameras. Sounds easy, until you account the fact that they are all Technomancers, meaning they probably have scanners. Good thing Renic is also a Technomancer! He stood up from his cover behind an old apartment building and started to walk like he was supposed to be patrolling the perimeter, which he wasn't. "Che henic trienbeqe!" (The equivalent to "hey, don't mind me" in english)said to some other guards, hoping that they won't notice he didn't belong. It was rather difficult to not speak the humans language, but he managed to speak regularly.
Finally Renic was past them. Once he saw no one near, he started to run to the last confrontation with the humans, hoping to find another clue as to their whereabouts.

"I'm fine. Miku... had a rough time of it." Edward answered quietly. "When we get back to the Kamar-Taj, I'm going to take a look over the AI firewall and see if I can patch whatever vulnerability the alien used to get in and any others I find. I could use another pair of eyes to look over the code as well Ben."

While running on the ground, Renic came upon an idea. Not a good one, but an idea. What if he, instead of trying to find them and hope they won't shoot him to oblivion, he tries to hack their comms to talk! Hopefully they didn't patch up the vulnerabilities he used to get in last time.
Turns out one of the humans were trying to patch it up before any further attacks. Good call, he thought. Luckily he downloaded a program on his hacking software a while back, and in theory he should be able to trace the firewall and lead him to the human! It won't give him much information, but it would be a start, depending on which one he was tracing.
After a couple of minutes he was finished! Renic just had to walk a little. A "little" being used loosely.

"Sure I'll help you Ed anything for you and Miku! But I may have a idea if something like this we're to happen again I still have to see if I can find the parts for it. Aside from that so what kinda aliens have you met so far!?" Ben's voice sounds like a child who just wake up on Christmas morning.

While on his walk, which feels like hours, Renic thought about his home. Being a Technomancer, he had a nice home. He had a little garden (which was fully automated as Renic couldn’t bother), a little waterfall and his little pet, Jocky. Jocky was a Freerunner, always running everywhere with its long legs and its tail swinging side to side . He remembered when he first saw Jocky. The little animal was just a baby at the time, and was abandoned by his pack, so Renic took it and fed it. When Renic saw that the little Freerunner was healthy again, he opened the door and signaled it to walk out, trying to hold in a tear. However, the little animal just looked at Renic for a moment and then went, not outside, but rather to Renic's couch. As to how he ended up with his name, Renic always chuckled whenever he remembered it. Renic was younger at that time, and was but only a student in the Technomancer Academy. Each student was required to play a sport and Renic decided to go for a sport called Jocknit, in which one team had to bring a data drive to the enemy's base and the other side had to defend it. Each team could manipulate the entire field, which was made out of nanobots, to get to, or defend, their objective. The defenders could win by either defending until the time runs out or to capture each "hacker" and put them in the cells in the base. Anyway, Jocky was at the sidelines watching Renic play as a hacker. Renic was cornered by the enmy team and the only thing he could do was try and create a defensive shield, but the defenders were overpowering him. Jocky ended up jumping out of the spectators area and into the arena, charging at the defenders ad knocking them into the wall. Jocky then pushed Renic onto his back and ran to the mainframe, in which Renic promptly put the data drive in. After that, Renic decided to name his unnamed pet Jocky, after the sport he aided Renic in. Luckily, they caught it all on camera! Every third cycle, him and Jocky would watch it. Good times...

Hearing Ben's enthusiasm about the aliens Edward wanted to yell at him. These aliens couldn't be trusted! They'd already attacked and hurt them! But no. That wasn't fair to Ben, after all if their positions had been reversed Edward would have been just as curious, and it wasn't fair to these tribal aliens who'd fought alongside them. It even wasn't fair to whatever people that hacker belonged to, after all if one person was grounds for passing judgement on an entire species then humanity would have have damned a dozen times over.
"I never saw the hacker, but Crow had a gun to its head at one point so you may want to ask him. Though I did run into some reptilian tribals who were willing to fight alongside us. So I kinda like them for that reason alone. But the really interesting bit is what Miku deduced. According to telemetry Shin and Delta were knocked off course and arrived two million years ahead of us. Given that Shin was the best biologist on Earth, Miku has hypothesised that he might have spliced his DNA with the indigenous life here. We don't have any solid evidence of this yet, but it's certainly interesting to think about."

Renic was getting closer to the location of the human until suddenly he heard a screech. He automatically went into a defensive position behind a tree before he saw a familiar talon reach out of a bush. It was Jocky! The not so little critter must have followed him all the way here! Renic said something that could roughly translate to "I thought you were asleep!". To this Jocky just cocked its head, seeming to ask about where he was. Renic explained about how he was tracking a human. Then Jocky looked at his legs, his back and then at Renic. Renic immediately realized what Jocky was saying. Renic climbed on top of Jocky and rode off, narrowly dodging the trees and jumping over the occasional rock or vine.

"I don't particularly think that you're at liberty to determine what Dr. Barnes should be hearing." Jennifer spoke up after a few seconds, her jaw locked slightly in irritation. Having abandoned the main computer in the control room, she was now adjusting for the multiple arrivals that should be taking place in the near future with all of the crewmembers converging upon their position, adjusting the clamps and electrical circuits to make sure for smooth integrations with the system. "And they weren't vitamins; they were immunoboosters. Her immune system is weakened." She added defensively, sounding slightly short with Crow as she dulled the link between them and continued to prepare for their arrival. Sending a quick message to Miku to assure her that she wasn't too shaken up to act, she simultaneously acknowledged Dr. Barnes' mech approaching the ship at a high speed, touching down and heading forwards within a quick time frame of each other. Raising her eyebrow as she acknowledged the mech integrating with the system, she stepped away and headed back towards the centre of the room and the main computer, her calculations racing as they always did. Faintly hearing the whirring and clamping sounds of the mech being deactivated in the other room, she continued to face the computer, initially ignoring the figure heading out of the room several seconds later.
"Well, that was...fun." Dr. Barnes admitted somewhat breathlessly, her face in a shy smile as she headed into the main control room and towards the A.I. hovering over the keyboard of the computer on the far side of the main computer.
"Admittedly, it has been six million years since you managed to fly the mech." The A.I. acquiesced, tipping her head slightly to the side in assent with a small smile as she turned her head to look at the diminutive woman coming up besides her, almost bounding up to her side as she watched the A.I. at work. "I've informed the rest of the crewmembers that they are to meet here as soon as possible; I've altered the system to allow for the different configuration of mechs, so all that's left is for them to actually show up." She added softly, her voice somewhat quiet as she focused her eyes on the lines of code speeding past at a blinding pace, watching out of the corner of her eye the tiny woman taking a second to look at the code in confusion and letting out a small smile as the woman's eyes widened in shock at the pace.
"Sooo...what happens then?" The tiny woman asked, curious.
"That remains to be seen." The taller woman admitted, not taking her eyes off of the screen as she spoke. "After this, you may get the opportunity to analyse the biochemical makeup of our surroundings, but-"
"-Oh, is my lab still operational?" Dr. Barnes interrupted, her face lighting up in hopeful joy and earning a somewhat startled look from the A.I..
"Yes, I've made sure that everything is accounted for, but-" She began, only to be cut off by the small woman rapidly turning on her heels mid-sentence and practically bounding away in the direction of the laboratory that she had received before the trip, the words of the taller woman awkwardly dying in her throat as she watched her go. Awkwardly shaking her head slightly to return to her original train of thought, she began to request updates from the other crewmembers as to their prospective positions, while simultaneously reactivating the synthetic link.
"Crow, Miku, Dr. Barnes has arrived back at the ship; if I could have a prospective ETA, that would be terrific." She spoke up causally, an almost lazy drawl in her voice, before her eyes turned protective. "Oh, and Crow? No teasing Dr. Barnes." She added, her expression completely casual as she injected the tiniest amount of venom into her tone.

Crow couldn't help but chuckle at the chief's desire to keep her precious little bird safe and sound. He rolled his eyes but replied with, "Copy that, Chief. I won't bother your charge." He looked at the map data that they have for the area. The distance between their drop site and their base is only nine miles away. Given the speed at which the Runefangs can move he guessed it should only take a few minutes to get there. "Barring any unforseen-" Miku beats him to the punch with a curt."ETA seven minutes and thirty two seconds." This was unlike Miku, she would've let him say his piece then jump in to say something. He glanced over at their mech with concern. He could see the outline of her figure behind the reinforced glass cockpit. "Miku-" Crow began. "I'm fine." She snapped before saying with a bit of her usual happy attitude. "I'm fine, really. Just a bit shook up."
Crow, still being concerned about his fellow synthetic could only sigh. "Alright Miku. You heard her command. We'll be there soon." He cut off his connection to Miku so that he could speak with Jennifer alone. "I'm worried about her. What that thing did really is messing with her."
Tislak was watching this display with curious eyes. One of her people spoke to her through hushed whispers."Kino, the angels are leaving. What should we do?" Seeing that staying here may prove dangerous now she spoke to the concerned male. "Gather the others. We follow them to their home. We'll be safe under their watch."
